CHAPTER 15
Charlie did not return home immediately after leaving Emerald Court.
He wanted to give his wife a complete surprise for the wedding anniversary celebration.
His surprise was not just a precious jade necklace—he wanted to make a romantic wedding for his wife.
As she recalls the past, Charlie and Claire register their marriage in haste on orders from Mr. Wilson, Claire's grandfather, and they don't host the wedding.
Mr. Wilson intended to choose a date for the lavish wedding, but not long after they were married, Mr. Wilson suffered a serious illness and had to be taken to the Hospital. Therefore, the wedding was postponed.
Not long after that, Mr. Wilson passed away. Charlie was really not considered by the Wilson family, so their wedding plans were cancelled.
But now it's different. He was wealthy, so he was able and had to give his wife a wedding party!
The first place that came to his head when he thought of the wedding party was the Sky Garden at the Shangri-La hotel.
Shangri-La Hotel is currently the best hotel in Aurous Hill. The hotel has a very large area equipped with very luxurious decorations and also has a high-end shopping center in it.
Sky Garden is also located inside the mall on the top floor. The name comes from its unique design. The exterior is built with crystal glass equipped with fragrant flowers from abroad. The building looked like a magnificent garden hanging in the sky.
It is also the largest and most luxurious banquet hall on offer on Aurous Hill. It takes a few million dollars to have a wedding there.
Since Charlie was now rich, a few million dollars was a trivial thing to him. The most important thing for him is that he can make his wife happy.
He stands at the entrance of the Shangri-La hotel, intending to make a reservation for his wedding anniversary.
However, Charlie is unaware that this hotel is for exclusive members only.
One must be a member to be able to eat, stay, or hold events there.
In addition, there are different levels of membership with different special service packages as well.
Ordinary members can only eat in the lobby area and stay in standard rooms.
Silver members can eat in private rooms and stay in luxurious rooms.
Gold members can dine in the lavish dining room and stay in the Deluxe Suites room.
Platinum members can dine at Sky Garden and stay in Executive Suites rooms.
The highest member of all is Diamond.
Only diamond members can stay at the Presidential Suites, and only they can rent the entire Sky Garden for the event.
In fact, it is not easy to register to be a gold member and above. It can only be obtained if invited and only given to important people with high social status.
Before Charlie could get into the hotel lobby, he was confronted by several men in black suits.
“Excuse me, Sir, please show member card.”
The clothes that Charlie was wearing today were mediocre and looked cheap. A stark contrast to the other guests who were dressed so luxuriously.
Charlie immediately said, “Hai, I want to talk to the hotel Manager related to booking places.”
A man talking flat, “Pardon me, you can't log in without a member card!”
“Can I make that member card now?”
Charlie frowned confusedly. Why is the Shangri-La hotel so difficult?
Amidst his confusion, he suddenly recalled that when Mr. Wilson enrolled himself and his wife to Aurous University, they had a college friend named Sabrina Lee who worked at this hotel!
So, he quickly picked up his phone and called Sabrina.
After explaining about the registration, Sabrina said, “Don't worry, I understand! I'll be there now!”
Charlie immediately thanked Sabrina.
Apparently, even though they were only a year into college, their friendship still persisted. Later, he would definitely return the favor to Sabrina.
Moments later, the high voice of a woman suddenly resounded in the entrance of the hotel.
“Hei, Class Chair!”
Charlie turned his head and saw a formally dressed woman with thick and strange makeup coming from inside the hotel.
Is that Sabrina? He had changed a lot almost he did not recognize him!
As the voluptuous woman approached them, the two black-tuned guards immediately bowed and saluted respectfully, “Nona Lee.”
Charlie was surprised, “Wow, Sabrina, it has been a long time since we met and now you are the Manager at Shangri-La. Amazing!”
Sabrina replied with a smile, “Chairwoman of Class, you are very polite. Actually, I'm just a small leader in the HR Department, it's just a managerial level at Shangri-La.”
Charlie praised in earnest, “Stay it was amazing. I heard the requirements to be a part of Shangri-La's management are very high, you are amazing!”
Sabrina laughed cheerfully, then she turned to the guard and said coldly, “Are you the one who blocked my friend at the entrance, not allowing him to enter?”
The guards exchanged looks anxiously. One of them said, “Pardon me, Miss Lee, I didn't know that she was your college friend. In addition, he does not have a member card, we just follow the hotel procedure...”.
Sabrina grunting. “Procedure is rigid, but humans are not. Don't you understand?”
Charlie thought that Sabrina would punish them, then he immediately said, “Sabrina, don't blame them, they just did their job.”
Sabrina glanced at Charlie. Suddenly she laughed out loud, and at the same time, her expression changed and she teased Charlie, “Oh, dear Class Chief, you think you are an important person, huh? Do you think, I will punish my subordinates because of you?”
Charlie frowned in shock. “What do you mean?”
“What do I mean?” Sabrina said with a contemptuous grin, “Is my speech less clear? You think a loser like you can break into the Shangri-La hotel? Let me tell you something, never dream!”
Charlie clenched a fist and asked “What do you mean?”
“I'm mocking you!” Sabrina grinned like a Chashire cat and said, “I have hated you since we were in college. How could a loser like you who knew nothing but study and couldn't afford to buy food in the cafeteria be the Class Chair? Who are you, to comment on my research and the results? Hmh! Aren't you glazed?”
With a cold expression, Charlie said, “Sabrina Lee, I never feel that I have offended or insulted you, but why do you mock me constantly?”
