That morning, Abby, who was lazing around because she did not have morning classes, was forced to get up by Juna in an inhumane way. The man pulled the back collar of Abby's clothes, as if he were gnawing at a kitten.
And here he is now, sitting sweetly beside Juna who this morning took over the wheel. His facial expression was so lazy that he knew that his brother would take him to the place he least wanted to visit.
"I don't understand. Why should I be involved in both of you?" abby asked to break the silence in the car that only heard the roar of the smooth engine since.
"Because he asked." Juna answered lightly. The tip of his long fingers tapped slowly on the steering surface he held, like he was thinking of something. "Maybe there's something important he wants to talk about."
Abby snorted, "huh, since when did she put me in 'important things' for her?" the woman said sarcasm. Angry at what happened in the past as Gara gives a stern warning about Abby's position in the man's life.
Juna glanced at his sister for a moment before looking back towards the front, "you look angry."
"Of course, why can't I be angry at the person who has hurt me so many times?" the pretty face looks more and more cynical with increasingly spicy speech.
"Wow, I didn't expect to see you at this stage." Juna thinks, Abby's words and actions lately are just a joke just to get Gara's attention. But if you see and hear it now, it seems that Abby has indeed begun to get tired of Gara's rejection and slowly raises hatred in the heart for the man.
Abby only returned snorting and had no interest in answering. Knowing that soon he would meet his former fiancee with a spicy mouth, Abby felt her chest rumble in anger. It would be more fun if later he could give a single blow to the face of his face.
They arrived at the main door of the Aditama company. Two men dressed in black who Abby had guessed as security approached their car and opened the door for both. Abby stood rigidly staring at the magnificent building she had not visited for a long time with a meaningless flat face, while Juna was giving her car keys to one of the two men.
"What's wrong with you? comein!" Juna admonished his sister who was still not moving.
The man who today wears formal clothes stepped first but somewhat slowed down his feet, knowing that Abby was walking lazily behind him.
Abby's face did not change despite knowing that everyone in the main lobby was watching them. I don't know what people think when they see the fiancee coming from their long-invisible boss. Not to mention Abby's appearance is quite different than usual. There was only a simple dress with a knee length that was light brown. Even so, an aura of beauty mixed with calmness was seen radiating. A little foreign, but it fits.
Juna was just about to approach the reception desk when Mahen came from behind the elevator door with a faint smile on his lips. "Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. Come with me! Mr. Gara's been waiting."
The two followed Mahen's steps without asking much. Unlike Abby who is completely silent, Juna is seen occasionally talking to Mahen in the middle of their short journey. Secretary Gara stared at Abby from the elevator wall silently, trying to find a difference that people have been talking about lately.
"I'm happy that your health has recovered, Miss." Mahen said sincerely in the midst of silence.
"Thank you. Brother Mahen still looks the same as the last time I saw." Even though it was just a small talk, what Abby said was true.
The man only grimaced a little while maintaining his smile when he heard Abby's words. He did not know to be happy or not with the lazy response of his boss' fiancee.
Before long, the three reached the eighteenth floor. The place where there is only Gara and his two secretaries who become residents.
Mahen opened the only double door there, "please enter!" then let two special guests come inside.
"Oh, is it here?"
Sitting on a sofa with a tablet in hand was the first sight the two men saw. When Juna unhesitatingly approached the host, Abby herself was still silent near the closed door. His eyes stared blankly with both hands clenched together at the sides of the body. The woman did not seem to want to come closer.
"Abby, why are you still there? come sit!" Juna patted the empty part of the sofa on his right. While Gara just silently looked at Abby with a complicated view, without saying anything. Given the last meeting of those who impressed 'bad' at that time, made Gara did not know how to behave.
Realizing from his daydream, Abby approached and immediately sat beside Juna without even glancing at Gara. She even slightly tightened her body to her brother's side, like wanting to make herself invisible there. Juna who saw it could only frown in wonder but not say anything.
"I hope you have something important for asking me to come in when I should be in my office right now." Juna looked at Gara who still had not taken his eyes off Abby. The corner of the man's lips twitched slightly, resisting the ridiculing smile suddenly present on his face.
