Code 810 - Running to Stay Alive
Chapter Eleven

Now detective Egan and the man they were targeting are in the interrogation room. They sat facing each other, but this time the man was no longer wearing glasses and a black mask that had covered his face and identity.

While detectives Keiko and Brox stood in the next room, paying close attention without playing a direct role in the interrogation session this time.

“Welcome!“ detective Egan said in a non-serious tone to the man.

“A place like this?! really stuffy and uncomfortable,” grumbled the man while watching around the interrogation room.

“Is this room uncomfortable for you? aren't you happy to be in a jasmine hotel that should also feel stuffy because of its small size,” detective Egan replied.

“You are wrong to think that the hotel I occupy is a narrow and shabby hotel. You seem to need to come and get into it and see how the atmosphere there is,” replied the man arrogantly as if he disagreed with the way detective Egan commented.

“No, thank you. I prefer to be in my office this, it seems much more comfortable here,” reply detective Egan no less arrogant.

“We just go straight to the point, why am I brought to this place?“ asked the man while putting fingers on his hands.

“First of all, you were arrested for running away from the police,” Detective Egan replied.

“Where do I know that you guys are cops, you guys are more like a bunch of thugs,” reply that time.

“How can you not know who we are, we have mentioned who we are when asking you to stop,” said detective Egan.

“Article 810? Sorry but I never heard that,” said the man as if underestimating detective Egan and his division.

But detective Egan tried to hold back his anger and now offers a photo showing Bondan and himself standing behind Bondan even though not their distance I was too close.

The man advanced his seat and fixed the picture that detective Egan had placed on the table.

“You know him?“ ask detective Egan.

“This man?“ ask the man.

“Iya, she. Do you know him?“ ask detective Egan again.

“No,” replied the man while regressing his sitting position.

“Come! Take a good look. You must know the man in this photo because there is your photo,” said detective Egan felt that the man in front of him was underestimating him.

“It was just a coincidence. Could happen, right?!“ tell that guy.

“So you think this photo is a coincidence?“ detective Egan tested the man.

“Did you guys a bunch of people take me to this place just because of this coincidence?“ protest the man.

“We are not just a bunch of people,” detective Egan said.

“Whatever the name of the kalin but you guys gang up on me just because of a coincidence which according to a famous expert who stated that coincidences in the world can happen hundreds of times a day,”.

Detective Egan did not reply to the man's statement, but detective Egan took another photograph from the map he had been carrying since and placed it on the table in front of the man.

The man was silent when he saw the photo in which there was Bondan's face and again there was also himself.

“We just want to know who you really are because a while ago we were trying to dance know you but you're like a person who never was,” said detective gan when finally the arrogant mouth of the man no longer issued words.

“We tried to find you through a face scan but still we did not get your data. No name. no fingerprints, no identity recorded in our data base,” continued detective Egan but once again the man locked his mouth.

“So who are you?“ ask detective Egan.

In another room, detective Keiko who noticed the interrogation also ignited her emotions and muttered, “Surely she is a madman who helps a murderer fulfill his desires. You guys are crazy!“

Mr. Brox who heard the mutterings from detective Keiko could only smile a little without giving any reaction to his men on that one.

Meanwhile inside the interrogation room the atmosphere was still silent. Detective Egan is still waiting without asking any other questions trying to wait for an answer from the man, but the man who was sitting in front of detective Egan seemed to still choose silence while trying to think to give an answer to what detective Egan who was sitting watching him while folding his hands in the chest.

After a long period of silence, detective Egan finally opened his voice.

“Alright if you do not want to tell us your identity, I will ask the help of the television to broadcast your face in every news they broadcast. Let's just see, who will recognize you and tell us,” snapped detective Egan after his patience waited up.

Detective Egan stood up from his seat, picked up the photos he had placed on the table and put them back in the brown folder he had been carrying.

“You need to know, when I go through that door then your opportunity is up,”, said detective Egan while pointing to the door of the interrogation room.

“I will answer all your questions but with one condition,” suddenly men iu open mouth.

Initially, detective Egan did not want to do any negotiations with the man because he felt that this man should feel guilty and instead asked for anything from the police.

“What if I don't want to qualify it?“ ask detective Egan.

“I think you will meet the conditions I gave for the case you are currently working on,” reply the man who is now turning serious tone.

Hearing and seeing the look of the man's face that now looks very serious, detective Egan decided to at least hear what conditions will be given the man.

“Tell me what terms you will apply,” detective Egan said.

The man pointed to the camera that recorded all their activities in the interrogation room and said, “I want the Camera turned off.“

Detective Egan ckup is confused as well by the conditions requested by the man but he twists his neck and eyes as if beckoning to detective Keiko and Mr. Brox.

Mr. Brox who understood the intent of the detective's gesture ordered Egan to the operator in the room to turn off the camera that recorded the activities in the interrogation room.

The surveillance camera in the room went out as a sign that the camera was no longer working and would not record anything in the interrogation room where detective Egan and the man were now reside.

Detective Egan looks at the camera and tells the man that the camera will no longer record anything.

“Tell us what you should say. We have fulfilled your request,” detective Egan said with a serious face.
