Code 810 - Running to Stay Alive
Chapter Ten
Detective Egan immediately returns to his own study, descending in the elevator while occasionally checking his phone, just in case anything new might be missed by him.
When the elevator door opened, Mr. Brox was standing while looking at the number that showed the position of the elevator above the door.
“Where to?“ ask Mr. Brox while stepping into the elevator.
“From the room Aris sir,” replied detective Egan who actually stepped out of the elevator.
“Report to me if there are any new developments,” reply pa Brox who pressed the button to close the elevator door and detective Egan just smiled answering the orders of Mr. Brox.
Arriving at her study, detective Keiko is busy with a few things on her desk.
“Udah receive message from Aris?“ ask detective Egan.
“Aris send what?“ ask Keiko's detective while grabbing the phone lying on the table right in front of her and checking it.
Detective Egan then sends a file to the computer they used to check some evidence in the form of a video or a collection of photos.
“Try to see this deh,” said detective Egan.
Detective Keiko, who was initially busy checking her phone, now stands up from her seat and looks at the big screen in their room.
On the screen is now emblazoned some photos that were detectitf Egan saw in the room Aris, and now the two detectives are trying to pay attention to each photo carefully.
“According to you, what do we get from this collection of photos?“ ask detective Egan.
Detective Keiko in fact took some time until the end he realized what detective Egan had realized since in Aris' room earlier.
“The one in front of this is our doer, right, Bondan?“ ask detective Keiko.
“Betul!!“
“Certain men with sunglasses and masks who is it?“ detective Keiko asked as soon as she realized the men who always seemed to be following their suspect.
“That's it, she's that's what I mean. But unfortunately Aris has not been able to analyze the man through this photo,” said detective Egan.
Detective Keiko watched the set of photos carefully and began to manage the information she received inside her fist.
“What might they actually be in cahoots,” detective Keiko said.
“Means lo?“
“I mean, is it possible that the man behind our suspect is actually the dead accomplice?“ detective Keiko begins to draw conclusions that she made herself.
Detective Egan feels amazed by the mindset of detective Keiko. Detective Egan, who initially did not think about it, felt that it could make a lot of sense.
“Do not, the person who contacted you yesterday was this man, so the voice we heard yesterday is not a familiar voice for Angela,” said detective Keiko.
Hearing that, detective Egan increasingly felt confident that all of those things as if the puzzle that began to be neatly arranged and made all the more reasonable.
“So our suspect did not commit all these crimes himself,” detective Egan said as he thought.
“Possibly we can put in the thing that could have happened, right?!“ detective Keiko's revenge.
While Egan and Keiko are trying to convince themselves of the most plausible possibility of a collection of photos and surrounding scenarios, detective Egan and Keiko's cell phone reads.
Aris sent the two detectives a new photo with an info underneath.
“Isn't this a photo of a man wearing the mask and sunglasses we just discussed?“ detective Keiko said.
“Betul! Try reading the info under his photo deh,” detective Egan directing.
The photo shows a man wearing black glasses and wearing a mask riding in a taxi.
“Photo when is this?“ ask detective Keiko.
“This is the time and place where CCTV took pictures of the man. About thirty-five minutes ago,” retorted detective Egan.
“Will he escape?“ ask detective Keiko.
“Unfortunately we never really knew. Or worse, maybe we'll lose track of him if he goes out of town, ” detective Egan.
“Why are you so pessimistic about gan,” detective Keiko said.
“The reality is we will lose our suspect accomplice Kei,” retorts detective Egan still feels that their situation is not good.
“Lo forgot that we have Aris?“ detective Keiko said excitedly.
“How can I forget the same guy as smart as Aris. But what does this have to do with it?“ ask detective Egan who is beginning to get confused.
Detective Keiko walked over to the big screen and now changed the look inside of the photos of the suspect along with the person they suspected to be the accomplice of the perpetrator and now changed the photo of the person who getting into a taxi that will take him somewhere.
Detective Keiko pointed to one of the dots in the photo and said confidently, “Plat number in this taxi looks very clear.“
“Iya, then?“
“We can ask Aris to check the license plate number of this car, detective Keiko replied.
“We know that the taxi belongs to a Kei company, why do we check again,” said detective Egan.
“Egan, because taxis are public vehicles run by a company, of course, they have detailed records of everything that concerns the vehicle and driver, right?“ detective Keiko threw a question to her partner.
“Betul, then?“
“We ask Aris to find the name of the company that manages the taxi and ask the company to list the taxi trip and from there we can find out where this man went,” said detective Keiko.
“Keiko, rarely does one taxi only carry one passenger in one day,” detective Egan tried to refute.
“Come Egan. We can ask the same company to check at the time where this man went up. Not that Aris has given us a reference about the time when this man went up?!“ detective Keiko said again.
“Yeah! why don't I think I got there?! if not together you maybe I missed this important detail,” praise detective Egan.
“Already, do not need to fly me as high as the sky. Right now, the most important thing is we find out where this black man goes,” said detective Keiko trying to divert their conversation because actually he was already flattered when he heard what was said by his partner.
“Oh yes, actually also lo. We need to contact Aris so that he immediately checks and finds out about these data,” said detective Egan while walking to his desk.
Detective Egan picks up the phone on his desk, tries to contact Aris through the intersection and asks Aris to find all the info related to the taxi that brought the bespectacled and masked man.
