"Surprising news came from the Anggara family, one of the capital's great businessmen. Abbysca, who recently ran a local restaurant, had to deal with the police because one of his customers suffered fatal poisoning after eating dishes at the place. It is not yet known what the exact cause is and the truth of the following events, but Abbysca himself had just arrived at the central police station to fulfill a request as a witness following his employees who had already arrived there. For more information, please stay up to date with our latest news."
"Miss Abbysca, how do you respond to what happened? Is there any chance this is intentional?"
"Miss, is it true that you weren't on the scene when the riots happened or was it just a defense to create an alibi?"
"Miss, some say that this is intentional by an individual because they want to destroy your business. Please give your response, Miss!"
"Miss!"
"Miss, Miss Abbysca?"
"Miss, please look this way!"
Abby still put on a calm face as she passed through the crowd of reporters who were so fiercely storming her. Instead of wanting to get information, they look more like gossip hunters who always swallow every issue circulating by throwing deadly sentences. Fortunately, Erik and a few burly people were so loyal to guide Abby every step and protect her from unwanted things.
Upon arriving inside, Abby was greeted with the faces of her employees who looked clouded, confused and also lethargic like they did not know what to do. From the restaurant keeper, the waiters, the kitchen assistant to the head chef, everything was there. Like waiting for his arrival. And sure enough, they were seen sighing in relief when they saw Abby's presence.
"Good afternoon, sir." Abby greeted the officers and greeted them one by one.
A tall, stern-faced man approached Abby first, "good afternoon, Miss Abbysca. Thank you for your presence for meeting your invitation quickly."
"It was already my obligation because something big had happened under my responsibility. I'm willing to cooperate, sir." There is no point in self-defense when everything is still gray like this, which will even cause greater suspicion. So, while finding out for yourself secretly what really happened, working with the police is the most correct way.
The police chief's eyes look more friendly than ever hearing Abby's tolerance. Quite happy because the other party wasn't trying to make the situation worse.
"All of your employees are informed. According to them, there should be one more person who should be asked for information, but no one knows of his current whereabouts." The person explained the situation while leading the way for the others, "let's talk inside, Miss."
Abby glanced at her employees and gave a small smile. Seeing that the highlights were so nervous but revealing the clean air around her made the girl realize that they had the least chance of doing all this.
"You want tea, Miss?" arman asked as the two sat facing each other with a table that became a barrier. Knowing the other party was someone from a powerful noble family, Arman did not dare to show his rude and arbitrary attitude. After all, this young girl in front of him was so calm and like easy to discuss.
Abby shook her head and gave a smile, "no need sir, thank you." Quietly glanced around and realized that this room was indeed creepy enough for a discussion session with someone who was still a witness. But he is also increasingly aware that this is indeed commonly done so that the interrogated party gets a little 'pressure'.
"Fine then let's start." Arman opened the file that was already available in front of him, "according to reports, you were not at the location at the time of the incident."
Abby nodded, "yes, I'm in town A."
"I met my elderly relative with my bodyguard, his name was Erik. The person is outside, so maybe you can ask him directly if you want to be sure." The girl paused slightly as she frowned before continuing, "the last time I went there was two days before, even then because I wanted to inaugurate a new menu that would soon be released in our restaurant. There's so many surveillance cameras in there, you can confirm it yourself."
There was no doubt in the slightest from Abby's words, even with her facial expression remaining calm without nervousness or fear. The hallmark of someone who is honest and does not hide anything. Arman himself felt that way from the first time they met earlier.
Arman nodded then looked back at the file, "then, as I said earlier. There was one employee who was not present when we checked the location. Can you tell us who that person is?"
"I don't really know my employees. But when I saw them earlier, the one who should not be present was Janu, an employee who had been my confidant for several weeks. I don't know what happened to him, or what reason he wasn't there. But if this has anything to do with the incident, then I will not cover it up. I have all the important information from every employee who works for me. So, you can check it out one by one later."
What is Abby afraid of? all the evidence of truth is in his hands. So, there was no gap for the others to complicate it further. After all, this incident was quite easy to read. As Danu said before, there are people who target it to complete their plans.
Arman once again nodded and did not immediately say anything other than matching Abby's explanation with the captions from the previous people. Feeling that the other party had covered nothing, the mid-forty man looked back at the girl in front of him.
"The information you provide means a lot to our work. For that, I hope that you do not mind if in the future we ask for your help so that this problem soon finds a bright spot." In the end, that was all that Arman could say right now. He needs to find out more and ascertain for himself the truth of Abby's words.
"No problem, I'm willing to work together."
Because there's nothing else to do, though, so Arman allowed Abby and her employees to go home but had to be willing to be watched closely enough for some indefinite time given their status as witnesses. Then, Abby's restaurant must be closed first until the case finds a way out.
For Abby, it might not be a big deal. But for those who depend their lives on this job will certainly find it difficult to meet daily needs because there will be no income. So wisely, Abby compensates them for their monthly salary which is very well received by these people.
Before going home, Abby gives a few proverbs and reminds her not to do the unnecessary and makes the case even more complicated. After making sure the others understood, the girl finally returned with Erik.
There was an incident that almost threw lives in his place, no matter what consequences he had to bear later.
