CURTAINS OF THE PAST

CURTAINS OF THE PAST
SISTER-IN-LAW

As planned, they did not go straight to Toni's house. They first stopped by a minimalist contract that had been in Iffah before becoming Toni's wife at that time.

Ghali, the man who became their destination that twilight.

How's the boy doing now, huh? I haven't even contacted him since.~ Toni murmured when her car had reached their destination.

"When are you in touch with Ghali?" Toni asked Iffah who was still busy looking at her face.

"Evening, and even then he's just asking about your situation." Ketus Iffah threw away his lips.

"Isn't he?" Tony feels guilty about it.

"Hu um..." Iffah is honest.

"Why didn't he just call me?." Even though Toni knew the answer, she still wanted to ask.

"You think for yourself... Even if he wants to ask, that's later, after he knows you're still acting like he was. At most he'll just take me away from you." Iffah expressed his frustration given Toni's behavior last night.

"Just try if he's brave..." Threat Toni.

"What are you going to do?" Iffah looked at her husband.

"I'll kidnap you back from him." The Sahut Toni.

"How is it?"

"It won't be hard, you love me too, right?" Toni grinned to find Iffah looking embarrassed.

Iffa turned his face away from Toni. "Shameful." Decak Iffah twisting his body.

"Don't be ashamed, Ghali will see your cheeks meet. You'll be more embarrassed about it." Toni is teasing her wife.

Toni pulls out of her car in front of Iffah's old house, which is still inhabited by her sister.

"It looks like Ghali's home, I'm down." Said Iffah when his eyes found his sister's sports bike was parked on the terrace of the minimalist house.

"Wait here for a minute." Toni orders him to get out of the car.

"I could have opened the door." Complaints Iffah.

"Even though you've become my wife, that doesn't mean I can change that fast, right?" Toni smiled looking at the disheveled face of Iffah.

"Assalamu'alaikum's chat..." Iffah knocked on her own door several times. He seemed so enthusiastic when he set foot for the first time since his marriage with Toni took place at that time.

"Wa'alaikumussalam..." Ghali pulled the doorknob from inside. She was so surprised to find her brother had been in front of her back then.

"Sister Iffah..." His exclamation while throwing his embrace to Iffah. He looked so happy because he missed his half-brother so much.

"Ahems... Ahems... Hem... Hmm..." Toni who felt neglected immediately cleared her throat to see the happiness of her sister.

"You thought I was a pole, huh?" Toni slightly glared her eyes at Ghali.

The brother and sister laughed at Toni's behavior that was ignored by them.

"Sister, didn't you say last night, brother's husband still can't be disturbed?" Ghali asked as if he was insinuating Toni.

"My feet ache, until when are you going to let guests stand outside?" Toni turned Ghali's question around, fearing that Ghali would say the same thing Iffah said in his car.

Ghali and Iffah look up at Toni's behavior.

"Alright, please come in Mr. Antoni." Ghali invited her brother's husband to come in.

"Ghali, actually I feel sorry for you, you can go crazy living alone in this house. That's why my brother and I came here to pick you up." Toni said when she was inside the house.

"I-I mean Mr Antoni?" Ghali seemed to not understand Toni's words so suddenly.

"Yes deck, Mr. Bobi and Bi Chellin asked you to stay there." Iffah explained to her sister to understand.

"But..." Ghali looks very sad.

"No need to wear Ghali's buts... We are family. I'd love it if you'd accept our offer." Tony looked serious about his words. He did not seem to be joking at the time.

"Then what about this house, brother?" Ask Ghali to Iffah.

"This house is emptied, the furniture we donate to the orphanage or nursing home, the deck. Part of this house if empty, there will be other residents who want this house." Clear fluid gathered in Iffah's eyes. He seemed to love the house that has been holding him for more than a year.

"Then let me stay here for the night, sir. Tomorrow's the weekend, so I can take it." Pinta Ghali fast. She did not want her brother to be even more grieved if she bid again.

"Well, tomorrow I'll come back to help you. And one more thing, brother-in-law, not Sir or Father. I'm uncomfortable." Tony started joking back.

"Every sister-in-law..." Sahut Ghali made Iffah smile at that time.

The two men Iffah loved were very happy to see a smile on the face of his father Iffah.

They smile for the Iffah smile.
