Dandelions
35. Hopeful

The morning was still blind, the sound of crickets and other night creatures still reigning in the silence. The sun had not even shown a golden tinge in the eastern sky. Cold temperatures still piercing the skin makes most people reluctant to move.

But the lights of a car illuminate the street with its dim light, its wheels stopping on the side of the road that only illuminated the garden lights of the surrounding buildings. The glass is too dark to see the activity inside.

Not long after, one side of the window opened, displaying the figure of a man inside her. The jet eyes behind the sunglasses were fixed on a series of houses there.

"I'm on location." The typical heavy voice of the man said that the waiting sign of the call on his phone was replaced by the voice of someone across there. The tip of his lips lifted, grinning viciously.

"Good boss."

The move led the man away from his room. His white-gray uniform was deliberately wrapped in a black jacket with a gold pattern, on his left shoulder was already draped in a bag with the same motif.

That day was not as usual. He woke up late. His facial complexion looks not fresh, pale hue and dry lips are thinly covered in a face that in everyday life radiates warmth. Occasionally his eyes closed when the dizzy returned to run his temple.

His body asked to be put back on a soft mattress and wrapped in a comfortable blanket. Occasionally his gaze was blurred, but did not discourage the golden-sliced man's intention for school. It is not written in the history of Ken Ravel's life that he was truant only because of the pain he could still endure. Well, the general picture of the exemplary student.

"For Ken."

A warm smile greeted Ken. His eldest brother was standing at the end of the stairs from the second floor. A pair of red netra that has a sharp look that looks sweet due to drowsiness that is still whack. Occasionally he yawns, then breaks his messy black mane.

"Morning." "Where did you sleep last night? Wakeless?"

Hali asked as he landed the back of his hand on Ken's forehead. Make sure his sister's body temperature is no longer high. "Hmm, still warm, your face is also a bit pale. Mending today rest, do not go to school. I'll call a doctor, okay?"

Ken gently brushed off the hand, then shook his head briefly, "I'm not papa kak, just fever doang. It will heal itself." Reply while pulling the tip of his lips, forcing to smile.

Unfortunately Hali is a person who feels. He is sensitive to changes in the attitude of those closest to him. Nothing escaped the young man's eagle eyes, including the fake smile that Ken showed just because he didn't want to worry him.

He sighed, trying to hold Ken back from forcing himself. But delayed, if only the voice that stores the cheer did not first steal his attention.

"Sir Hali! Ken! Good morning!"

"Breakfast with yuk, I've made a special fried rice." His words without stripping off his smile they lipped his.

Hali smiled wryly, "It's only right from now that I smell fried rice, it's you who's cooking."

Typhoon nodded in satisfaction, "Breakfast yuk!" He seemed enthusiastic about his cooking.

"I'm going straight away." Pamit Ken to Hali. He did not at all discuss the invitation of people who had been considered dead along with the incident 6 years ago. He doesn't care, or rather doesn't care.

"Eh? Don't eat first?" Ask Hali.

"I'll eat in the cafeteria. Today there's an OSIS meeting, I'm too late. " After Ken replied. The pair of black-gold sneakers left Hali staring in wonder. Like his words Hali did not move his heart at all to be sweet.

"Ken, wait!" The call of the Typhoon forced her to stop. The bullying glare was directed at the man who was a year older than him who was replied with a warm smile. His hand thrust out a box of provisions, "I knew you wouldn't have time for breakfast, so I made this."

ken could read the sincerity of those sky-blue eyes, his binaries as if able to hypnotize him into accepting his offer. But he refused to get carried away. His gaze was unchanged, cold and piercing. For a moment he glanced at Hali behind who was just staring in silence.

He then turned his back on the Typhoon and grabbed the food box. He turned around, without saying a word. Even when his figure disappeared behind the wooden door that was now closed perfectly.

Thousands of butterflies filled his chest cavity as Ken received his cooking. It does not matter whether the supplies will end up in the trash or given to stray dogs. For him, Ken's attitude was like giving him the opportunity to re-establish a good relationship.

Unlike the Typhoon, Hali still survives the silence he swallowed alone. There was a feeling of worry crawling through the space in his heart, making him unsettled as he stared at the small back walking away.

Appeared a little frightened as the figure completely disappeared from his sight. He shook his head quickly, dismissing all the terrible shadows that suddenly perched on his mind.

"Kak Hali why?" astonished Typhoon found his brother's strange attitude.

Hali shook his head briefly, "Ngga papa. Yes, breakfast yuk!" Invite him who has already brought his feet to the dining room. Ignoring the uncomfortable feeling that stuck in the heart even though it could not escape completely.