Because she sighed softly and started staring at the interlocutor, "two more weeks is my family's corporate birthday celebration."
Juna nodded, "yes, then?"
"Mom wants you to participate in the preparation later." Because still talking half-and-half makes Juna give a demanding expression, telling his friend to immediately convey his point.
With an uncomfortable look on her face, she continued, "as a prospective family, my mother asked you to take over some of my responsibilities in preparing for the event."
Juna glared not understanding, "why should that be?" of the many questions that roamed Juan's brain, it turned out that only the sentence came out of his mouth.
"Yes, maybe because this year's event will be celebrated massively. Bigger than yesterday. So, Mom.." I look a little reluctant to continue.
The sound of the ruckus was heard when Gara was confused to choose the right word to say. Juna and Gara turned to Abby who was still laughing with a look forward.
Abby turned to Juna before continuing, "Sister, is Big Brother going to marry one of Aditama's girls?" asking with an innocent face made the two men there know that Abby was playing a show.
"Abby!" tegur Juna slowly. He did not expect that his sister would behave like this so blatantly.
Abby snorted violently before getting up from there. The woman walked over, approaching the work desk of the handsome looking Gara. Just like the owner, maybe that's what Abby would say first. Now, however, Abby obviously wanted to vomit just by thinking about it.
"How come.."
Because the one who had been silent had not turned his head at all when he was called. Just looking ahead with a look of caution with his back to Abby. He felt that something unpleasant was going to happen.
"You should immediately tell your extended family about our relationship." His finger rubbed a photo with a simple figura stored on Gara's desk. It was a photo of their engagement. And of course it was Abby who forced Gara to keep it and threatened the man not to throw it away. Maybe because you don't want to bother, because you just let it go. The man looked unconcerned, as evidenced by the position of the photo stored at the end of the table on the left and covered by a calendar. It will make it hard for people to see it.
"As you say, this stupid engagement is of no use. After all, nothing can be maintained from this kind of bond." Abby grieves when she feels her eyes are heating up. The shadow of her who every day came to Gara's office just to make sure the man had a good lunch swirled in his memory. Although it was not entirely her, but the pain was completely real.
You idiot!
Stupid abby!
"Don't act like everything's okay after what you did to me!" Abby is currently trying hard to keep her tears from coming down. But the emotion of anger took hold of his heart.
Prangs!
Juna and Gara both stood up when they heard the sound of broken glass.
"Abby!" Juna almost glared and directly approached his sister. While Gara only fell silent stiff, but his eyes could not be separated from Abby who looked angry and fragile at the same time.
Abby herself did not overreact. He just stared at the figura under his feet that he had accidentally broken just now. Slowly, he crouched down and took the photo sheet that was there and tore it roughly expressionless meaninglessly. Then throw it on the floor just like that, making the paper tear scattered on the glass shards.
"I don't know why you're still keeping it when you're already in the stage of hating me half to death." The woman stood back up and wiped the tears on her cheeks rather roughly.
These fucking tears!
Slowly, Abby turned her back and looked at Gara with a flat expression. It was the kind of expression that Gara often showed when looking at her.
"Tell the truth to Aunt Melly or I'll tell her myself. You just choose, Gara." After saying that, Abby left without saying goodbye from there. Passing Juna who seemed to have not been aware of his shock, also Gara who was only silent with a stiff face. Staring at Abby's departure with a sense of uncertainty.
Damn, he doesn't like this kind of feeling. A throbbing chest upon seeing that flat gaze, a guilty heart upon seeing those tears. Because I don't like all of that. Why would he get it again now that his heart had been dead for so many years?
On the other hand, Abby, who had walked out of the room, stopped in front of Mahen's desk. The woman took off a ring of white gemstones that for the past five years had been coiled around her ring finger and kept it on Mahen's desk.
"Give it to Gara! if you don't dare, then throw it away! or not, you can sell it. It's worth it." Abby said lightly and stepped back.
Mahen who was standing just silently looked at the thing that Abby had just left.
What say?
