"I hear you, Brother already has a lover? really true?"
Juna who was drinking at that time almost choked. His eyes glared at Abby who was also staring at him, a curious beam of light Juna could see there.
The man cleared his throat for a moment, before returning to calm. "Who told you that?"
"Sister Erik?" answer Abby in a tone that is not like an answer, but a question.
Juna shook his hand as he bribed his delayed food, "do not mind what he said! I haven't thought in that direction."
Abby was even more unconcerned about Juna's current words. For some reason, Erik's words sounded more convincing than the defense of his brother. "Isn't there a woman who's been close to you lately?" continued introgating.
The man wearing casual clothes frowned in surprise, "isn't that you?" the look is made as natural as possible. Abby almost believed that she did not remember what Erik had said to her at the time .
Abby shook her head, "no, but the woman who recently became the secretary of two older sisters. Emm..what's his name? Adila or Anita?" he did not pay much attention when Erik said the name of the woman because Abby was still surprised by the news he got.
"Andita" Juna answered briefly unknowingly. But the next second, the man blinked in shock at his own words. Slowly, Juna raised his gaze and immediately met Abby's face filled with a winning grin.
"Well, brother got caught." Still with a slanted smile on her lips, Abby kept the cutlery and downed her drink. After that, she leaned back on the chair and looked at Juna who seemed unsettled despite the man trying to cover her up.
"Congratulations then." Abby finally said.
"Huh?" Juna thought Abby would be angry, upset, or at least ridicule her. But the woman said something she did not expect at all.
Abby chirped, "why is Brother even surprised? do you think I'll say anything else?" the woman paused her remark, "I'm happy because in the future, Big Brother will not be lonely anymore."
"There you are, I've never felt lonely." Timpal Juna, "after all, he's just my new employee. And coincidentally, this was the first time I had a female employee working directly under me. So, Erik and Damar kept saying nonsense. Don't listen to them!"
"It's okay, lately many superiors are dating their subordinates. So, Brother don't worry! keep going!"
"What's going on?" juna asked with a bit of annoyance. Why is Abby the same as those two guys?
Abby shook her head, "work and personal life should be balanced. Date occasionally when Brother is slow. I'd like to have a sister-in-law soon, which would be nice."
The man exhaled slowly, trying to shake off the irritation in his heart. "You still want to continue?" asked Juna with a grunt tone.
After that, only Abby's amused laughter could be heard filling the spacious dining room. The woman seemed happy because she had managed to tease her brother.
Juna who saw it was not the power to smile, like being happy with the pleasure that Abby had. In fact, it was she who Abby was laughing at. Really ridiculous.
The man's smile slowly faded as his mind started to work again. Perhaps, Juna would indeed think of the thing that Abby suggested. But not now. Not when his brother still did not get certainty. After all, Juna was not one hundred percent sure of Gara even though his friend had often shown his seriousness.
During this lifetime, Juna realized one thing. That is, a speech that you cannot fully believe is the speech of a man who promises loyalty. Because basically, he was in that position. Saying a promise of loyalty with a sweet mouth to someone, but in the end he himself denies it. Indeed not all men are like that, only sixty percent of the people are like that.
Juna just hope, hopefully Gara does not come back to repeat the same stupidity.
. . .
At seven o'clock in the evening, and Gara still looks busy with her smart tablet. But not in the office anymore, this time he was visiting a famous boutique in the capital.
With the office clothes still attached, Gara sits comfortably on a soft sofa with two legs crossed. His style was exactly like a big boss, and unfortunately it was him.
The fingers continued to scroll the screen at a fast enough tempo just to get what he wanted to see. His movements stopped as footsteps approached him.
"Miss Anne's already come up with her collection of evening dresses, sir." It was Mahen who happened to be tonight her profession went from being a secretary to being an assistant. Although she felt her pride was a little smeared because she accompanied her boss to enter a boutique filled with expensive dresses and accessories, Mahen did his job quite well.
"Mr Sagara, these are some pretty dresses that I feel will fit Miss Abbysca." Miss Anne let her employees line up the dress she meant in front of Gara. As a fashion designer who has been trusted by the Anggara family for the past few years, Miss Anne is quite sure that her choice will not be wrong.
Gara kept her tablet and started researching the dress in front of her. Letting the fashionable woman explain one by one her dress design even though not a single sentence entered her brain.
"Don't be too open. Choose a dress with simple cuts and colors that won't hurt your eyes." Said Gara, no matter if his words can stop Miss Anne who is seriously explaining this and that. "And this is not an official event like a big corporate party. Just a wedding anniversary event. I hope you can find the dress I mean." The look on his face did not change at all, remaining flat and implying calmness.
"Are you okay, Miss?" mahen asked, somewhat feeling sorry for this mid-thirty woman beside him.
"O-oh yeah, I'm fine." Miss Anne immediately came to her senses from her shock and returned to comment on the sweet smile. Her net turned to the line of dresses she was carrying, then matched them with a description of Gara that was so detailed. Until at last, a cream-colored dress caught his attention. Her hand carefully carried the dress towards the middle, "what about this one, Mister?"
Seeing that Gara was just silently staring at the dress, Miss Anne was inspired to give a simple explanation. "The color and cut will perfectly match what you mean. Not too open, but not too long either."
In her silence, Gara agreed to what Miss Anne said. The dress has a length above the knee, short-sleeved with colors that seem natural. Imagining Abby wearing it tomorrow, she would definitely look beautiful.
"Please pick out clothes for me too! and match the color with that dress!"
Miss Anne smiled broadly, "i understand, sir."
It was not until two minutes that Miss Anne and her employees disbanded in front of Gara. And Mahen quietly sighed in relief. Feeling happy because Gara is not as stubborn as usual. That's good for his heart health.
"Mahen." Call Gara suddenly.
"Yes, Sir?" the man's body immediately felt stiff. Guessing tonight's not gonna be finished that easily.
"Following Miss Anne! tell her to choose three different dresses with the same description!" Gara's handsome face seemed to think hard, "i'm afraid Abby won't like the color. So let him choose himself."
Mahen felt his throat dry, "yes, sir."
"Oh, Mahen!"
Mahen's steps came to a halt, with the man's kind heart returning to Gara. "Is there anything else, sir?"
"Begging Miss Anne to choose accessories and three pairs of shoes that match the dress she chose!" Gara.
Mahen nodded in understanding, "i understand, sir."
"Oh yes, and send it all out tomorrow morning. Remember, it's gotta be tomorrow morning!" Said Gara back with a tone that does not want to be denied.
The secretary forced her sweet smile, "well sir, I understand."
Gara nodded while expelling Mahen with a flick of his hand.
"Oh yeah, Mahen."
Yeah, God. Is it not finished yet? mahen screams in the heart. With a heart so irritated, Mahen again stopped his steps and approached Gara.
"Yes, Sir?"
Gara looked at him with eyebrows that were clinging to each other, "don't get angry! no woman will come near you." Saying with an innocent face.
Damn, if Gara was not the boss, Mahen would definitely not hesitate to say swear words right now.
