Code 810 - Running to Stay Alive
Chapter Thirty-two
After going through a pretty rough debate with Mr. Brox, finally, the two detectives get a license from the prosecutor's office to be able to take Brian out of prison for a while to solve their case thanks to the help of Mr. Brox who lobbied directly to the prosecutor who handled this case trial.
Detectives Egan and Keiko were already waiting outside the prison, and with mixed feelings they stood beside their mohil.
Birdella came out of the washcloth and carried a bag of medicine given by the doctor inside the washcloth, the place where Brian was finally moved to wait for the detetifs to collect enough data to be used as evidence in the trial.
“Not an easy thing for me to ask the doctor in this room to let Brian out,” complained Birdella when approaching detectives Egan and Keiko.
“But you are very close to the doctor in this room, even exceeding our closeness,” detective Keiko said.
“Gue actually feels you have a special relationship with the doctor in this room,” chirped detective Egan.
“Lo again often watch what the hell, until it has such an image,” Birdella.
Somehow the words from Birdella actually make detectives Egan and Keiko actually laugh and make Birdella red cheeks.
“This, the drugs you need to give as long as Brian goes with you,” Birdella said as she thrust a pouch into the hands of detective Keiko.
“Why am I the same Keiko suddenly became a doctor for Brian?“ grouse detective Egan.
“It wasn't you who asked that you could bring Brian from here. Do you forget the same whining you own gan,” said Birdella.
“But not kayak gini also sih del,” detective Egan back grumbling.
“As a doctor, whatever the status of the patient, the doctor should always treat him as a patient. Take care of them properly and correctly and because you force a patient out of his care then you must take responsibility for the health of the patient,” Birdella tries to explain.
Detective Egan let out a long sigh knowing that he could not escape this one responsibility.
Detective Egan realizes that now on this mission he is charged with taking care of not only himself but also the safety of detectives Keiko and Brian who are actually criminals.
Shortly thereafter Brian came out in a prison uniform with handcuffs tied tightly to his hands and feet while throwing a smile at detectives Egan and Keiko.
Brian walked by being squeezed by two officers from the prison on his left and right and three other officers behind him who held weapons as a form of preparation for things that were not desirable.
“Happy day my two beloved detectives,” greet Brian so close to detectives Egan and Keiko.
Detective Egan only replied with a cynical smile that made him look so annoying and of course it did not go unnoticed by Brian.
“Please enter. “
Detective Keiko allows Brian to get into the car that will take them to the location where the first victim was buried.
“Will no police accompany our journey? brian asked after looking around.
“Whose do you think you are? Artist, politician or famous figure,” replied detective Egan ketus.
Not answering questions from detective Egan, Brian actually went straight into the car whose door had been opened by detective Keiko.
After bidding farewell to Birdella and the prison guards, detectives Egan and Keiko get in the car. Detective Keiko is driving the car with the intention that detective Egan can always keep an eye on Brian and protect detective Keiko.
“I'm not arrogant, detective. But maybe you forget that people like me will soon be famous if my case is already known by the public crowded,” suddenly Brian said after the car was quiet for a while.
“You are truly a person full of immense confidence,” this time detective Egan really admired Brian's confidence but Brian who heard the praise was even widened.
“How long have you been paired with this partner, beautiful detective?“ ask Brian to Detective Keiko.
“You are a very patient person,” praise Brian.
For detective Egan who had just been heard by him was not a compliment but somehow detective Keiko actually felt really flattered to redden both cheeks.
“Do you feel happy to hear it?“ whispered detective Egan while leaning his body towards detective Keiko who was driving a car.
“What does lo mean?“ detective Keiko asked him to hide his pleasure.
“Lo face, lo face is very red,” connect detective Egan.
“Ish very noisy lo.“
This time detective Keiko raised the volume of her voice, again trying to unclog her embarrassment.
Brian, who seemed to know what was going on, was just lying in the back passenger seat.
“Is there a spark of love between you?“ ask Brian.
Both detective Egan and detective Keiko are shocked to hear the question posed by Brian to make things very awkward.
One more time Brian laughed heartily at the attitude displayed by detectives Egan and Keiko.
“Do not laugh too much, it can make you lose a lot of memory,” detective Egan said.
“Who taught you that stupid thing?“ ask Brian after finishing his laugh.
“That's just a myth,” chimpanzee detective Keiko who is still trying to concentrate on the street in front of her.
“Ah, lo the pretentious Kei,” reply detective Egan fierce.
Brian keeps his eye on detective Egan and Keiko among the fierce clash of the two in the first row seat of the car that brought them.
As if enjoying a show, Brian occasionally smiled and frowned in turn listening to every speech that came out of the mulit of detectives Egan and Keiko.
“you know something?!“ brian said he stopped the detective debate Egan and Keiko suddenly.
“What!“ detective Egan and Keiko answered simultaneously making Brian rather shocked.
“You remind me of something,” replied Brian.
“What we remind you of Tom and Jerry?“ ask detective Keiko.
“Or like Sylvester and Tweety?“ detective Egan said.
“Not. Not the four of them,” replied Brian.
“Lantas for you we look like who?“ urged detective Keiko.
Brian smiled sweetly this time, not the usual grin that adorned his cold face. A warm, sweet smile that actually makes detective Egan feel creepy when he sees it through the reflection on the mirror in the middle.
“What a quarrel you guys have made me think of both my parents. They used to fight like this but the two were loyal to each other until death separated them.“
