Seeing her parents corner Charlie, Claire sighed and said, “Dad, Mom, don't blame Charlie, this is all my wish, I don't want our family to be exiled anymore, I don't want our family to be exiled, haven't we suffered enough?”

The young man is Wendell Jones, who comes from the Jones family who chased Claire without giving up.
Wendell smiled and said. “Auntie, I heard about the negotiation Claire will do with Emgrand Group, so I'm here to give you some ideas.”

Elaine looked enthusiastic, and she saw Wendell like a favorite daughter-in-law, she quickly let Wendell into the house and said. “Wendell, can you help Claire win the Emgrand Group contract?”
Wendell nodded and smiled politely. He completely ignored Charlie, treating him like a small insect. He walked straight towards Claire and said softly. “Claire, why didn't you tell me about this? It's a very big thing. But, don't worry, my family has a good relationship with the Emgrand Group. I'll talk to my dad, and we'll figure out a way to help you get through this.”
Actually, Wendell's father, didn't have the kind of influence he was talking about, but he wanted to win Claire's heart by saying that.
Claire knew, that Wendell had feelings for her a long time ago, so she rejected it subtly. “Wendell, I appreciate your offer, but no thanks, I'll find my own way.”
Elaine looks confused and scolds Claire, “Claire, are you crazy? Mr Jones is very kind and generous to come here and want to help you, how can you talk like that?”
Claire was speechless, but Charlie seemed interested and asked Wendell, “Master Jones, I was wondering, how can you help Claire? Emgrand Group is very big and I guess, you don't have a big influence, right ‘kan? And you said, have a way to help Claire win that contract?”
Wendell said while sneering, “What do you know? The Jones family and the Emgrand Group have been working together for years. This time, our family has secured a third of the 2 billion dollar project! Therefore, I will ask my father to allocate 10 million dollars to contract Claire—the problem is over, don't you think?”
Charlie was surprised. “Wow! I don't know, if the Joneses have a very close relationship with Emgrand Group!”
Then, Wendell stared intently at Charlie with a look of disgust as she said, “Charlie Wade, I will give you a piece of advice. A frog like you better leave Claire now. A loser like you will not be able to give happiness, you are just a burden for him.”
Claire said loudly. “I'm sorry, Mr. Jones, I don't need your help, and please take care of your talk!”

Claire said in a serious tone, “He's not a loser, he's my husband!”
Wendell's face suddenly became gloomy. He said very loudly. “Alright! You ask, do as you wish! I want to see how you can solve this problem! Don't come and cry before me, for not giving you a chance when you fail!”
Wellen turned around and slammed the door, then left.
Elaine went after Wendell, but she had already gone far. Elaine returned in a fit of rage, pointing at Charlie and shouting. “You! How dare you! What can you do besides being a burden? Mr. Jones kindly tried to help, but you threw him out!”
Charlie said in a flat tone. “Mother, he just talks, he can't even win a contract with Emgrand Group, how he will help Claire!”
“Omong empty!!” Elaine said angrily. “What do you know, you are just a stupid loser! The Jones family has secured one-third of the contract worth 2 billion dollars!”
Charlie did not show any expression, but in his heart, he felt a sense of annoyance in his mind. I don't know how influential the Joneses are, which I know the Emgrand Group won't have anything to do with them!
