This morning, there was nothing Abby could talk to in the classroom when the lecturer had not yet arrived. He did leave early because there were some things he wanted to ask the Eagle. But who would have thought that the man was absent today.
Abby looked bored towards the front. Seeing some students who are so busy chatting with their close friends. The women look crowded because they are talking about a handsome actor who has just released the latest film, and of course Abby does not understand. While the men only clustered partially and the rest choose to be busy with their respective phones. Well, at least it's not just him enjoying his time alone.
Actually, Abby knew enough that they were stealing glances at her. Maybe because he wants to talk to her as a classmate, or maybe just want to invite acquaintances because she is often talked about by the media lately. But whatever it is, Abby is happy because they choose not to come closer and still give distance. Instead of being arrogant, Abby just needs privacy.
The noise in the class was immediately silent when the lecturer entered with an assistant behind him. Apparently, here is the same as the world before. A teacher still needs the power of others to facilitate his duties. But, from what Abby heard from Elang, your final grade will be quite satisfactory if you can become a teaching assistant. Should he be like that too?
As discussed last week, this time the lecturer will share the results of student evaluations from the Middle Semester Exam program. That's the thing that made Abby study desperately the last few weeks. Although he felt optimistic because he had studied hard, but the pessimism came closer. It's been a long time since she felt this adrenaline rush. It feels pretty fun.
One by one students are called forward by the lecturer. And he could see that the men would return to their benches with various expressions on their faces. Some look happy, disappointed, even most of them look mediocre as if what is being shared is nothing.
"Abbysca Anggara."
Abby immediately got up and walked past the other student chairs because she was sitting in the very back area. Although his name starts with the letter A, he is called last. For this one, Abby doesn't understand the system. Maybe the teacher just calls randomly.
"Your grades are getting better. Please keep improving." Abby took her exam paper politely and gave the lecturer a small smile, "thank you."
Abby went back to her back and looked at her A-rated exam paper. A sincere smile rose on his lips, pleased that his efforts had been successful all along. So focused on staring at the paper, Abby forgot the road she was walking. The woman almost fell down if only no one held her elbow.
"Be careful!" Abby looked at the thin-faced man with a piercing in her left ear. Very good, he almost embarrassed himself.
"Sorry, thank you." He continued his steps carefully. That pretty face looked complicated when it reached her seat. Think back to the man who just helped her.
The look in his eyes, Abby felt familiar. But where has he ever seen her? Abby thought long enough.
But in the next second, the woman snorted, trying not to care.
"Abbysca!"
Two women approached him with shy faces. Abby glanced forward and slowly understood. The lecturers had already left the classroom, so they dared to get out of the chair.
"Yes? can I help you?" Abby tried to look friendly. This was the first time that a classmate would talk to her other than the Eagle and the man who helped her.
"Well, you are so beautiful. Like what I saw on television." The shoulder-haired woman stared fixedly at Abby's face with sparkling eyes.
Abby didn't know what to do when someone praised her performance, "thank you." Yeah, besides saying that.
"really. Actually, we've been wanting to talk to you long enough. But the Eagle is always by your side." The other woman spoke up. His horse's tail hair swayed as he spoke, it looked cute.
Then, why was it that there was an Eagle next to him? does that guy look that scary? abby kept quiet and looked at the two. Letting them say their purpose rather than asking about the Eagle.
"I also saw you visiting one of the expensive shops in the shopping center yesterday. You are so charming even if you only wear plain shirts." Continue the first woman without turning her gaze away.
"If I like your long hair the most. It looks smooth and flutters pretty when blown by the wind." The other female timpal.
Huh huh? yesterday's?
Where do they know?
Seeing the confused Abby, the second woman opened her phone and showed a photo of Abby taken up close while talking to a well-dressed man. That was true of him.
When viewed from such a close distance, it seemed that the person who photographed her was one of the female employees in the store. Abby also read the caption written there.
"Abbysca Anggara visited our Pr*da Store, it is an honor. Abbysca was so friendly and generous, she didn't bother us at all when it came to picking items. You look beautiful Miss, please let me share your photo so that everyone knows that your beauty is like a Goddess." ^_^
That's so ridiculous. Strangely, though, his picture is liked by many. The comment column was filled with positive responses that mostly praised her natural beauty.
These..Abbysca doesn't know whether to be happy or not.
"Emm..Can we take a photo with you?"
"We want to show people that our classmate is an Abbysca Anggara."
They exclaimed with spirit. Although he was upset because he would be used as a show, but Abby could not refuse.
"But, just once?" he will be kind this time.
The two women approached Abby who was still sitting in her chair. One to Abby's right, and the other to Abby's left.
"Let's look at the camera! 1,2,3!"
Abby is not ready yet, but she tries to smile even though she believes the results will be strange.
. . .
Because her stomach was struggling to fill up, Abby chose to go to the cafeteria instead of going straight home after her class finished today. And as usual, he would have sat alone if there were no Eagles with him.
The corner of his eye glanced at his mobile phone that was shaking on the table, the name Eagle filled the screen there. His hand spontaneously put the tablespoon back, then raised the call.
"Yes, Eagle?"
"Abby, I miss you so much." The distinctive voice of the Eagle immediately greeted Abby's ears, not forgetting the naughtiness of the Eagle at the end of his speech. The man even teased her.
"Don't brag! what's calling me?" Abby's too lazy to defend Eagle's bullshit.
The Eagle's naughtiness turned into a loud laughter sound, the man sounding happy could make Abby upset.
"Why don't you ask me where I'm going?"
Abby paused for a moment, "do you have to?" the question was plain, but the Eagle even thought Abby was talking sarcasm to him.
"You are cruel." The eagle paused for a while before continuing, "i'm on a mission to find someone." Clearly without being asked.
"You can do it on holiday." Abby's saying makes sense. Why did his friend choose the wrong day? they still have a day off this week.
The eagle sighed, "I did it today because my mother was going out of town. If he knew I was looking for that guy, he'd be pretty upset." Obviously the Eagle is so serious.
Apparently, there was a slight disagreement between the Eagle and his mother about the man he was looking for. But Abby won't ask why. He was even curious about the person the Eagle was looking for.
"Who are you looking for?"
"Grandfather. I'm looking for my grandfather, Abby." The voice of the Eagle was so lethargic, "i miss him so much. I haven't seen him for ten years. But every time I ask mom, where is Grandpa's address, mom always dodges."
Abby blinked her eyes a few times, "so, how do you look for her? does your grandfather live in this town?"
"Yes, I used to visit him when Grandma died. But my memory was still small back then, so I can't remember the place well."
"So, you're looking for it just by name?" maybe it will take a while, but it will not be in vain at all. Abby did that in her old life.
"Yes, that's all I can count on. But I really hope there's a miracle." That glimmer of hope even Abby can hear. So sincere.
"If you may know, what is your grandfather's name? maybe my brother can help." There was nothing Juna could not do with his money and power.
"Huh? you don't have to do it, Abby. I don't want to bother you." The eagle must be shaken.
"Just tell me his name, Eagle!"
"Lake. Danu Suwardi."
