"So that's you?"
"I didn't remember at first for not paying too much attention to your face."
"You were the one who collided with me at the airport back then. We also fell down."
"Looking at the circular object on your wrist that's quite familiar, I'm sure that our items are indeed changed."
"But I don't understand. Instead of returning the item to its owner who was clearly me, you instead wore it and assumed it was yours."
Along the way to their office, Andita did not stop thinking about Juna's words earlier. The man's face looked annoyed and displeased. Then his words were quite painful, as if he was a suspect here.
He stared at the beautiful bracelet with a simple engraving coiled around his left wrist. Even a fool will know that the bracelet he wears is the latest output from one of the famous brands. The price is fantastic too. But it's not his.
Andita never thought that her meeting with a handsome man at an airport would be the start for her next meetings. Who knew that the man would be his superior in the future? Andita whose intention is to wander to the capital because she just got a college degree with satisfactory value, such as getting lucky because she was accepted in a famous big company.
But the thing that makes him happier is, he can be reunited with the man who managed to make him beat. Andita has really fallen for Juna since the first time they met.
And this bracelet belongs to the man. Andita never intended to make the bracelet hers. But when he saw that there was an initial letter 'A' engraved on the bracelet, Andita felt that it was destined for him. His brain denied it because it was clear the bracelet was not his, but he was reluctant to give it to Juna even though the man was nearby.
And today, he got a direct hit from his person. Juna did not look angry, only that the man was staring at Andita quite low. Juna also did not ask for his item to be returned, only giving him words that would make Andita aware that the bracelet was valuable enough for her. Andita doesn't like that fact.
Thinking that the bracelet was made specifically for someone who meant something to Juna, Andita could not help but rumble uncomfortably in her heart. Then his mind floated on the figure of a beautiful woman who was sitting limp on the patient's bed earlier, Andita felt increasingly uncomfortable.
Is he a meaningful figure to Juna? the attitude of the woman is so calm and not easily disturbed, but it brings the impression of grace and disdain for anyone who sees it despite being in a condition that is not prime though. Such women are very compatible with Juna's assertive attitude, rarely talk and consider others less valuable.
Andita then looked at herself. What does he have to dare to expect an Arjuna Anggara? face, body, possessions, or behavior. Andita only has a small part of it all.
A sigh of resignation sounded from the slit of his lips. The thing that made Damar glance. But the man did not say anything, just remained silent with the focus on the road they were going through. Both are quite close and rely on each other in work, but they are only strangers if outside it. So, Damar can't get along with Andita without a reason.
Their journey ended, the car they were riding in got off in the company parking lot. Damar remained silent as he watched Andita pick up her bag and prepare to go down. But when he remembered something about Juna's words earlier, Damar thought he should tell the woman beside him about something quite important.
"Anditha!"
The called one stopped his movement which would open the car door. The woman turned to Damar who was looking straight ahead, with a questioning look.
"If you know that something you have right now is not yours, then immediately return it to the real owner." Damar paused his words a little, the man finally turned his eyes and looked at him. "There is nothing more precious to Mr. Juna than the happiness of Miss Abbysca, so don't start something you'll surely regret later!"
. . .
"Mrs called me a moment ago and asked me how you were doing, sir."
Because he keeps struggling with his work. His hands did not stop moving on the sheets of paper that felt tormenting his brain. The smooth forehead also shriveled several times with the slightly hardened jaw. Because being serious can not be disturbed and looks quite scary.
Mahen, who had been standing in front of the oversized table Gara, was only silent stiff when he saw there was no response from his superiors. In fact, Gara himself asked Mahen to report everything that happened to him.
"The lady also said that she'd come home tonight to attend Miss Abbysca's parents' memorial."
This time, Gara's movement stopped. The man seemed quite bothered by the news he heard.
"Mrs has already sent out dozens of packages as Miss Abbysca's birthday gift." Mahen.
"When?" Gara now looked towards his secretary.
"Just right on Miss's birthday, sir."
Attention Gara completely switched to Mahen. His hand had even thrown his expensive pen in any direction because he felt the news he heard was more important than anything.
"Mama sent him right on that day?" Gara asked in a tone full of emphasis. Mahen felt his back cold now.
"Yes, Sir. Is correct. And according to information from Mr. Hari, their residence received the package right on that day." Answer Mahen.
Silent for a moment.
"Is Mama not sane?"
Abby's parents' death day coincides with Abby's birthday. That means, there are two meanings in a day of remembrance. He and Juna had agreed to celebrate Abby's birthday a few days after the death anniversary because they did not want to make Abby sad and depressed.
Although the woman does not seem to care about what happened, Gara knows that Abby secretly blames herself for the departure of her parents. Moreover, considering his relationship with Juna has only improved lately after Abby recovered from the accident. The man, whose sibling is Abby, has also blamed Abby for what happened to their parents, and may still be the same. Who knows.
Closing my eyes while breathing tired. What his mother did could have triggered a split among the newly-created sister. Is his mother's brain missing? why does Gara feel that her mother is getting here more and more without empathy? what should he say to Juna and Abby later as an apology?
"There again?" he asked while continuing his work.
Mahen did not immediately reply, his facial expression showing doubt. What he will say next seems to be the determination of life and death. Mahen could not imagine the anger of Gara later.
"Go away if there's nothing else you want to say." Because I don't want to be disturbed. Moreover, his mind was not so focused on work. He was worried about Abby lying in the hospital. And Gara wants to come home soon to see him.
"The Aladdin Company's side broke off unilateral cooperation today, sir. They're not happy with what you did to their youngest daughter this morning." Cold sweat was already pouring out of Mahen's forehead. He's ready to be fired right now.
But instead of the anger that Mahen got, he instead found Gara laughing happily yet filled with ridicule. It was as if what Mahen said was the funniest joke of the century.
For stopping the laughter and turning his face into a cynic, "then, leave it like that. They're not worth defending."
It doesn't matter if he has to be harmed with billions, it's nothing with the actions Manda has done on his fiancee. The slander he lays and the insults he lays on Abby, so hurt Gara's feelings and ego. In fact, he used to act as Abby's biggest pain contributor. But right now, he would be furious if anyone did something like that to Abby.
