DEAR

DEAR
Episode 21

I fly. I looked around me, I didn't see Qarima and Vicky. Scroll the alarm clock located on the table next to the television, at 3 am. I'm still sitting on the bed, I think I'll wait a while, maybe they both go to toilet− simultaneously.

But, after about ten minutes of waiting, the two of them did not come. I'm getting bored, I don't want to sleep anymore either. I got off my bed and opened the horden slowly, opening it to the extent that my eyes could see out. The scenery around the beach is still the same, only, very quiet.

I was quiet for a while, my feelings were somehow very calm.

The next minute, at the end of my eyes, I saw the figure of Qarima and Fairel sitting by the pool, looking towards the beach behind me. There was a little curiosity about what the two of them were doing, I opened the horden a little wider. Then watch.

But boring. I've been watching them for a long time, but they're not doing anything. Looks like they're just talking, it's just that the boring thing is, that I can't hear it even though I want to. Our distance is far. I'd better watch TV. Thought. I was about to close the horden back, but something happened unexpectedly. The two of them moved from their seats, standing facing each other. Qarima scratched his head, then―quickly Qarima kissed Fairel.

Crazy one!

I was shocked to see it.

Qarima ran away leaving Fairel still standing glued. I also stared at him without moving. After which, Fairel looked towards me. Unintentionally our eyes met, for a few seconds we stared at each other. My feelings are not out of whack. Reflex I closed the horden. What the hell happened to me?

A few minutes later, the door opened suddenly.

“Qarima!” I said surprised.

“What? Why are you surprised?” Qarima asked with a breath of breath.

“Because you opened the door suddenly!” I said flat. My expression is back to normal, I can already control myself.

“What are you doing there, by the window?”

I'm silent. I think this is what Vicky meant, a question that doesn't require an answer. Though in my mind, I thought that Qarima wanted me to answer him.

“Since when were you there?” Ask Qarima again. He looked at me suspiciously.

“Se-since!” My answer.

“Since yesterday?” Be surprised. “Do you look out the window?” Ask Qarima again. He approached and looked at me full of probes. I shook my head.

“No!” My answer. For the first time I lied to my own will. Actually, what happened to me?

“Serious?” Convincing question.

“Ya!” My answer.

“Oh!” Relieved breath. She smiled and laid her body on the bed, “I'm so happy! Do you want to know the cause?” Ask with a bright face. He did not stop smiling a few seconds ago. “You don't want to go out? The atmosphere at night here is very pleasant.” Further.

“I ... will certainly come out.” I said. I immediately came out, as I opened the door, Qarima called out to me.

“Leva!” Call her. I'm stopping. “We're here because to make sure you're okay. Lea worries about you.” Said.

We stared at each other for a while.

“Thanks!” My words are not passionate.

He looked at me in wonder. Looks like he was shocked because for the first time he heard me say “thank you”.

* * *

I got out of the hotel and stood glued to the courtyard, here there was no one I knew. A little uncomfortable. I just go back, I thought.

“Leva!” I heard Gin calling me. I don't know why I'm grateful. I saw Gin sitting on a chair under a palm tree. “What are you doing?” Ask me.

“Stand.” My answer.

She smiles. For the first time I realized, Gin is pretty sweet.

He approached me.

“It's time to keep the promise, let's take a walk with me to the beach.”

I'm nodding. We walked slowly to the beach, crazy, cold. How could Qarima and Fairel last more than ten minutes outside the room? Bizarrely. But even stranger, Gin didn't say much, he's been quiet ever since. The Gin I'm with right now is a completely different figure from the Gin I've known. He just invited me to sit on the sand, which made the cold even more extraordinary.

“You're cold?” Ask Gin to me. Already know even ask.

“I like!” I said pretend. Why, just want to lie. Because of my ungodly feelings, I want to get rid of this cold.

“You ... like it cold?”

“Um. The wind is calm.” I lied again, but the wind was very strong.

“Really?” Ask.

He looked at me, my eyes straight ahead looking at the waves. Gin breathed slowly.

“Leva,” call him.

“I'm glad you're here, with me.” He looked at her while she looked at me.

“I also.” Honestly answered.

He looked at me deeply, for a long time. “Can we go home now? To room?” I broke the strange silence between the two of us.

Gin did not answer.

“Here is very cold, actually I do not like cold.” I can't stand it, I'm honest. And cold was useless to calm my chaotic mind.

Gin laughed softly. “This time you lied, not usually. You've changed a lot since you met the extra class kids. Something I can't do.”

Gin was silent for a moment, I looked at him. Right, his words just now, they're true. But, I think it's not just because of the awareness of the extra class that made me change, but because of him as well.

“Come!” He pulled my hand and we both came back.

At the hotel door, I accidentally met Fairel. I think the atmosphere is awkward, for some reason.

“Where did you take him away?” Fairel asked Gin. Where did this question come from?

“Ke beach.” Answer Gin as it were.

“He can hurt!” Jerky Fairel.

“Really? He said, he likes it.”

“He is like that.” Fairel said again.

“She is rarely like that.” Deny Gin.

They stared at each other for a while.

“Search your own.” Gin said angrily as he left me and Fairel both, without saying goodbye.

I sighed, we both looked at his back until he was nowhere to be seen. Yeah, that's the Gin I know. It's back again.

“Why are you outside?” Fairel asked me after a while Gin left us. He was more friendly than before, but he did not smile.

“Qarima says outside very fun.” Reply slowly.

“You want something fun?”

I nodded, confused. I don't know what kind of fun I want, because before the only fun for me was the moments where I was enjoying my solitude. But now, I'm looking for something fun that I don't know about. I seek the pleasure that is outside of me.

“Go to bed.” Said Fairel softly. He touched my head. “Do not wander again.” He's getting close to my ear. “I'm so worried!” His whisper.

Suddenly I was nervous, my heart was beating strangely.

“Also, don't slap me.” He said after he took his hand off me. I smile. So is he.

Strange, why is it, all this just flows?

                                                                                             ***

This morning, we enjoyed our last breakfast on Komodo Island. Gin and my classmates joined us. After that, we spent time at the beach until 11am, then packed up and left for the airport. As well as Gin and his entourage, we all boarded the same plane. On the plane I sat next to Vicky. Ramona and Marlyn sat side by side.

“You know Leva, I'm very happy.” Vicky said slowly. I just shut up. “Because you are different from the others.” Further. “You accepted me unconditionally!” Said.

He looked down, then slowly his tears fell. “Thanks!”

I looked at him, surprised. Is this a sinetron?

“Leva, thanks!” She said with tears in her eyes, she looked at me. I nodded, though in a confused state. Vicky was getting stranger than usual.

“Oh yes, I have something for you!” He said after he calmed down.

He took out a pendant from inside his bag. He opened the locket and showed it.

“Here, there's my picture and yours. I have the same!” He showed me the locket that was around his neck.

“We, so friends, right?” Ask carefully.

I'm nodding. Smile them.

“Then we will celebrate tomorrow night at your house!” He said excitedly.

Whahuh?
