The car driven by detective Egan stopped on a deserted road and to the right of the road there were only empty lands there was only one house there, right on the side of the road.
Detective Egan got off first then opened the rear passenger door and helped Brian down.
Brian goes down in handcuffs and detective Egan with a gun in his hand orders Brian to walk first.
Brian began to step through the yard of the house that clearly looks abandoned. Houses without fences with worn paint and roofs that are almost collapsing look very alarming.
“Stop!“ detective Egan shouted as Brian approached an old garden table on which was a pot whose plants had dried.
Brian obeys the order and detective Egan walks ahead of Brian in wide strides. Detective Egan approached the table and checked around the pot and got a small pistol under it.
Detective Egan turned himself facing Brian and smiled as he raised the small gun, “You think you can fool me?!“
Brian can only smile when detective Egan catches his plan but he really doesn't want to argue anything at all.
“Come, walk again,” said detective Egan while swinging his gun.
Brian was again obeying the orders given by detective Egan, he extended his steps even though with difficulty because both legs were chained
Brian stopped under a very large oak tree and its leafy leaves. Most of the leaves have fallen in the wind and turn yellow on the ground just below the tree.
“This is where I buried my first victim,” Brian said as he faced detective Egan who was still brandishing his gun at Brian.
“Are you sure!?“ detective Egan asked as he continued to stare into Brian's eyes.
“I or you did it?!“ ask Brian in a mocking tone.
Still brandishing his gun, detective Egan tried to unload the dried leaves under his feet. There is a tombstone reading “Rest peacefully my beloved, lucy.“
Detective Egan looked back at Brian who was now smiling with satisfaction as if he had played a detective.
“This is not your first victim. The one lying here is your wife,” detective Egan said.
“You are indeed suitable to be called a detective. You are so great guessing,” said Brian.
“Lantas what purpose did you bring me here?“ ask detective Egan calmly.
“I hope our trip here can help you become what you want,” Brian gave an answer.
“In your opinion, what do I want to be like?“
“Getting out your real self,” Brian said.
“Tell me, what I really look like,” detective fishing line Egan.
“Just like you, I also lost the woman we love the most and I know what it's like to want to avenge the one who took the life of our loved ones, he said,” Brian said with fiery emotions.
“I don't think I'm like that,” elak detective Egan.
“When you become a policeman and detective, when you catch a criminal you must imagine him as the one who killed your lover right!? Then you beat it all out so you often have to be pulled by other members of the police. You know why!? That's because you're holding your true self back,” Brian is still trying to provoke detective Egan.
Detective Egan was silent for a while, trying to deny what Brian said, but the more he tried to deny he felt that what Brian said was true.
A horrible smile was painted on Brian's face.
“You are not sane. You are supposed to rot in prison,” detective Egan said.
“I don't like being in there detective. The room was small and I still had to share the place with other inmates. It was stuffy and humid and too noisy for me who loved solitude. Have you ever tried to get there, or maybe you want to try it!?“
Once again the annoying smile of detective Egan Brian was shown on his face.
“I don't need to go there because it doesn't do evil things like what you do and I've never been interested in being there.“
“It's a shame, but being in there is a pretty pleasant experience. I have felt it and I want to share that experience with you. If only you would obey your killing instincts,” said Brian.
“I am not a murderer and will never be a murderer,” Detective Egan replied very calmly.
“Don't push yourself too hard to be someone else detective,” taunts Brian.
“That's enough. Let me know where your first real victim's body is and I'll put you back in that cold, damp and cramped prison,” detective Egan said.
“What am I going there for? Here it is much more pleasant, free, spacious, cool. Try to feel the wind blowing detective,” said Brian.
“I tell you, this place is not suitable for you.“
“Why do you think this doesn't fit me? While this is my wife's family home and right on your feet the wife is lying peacefully. This house has many memories, most of which are these memories. You know why I don't sell this house and land detective?“
“Should I know your reason?“ detective Egan said.
“While you do not want to know I will still tell you the reason,” said Brian with a face full of excitement like a child who gets a new toy.
“I left this place empty and belong to my wife's family because I want to rest here with my beloved wife.“
Brian stepped back slowly making detective Egan even more vigilant. Detective Egan raises his gun a few inches.
“My wife always said that this house is the most beautiful place to rest, so I buried her here, she must be happy. Especially if I accompany him lying here.“
Brian again stepped back, “I've told you, on our way this time there must be something m*ti detective.“
Brian then deliberately stepped on a mine that he had long placed there.
“DUAR!!“
At once Brian's body was shattered into pieces, providing a terrible situation for detective Egan who was alone there.
Still in shock, detective Egan's phone rang and he immediately picked it up.
“Lo where?“ ask Detective Keiko on the phone.
“Gue share its location to lo,” replied detective Egan.
“Lo still with Brian?“ ask Detective Keiko again.
“Still. But now he's just in the form of a splinter.
