Guests gave Douglas gifts. With the painting behind him, Charlie walked towards Douglas and said, “Congratulations, Friend. It's a small gift from us to celebrate the opening ceremony of your restaurant.”
Claire said with a smile, "Douglas, congratulations and best wishes for this opening event. May your business be successful in the coming years!”
“Thank you, thank you!” Douglas quickly nodded. Then, he drew closer to Charlie's ear and whispered with a mischievous smile, “Hey, I see you and our prima donna have a pretty close relationship, unlike the rumors! When are you planning to have a child?”
Claire blushed in embarrassment when she heard the whisper. Charlie replied, "Stop it. If she's pregnant, you're the first to know and I'm expecting-gift-from you!”
“Of course!” Douglas laughed and nodded. “I'll give you a great gift!”
At that moment, a woman with an ordinary face but thick makeup appeared near Douglas and said, “Douglas, who are they?”
“This is my college friend, Charlie! And this is his wife, class prima donna and also wife Charlie.”
After introducing them, Douglas introduced the woman beside him, “This is my fiancee, Lily Lewis.”
“Oh? He's the berengse..”
Lily exclaimed, then she realized she was wrong, then, she cleared her throat and spoke with a smile, “Douglas always told me about you, you guys

Charlie paid no heed to her words and handed the painting over to Lily. “This is a small gift from us.”

Contrary to what she said, Lily immediately opened the gift.
Charlie said, “Solve your affairs, we can take care of ourselves.”
“OK,” Doouglas apologized, “Sorry, Charlie, I have to say hello to the other friends.”
Shortly after Charlie and Claire leave, Lily quickly opens the gift box and finds a scroll inside. He frowned in annoyance and said, “What is this? What did your friend give us?”
“Huh!” Lili clucked in annoyance. He unrolled the scroll and looked at it with a sneer, “What the hell is this! Old and worn painting, I bet it costs only a thousand or two thousand dollars.”
Douglas said ferociously, “You can't judge anything by its price! Their sincerity and goodwill are paramount.”
“Ahh, enough with your lecture! I warn you, no more contact with a friend like him! They have the heart to give us this damn little painting that can't even cover the meal bill!”
Douglas' face flushed red with annoyance. “Lily, do you have to be that arrogant?”
Lily growled furiously, “Douglas Adam, how can you say that? I'm arrogant? If I am arrogant, why do you want to be with me, you poor fellow! Don't forget, my father has invested most of his money into this restaurant!”
Douglas blinked in shock, slightly surprised and embarrassed.
Clinton walked towards them at the time. He seemed to already feel better after the incident of his car catching fire, his arrogant and haughty expression appearing again on his face.
He handed me a thick envelope and said casually, “Doug, I don't know what I should give you, so this, the financial aid envelope'.”
Lily thanked him profusely when she received the envelope. He squeezed the envelope and estimated the contents to be around 8,000-10,000 dollars, so he smiled happily and said, “Thank you very much!”
Clinton flicked her hand casually and asked, “I saw Charlie give you something, what is it?”
Lily grunted dejectedly, “Uhm, painting, it must be from the flea market, trash for a hundred or two hundred dollars!”
Clinton grinned, “Basic loser, still a loser!”
