CURTAINS OF THE PAST

CURTAINS OF THE PAST
A WORRYING DIAGNOSIS

The Arayan residence.

Kamelia's eyes looked moist, it had been almost two hours Milka's body temperature did not go down. In fact, before he fell asleep, Milka was fussy. Not once did he want to get off his father's sling. And many times he asked to talk to his father, Toni. However, because Toni did not pick up the phone from Kemil, Milka finally fell asleep while having a lot of fun in her father's sling

"Darling... We take Milka to the puskesmas. You've dong cry it, I panic it becomes." Kemil tried to calm his camera.

"Never once has Milka had a fever this high for no apparent reason, dear. He also did not want to eat. How could I not be worried." Isak Kamelia while rubbing Milka's forehead which was flooded with cold sweat.

"Yes, I understand. I'm Milka's dad too, baby. Now that we're gonna have Cakra with mom for a second, let's get Milka to the puskesmas as soon as we can." Take Kemil increasingly trying to persuade Kamelia. Kamelia nodded.

Kemil and Kamelia take the sleeping Milka to the village pack.

Upon arriving at the health center, Milka was examined by several medical personnel there.

Kemil was asked to do a blood test on Milka to find out the disease that attacked Milka.

After waiting a few minutes, it was discovered that her HB was very low. Doctors at the health center diagnosed Milka with anemia.

Kamelia looked increasingly panicked to hear the doctor's words. Kemil embraced Kamelia's shoulder and tried to calm her, though she was also devastated to hear it.

"Actually, it's just a temporary diagnosis. If the patient's parents want, we can refer the patient to a hematology laboratory. In order to be able to find out which disease more clearly attacks the patient's body." The doctor explained to Kemil and Kamelia.

It's even a temporary diagnosis. If more is found than this, it may hurt even more. I also could not bear to see Kameliaku Ya Allah... ~ Inner Kemil while tightly grasping Kamelia fingers.

The fear that emanated in Kamelia's eyes made Kemil try to hide the fear that was lodged in him.

"It's gonna be okay, honey. You keep praying, yes, so that our Milka can recover as usual." Toni's words strengthen Camellia. Kamelia simply nodded while wiping away her tears that had not stopped flowing from earlier.

After returning to Milka's room, Kemil left Kamelia there. He plans to call Toni immediately. In such conditions, Kemil could not even decide everything on his own.

Tut's... Tut's... Tut's...

"Assalamu'alaikum Ton..." Greet Kemil when he feels across Toni has picked up the phone from him.

"Wa'alaikumussalam's chat... Yes, what's wrong, Kemil?" Toni's voice was increasingly heard anxiously from across the street.

"You're gone, Ton?" Kemil asked flatly and tried to hide the panic lodged in his mind.

"It was half an hour ago. Is everything okay, Kemil?" Toni's voice was getting more and more anxious.

Kemil was still listening to whatever his cousin was saying from across the street. Once he tried to hold the clear liquid that tried to infiltrate was about to come out of his eyes.

Fear was back in his mind. Although Milka was not her flesh and blood, she loved the little girl very much.

"What's going on, baby?" Tanya Iffah found the look on her husband's face turned sad after receiving a call from Kemil.

Toni told me everything she heard from Kemil just now. Iffah gaped at hearing Toni's story about Milka's condition at that time.

Iffah clasped Toni's fingers.

"Didn't you say. Do what is your part, let God do what is His part. The important thing is we try our best, baby." Iffah tried to calm her husband.

"Thank you dear..." Toni tried to paint a smile on her face, even though the light of her eyes showed a bitterness from within.

"Yes, wait at home. Didn't you agree to have Milka referred to XXX Hospital?" Ask Iffah.

"Yes baby..." Sahut Toni immediately turned his car which was parked on the side of the road because he received a call from Kemil.

Maybe this is one of the wheels of our life that are at the bottom... Again the ordeal comes without waiting for us to be ready or not.

I just hope you will always be strong for it. Truly, I cannot see your face drawing sorrow from your heart. Plus, your eyes aren't too good at lying.

He was so honest in expressing how you really feel right now.
