A Glimpse of Light For Raina

A Glimpse of Light For Raina
The Polar Ice Shelf

Satria finished her meal and left the table.

"I'm sorry, I want to go out first." said Satria to all who were still at the table eating.

He stepped his feet out of the mansion, he sat on a bench under a shady tree located in the yard of the house. Satria took out a cigarette and set it on fire and started sipping it.

While in the house of the two middle-aged men had also finished eating and resumed his chat. And Lastri cleans up the food scraps that Renita helped her son with.

"Well, was that man the son of his friend Papah?" asked Renita while washing the leftover dishes earlier.

"No. That's Satria, his nephew Suseno sir." said Lastri.

"Oh .. So his name is Satria." muttered Renita who was still heard by her mother. Lastri also noticed his son's strange behavior since the dinner table saw Satria earlier.

"Why are you smiling to yourself? Don't tell me you like him." guess Lastri to his son.

"Hehehe ..." Renita only laughed awkwardly after her mother guessed what she had in mind.

"Don't expect him to be married" Lastri told his son.

"Huh? Really true? It was fortunate that the woman whom the prince married was handsome." grumbled Renita who felt extinct, knowing that Satria was married.

"Therefore you don't choose too much, if too expect in accordance with your criteria, long be your spinster" said Lastri.

"Ah, Mamah .. his son's time in the doain was like that." muttered Renita who grew increasingly sullen at his mama's speech.

Actually, many men approached Renita, but all he refused because there was nothing suitable for him. Renita was silent for a moment to stop her activities, she was digesting her mother's words.

"Well, because I'm too picky, so I'm having a hard time getting a mate? Should I try to open my heart?" inner Renita.

Renita continued to drift with her thoughts. While outside, Pakde Suseno has booked tickets through an online system for his return with Satria.

"Why don't you come home so soon, why not stay here for a day." said Lastri.

"I'm sorry, it's not that we don't want to. But, there's a lot of work I left there. After all, Satria was sick and his wife was also pregnant. So it can not be left for long" said Mr. Suseno.

"Auntie is sorry, son. For the problems that befall you. May your mother be healed soon. Aunty sends her greetings." said Lastri while gently stroking Satria's shoulder.

"Thank you, Auntie. I'll say aunty's regards to mamah." Satria replied.

"Do you guys not want to shop for souvenirs first for the house people? This is your first time here, you must bring the typical hand of this city." persuaded Mr. Sigit.

"Ehm, there's still five hours left. It seems like it is still enough to search for souvenirs. How's Satria? Are you also interested in finding souvenirs?" ask Suseno to Satria.

"Satria follow what Pakde said." replied Satria.

"All right, then. I will be your driver again." said Mr. Sigit followed by laughter by everyone.

"Can't I drive the car, Om? Poor Om. Just show me the way." said Satria.

"Of course it can be Satria. Om is very grateful if you want to help drive the car." replied Mr. Sigit while giving the car keys to Satria.

"Wait, I'm coming!" renita shouted from inside the house while running small.

Everyone looked at Renita coming.

"Yes, I can show you the recommended places that peddle a lot of souvenirs there." replied Renita sure.

"Father can also show it, without having to accompany it." said Mr. Sigit did not want to lose with his son.

Yes, Renita is the only child so very pampered and so very familiar with her papah.

"Ih, papah that year only in the center of antasari aja. That's old school, Pah. There have been many other stalls that are more current and more interesting souvenirs in the place that Renita will show." Renita replied as she stepped up and began to get into the car.

Lastri just shook her head looking at the debate between the father and the child.

"Do you still want to argue with your son? Come on, get in the car and we start walking." take Mr. Suseno.

And finally they headed to Renita's place of choice. Until they are in a shopping center that specifically sells a variety of souvenirs typical of the island. Neither from food, clothes nor other items.

Pakde Suseno chose to buy a variety of special foods from the area. While Satria is still going around looking for something suitable for Raina.

Satria stopped at one of the stalls selling various kinds of trinkets. The choice fell on a necklace with pendants.

"I want this one" Satria said to the seller as she offered the item she wanted to buy.

"It can be opened and carved into the name" said the seller as he opened the pendant.

"Oh, yeah. I'd like to write down the initials just R and S." Satria replied.

The seller nodded his head and began to carve out Satria's order. Renita approached Satria who was waiting for her order.

"Have you got what you wanted?" ask Renita.

"Ehm, already." answered Satria flatly.

"This is Mas, the necklace." said the seller while handing over the necklace order Satria which had been wrapped neatly in a small transparent box.

Satria took the box containing the necklace and then paid for it. Renita was just speechless looking at the thing Satria was holding.

"Is that a necklace for your wife?" asked Renita who realized from her daydream while aligning her steps with Satria who first left the stall.

Satria just nodded her head without even answering or just looking at Renita. Renita was really upset by him.

"What kind of woman has managed to melt this chunk of polar ice? I swear to God, guys are really bad. Don't let me, I have a husband like him. Pait ... pait .. pait ..." Renita grumbled in her heart.

Not only for Raina, Satria also bought several sets of shirts symbolizing the city logo along with the special food that he will share for his family and also for the Raina family.

After all had gotten what they wanted, Mr. Sigit drove Pakde Suseno and Satria straight to the airport.

"Thank you for the banquet at your home and have been very willing to accompany us around this city" said Mr. Suseno.

"Yes alike. I hope you can visit here again." replied Mr. Sigit while hugging Mr. Suseno warmly as a farewell hug.

Similarly, Satria also thanked Mr. Sigit and Renita who had taken him to the airport. Although with an attitude that is still cool, but still by putting forward good manners. Renita smiled awkwardly as Satria thanked her.
