Code 810 - Running to Stay Alive
Chapter Twenty-six
“But what if I mention a name, such as.... gerald Pillow for example? Do you know the name well, Brian?“ ask detective Keiko.
When he heard the name mentioned by detective Keiko, suddenly the look on Brian's face changed. The arrogant seyuman that from the beginning he always displayed on Brian's cold face suddenly disappeared in an instant.
Detective Keiko now alternately smiles satisfied because he feels that now he has won this psychological warfare with the suspect in this case, Brian.
“Seeing from the reaction you showed this time it seems like my analysis is correct. You recognize both names well, don't you Brian!?“ detective Keiko said as she looked back, where the one-way mirror on the other side contained detective Egan who was standing and still kept an eye on the interrogation between detectives Keiko and Brian.
But it turns out that at that time was the point of careless detective Keiko who was realized by Brian and quickly utilized by him.
Brian quickly pushes the table in front of him and immediately attacks detective Keiko until finally the body of detective Keiko hits the mirror one way behind him and makes the glass crack and then detective Keiko fell down and fell hit desk.
Detective Egan who saw it was of course shocked and moved quickly trying to help his partner, detective Keiko who was in an unfortunate condition.
Detective Egan exits the surveillance room and heads to the interrogation room where Detective Keiko is still sitting. But on the ssat as well, Brian lunged at the cracked glass and managed to get out of the interrogation room even with both hands still cuffed.
“Lo nothing Kei?“ detective Egan asked worriedly when he would help his partner.
“Gue is nothing. Quickly chase after Brian,” detective Keiko orders while holding back pain in the abdomen.
Knowing that a dangerous criminal is coming out of the interrogation room and potentially endangering many people and after confirming that his partner can still take care of himself then detective Egan immediately ran to pursue their suspect in the case they're working on right now, Brian.
Brian ran as fast as he could. He tried to open every door he passed along the passageway to the elevator with his hands cuffed, but he could not open any of them.
Mr. Brox who saw the commotion in his men's room from inside his office was disturbed curiosity and came out to see what happened.
Just now Mr. Brox turned his head out of the door of his study he saw detective Egan who was running after Brian and so came running also trying to help detective Egan catch Brian.
Brian who was trapped in the middle of the room of the detectives and staff in the murder division suddenly panicked because he felt surrounded and could not escape from the place again.
Among Brian's growing panic, Aris who did not understand the situation in the room casually walked closer to Brian who was standing on his back.
Brian, who realizes that Aris is wearing a lab coat, knows that Aris is neither a detective nor an armed officer, and is convinced that Aris is a weak person he can take advantage of he was made a hostage.
“DO NOT APPROACH!“ brian shouted that was making Aris as a hostage and attached the sharp weapon to the neck of Aris.
Hearing orders from Brian and seeing the condition of Aris who has begun to limp for fear of making detective Egan, Aris, mr. Brox and the rest of the room also became panicked and chose to obey Brian's wishes for the safety of Aris.
“Brian patience! Don't do stupid things that can harm yourself,” said detective Egan trying to calm Brian.
“Let the knife Brian. We can talk all right,” continued Detective Keiko who just arrived in the room.
“We don't need to talk well. Free me and let me go from here then I will free this cute friend of yours,” Brian replied while continuing to press Aris' neck with a sharp weapon in his hand since.
Getting the treatment, of course, makes Aris become much more frightened until he unconsciously screamed because he also endured the pain in the neck that was injured by a sharp weapon.
Everyone in the room including detectives Egan and Keiko became increasingly panicked and asked Aris to stay calm so that they could think quickly in this kind of situation.
“Relax Aris, you have to calm down,” detective Egan said.
But it seems Brian feels that he can already control the situation in the room and is very confident that he can escape from the place this time.
Brian dragged Aris slowly and tried to get to the elevator door at the end of the hallway, while the detectives can only watch very carefully still trying to find a gap so they can spread Aris and quickly recapture Brian.
Aris who was very scared at that time had started to limp and because of that made the weight felt much heavier for Brian who was still trying to drag Aris, and because of that, he was still trying to drag him, walk back to the elevator and try to watch the movements of the detectives.
“Little movement on your hands then he will soon lose his life and meet the Lord, he said,” Brian snapped as the corner of his eye saw one of the detectives trying to grab the firearm behind his jacket and that of course made the detectives worried as well.
Once again Aris let out a small scream because he felt now the pressure on his neck deepened and a painful sensation he felt there.
Within seconds of the small scream from Aris, a firearm exploded and a split second later Brian fell on the floor of the room with blood flowing and flooding around his body.
When Brian's body fell, there, detective Abraham was standing in front of the elevator door that had just been closed with his right hand holding a firearm that had just spewed a bullet that made Brian immediately crash.
