A Glimpse of Light For Raina

A Glimpse of Light For Raina
Raina's Birthday 1

The ringing alarm woke me up to my long sleep, waking up with a heavy head.

"Maybe it's because most of the cry goes like this." I muttered.

Before long, the sound of the morning prayer rumbled. Walk to the bathroom with a shunt step, immediately purify the body and perform fardu prayers two rakaat.

I close with a prayer of the addition of my age which is stepping on to eighteen years. Thank the Almighty for a life that makes me a strong man in the face of His destiny. And don't forget I slipped a prayer for the late father.

"Sir, Raina's birthday today, we usually eat tumpeng together. Oh, yes sir, God willing, Raina has forgiven mom. I hope you really have changed and can get together with us again. If you were still here, how happy Raina would be to be with such a complete family. Raina misses you."

I opened the window of the room, inhaling the cool morning air through the recesses of the heart and leaving peace there.

Sitting on the edge of the bed enjoying the comfortable silence of the morning, I grabbed a flat object lying on the table. I see a lot of happy birthday notifications on my social media. Speech from all my old school friends and some of my virtual world friends.

Smiling I read it, there are still many people who love me.

Yes, since using this smart phone, Sandra has taught me to get to know social media, even though I am not very active on social media just to say hello to old friends.

Died on social media and smartphones for a moment. Turn to the kitchen to make my brothers breakfast. I step foot into the kitchen.

"Kok deserted, usually Kak Aldo sama Raka has a storm outside, this is really quiet, anyway. Where it's still all dark. They're not awake yet, are they? Ah, there's no way they don't pray at dawn, what?" My mind wanders everywhere.

To answer my curiosity, I decided to open Aldo's room first.

Puggets, grits,

I slowly opened Aldo's room door, I pressed the light switch to turn it on.

"Kok, nothing. Is it possible that Aldo's brother Raka is still in the mosque. But it's already at this hour." I murmured.

I stepped back to my feet towards the living room, still carrying my curiosity.

When the legs were two steps away from entering the living room, the lights suddenly turned on by themselves. I try to approach slowly. How surprised I was to see Kak Aldo and Raka standing by singing happy birthday song to me. And already available medium-sized yellow rice tumpeng complete with side dishes on a small table.

"Thank you." I said as I hugged my two brothers.

"Don't mewek donk, brother. It's Brother's birthday, brother's time is sad, sad, anyway." said Raka who was still standing next to me.

"Not just moved, Dek. Thank you very much for the surprise." I go back to say my thanks.

"Yes, equally" said Kak Aldo and Raka together.

We sat in a circle on a small hambal that had been held. Brother Aldo led the prayer and then the three of us enjoyed the yellow rice cone as breakfast this morning.

"This is Raka's idea, he yesterday who ordered this little tumpeng the same mbok Nah." said Kak Aldo.

Yes, this is indeed the taste of yellow rice that is often sold at the end of the residential gate. She is a mother who is elderly but still the spirit of selling. And the taste of the yellow rice remains delicious and does not change, there is a distinctive taste in its seasoning. Which makes yellow rice a mainstay of the family since my family is still intact.

"Thank you, Raka, for preparing this. But, what, you don't hear the sound of Salim's motorcycle? Did you take her to the mbok house Nah?" ask Raka.

"Hehehe, equally, Brother. It's not much, a gift from Kak Aldo's bigger. Who took Salim with his wife. But they just send him in front of Joko's house. So Raina did not hear the sound of Salim's motorcycle" said Raka.

Kak Salim is the grandson of mbok Nah, he was an orphan raised by mbok Nah until now has a family. He and his wife helped.

"Eits, what did you say, Dek? Did Aldo prepare a bigger gift? Hmmm, brother so curious what is the gift of Kak Aldo?" ask me to Raka while glancing towards Kak Aldo.

"Seat your meal first, and then you tell me what the gift is."

"Ready captain" I said, saluting like a soldier.

Raka closed both my eyes using the cloth she had prepared first.

I walked in the footsteps of Raka and Brother Aldo who led me.

"Raina where are you going, actually? Why put the show on the lid of all his eyes?" ask me curious.

"You don't have to bring it up first, look at it later." said Kak Aldo.

The two of them stopped his steps as well as me who followed him.

"It seems not far from home, it's like on the front page of the house." I thought.

"Third count Raina's sister opened her eyes, yes" Raka said giving instructions.

I just nodded my head.

"1 ... 2 ... 3 ..." Brother Aldo and Raka are counting together.

I slowly opened my blindfold, how surprised I was to see the gift in front of me.

"Sister Aldo ..." I said softly while hugging my beloved sister's body.
