Because Charlie had decided to attend the class reunion. Claire reminded him, “We have to bring gifts for the opening of the Douglas restaurant. We can't come empty-handed.”
Charlie nodded. “Alright, let me go buy him a gift tomorrow morning.”
“Good.” Said Claire, “I tomorrow morning also have to go to the company Emgrand.”
Loreen said in a surprised tone, “Really? Then, stop by my room if your business is done. I can go with you guys by car to Douglas restaurant tomorrow afternoon.”
Claire smiled, “You should throw away your hopes this time! I don't have a car, I usually take a taxi or bus, and sometimes Charlie drives me on his scooter.”

Charlie feels he has to give his wife a car. Claire will be at ease and her reputation of resourcefulness gets better when she travels for business meetings.
After thinking, Charlie decided to pay a visit to the 4S store the next day.
