First Day of Work

Today I leave very early, I don't want to be late on the first day of work. Arriving at the restaurant, I saw the door of the restaurant was opened a little. Apparently, there is already Mr. Abdul who is in charge of maintaining this restaurant, he was given confidence by Mother Eva to occupy the house behind the restaurant.

"Asalamualaikum .. good morning, sir," I said.

"Walaikumsalam .. uh, Eneng, the morning came, right .. usually the resto employees whose morning schedule came at eight, Neng" said Mr. Abdul.

"It's okay, sir. It's my first day at work, so I don't want to be late" I replied excitedly.

"Yes, Neng Raina. I am Abdul who guards this restaurant" he said.

I only replied with a smile because I already knew her name from Sandra.

"Here, sir, the broom .. Let me continue to clean it up" I asked.

Mr. Abdul gave me his broom and went back to doing another job. I was also cool with sweeping the floor and wiping every dusty guest table.

Without me noticing, Mas Awan was behind me, surprising me with his deheman who was quite loud.

I jumped up and turned towards the source of the sound.

"Eh, Mas Awan, it's coming" I said.

"good. You call me mother, Rai?" ask Mother Eva who might be surprised because I usually call her mother.

"Hehehe .. working professionals, ma'am, so that other employees don't feel like they're differentiated." I replied.

Mother smiled and nodded at my words while taking something from the closet.

"This is the uniform for you, Rai. You can replace it before you work. After that, I will invite you to introduce yourself to all the employees who work here. Hopefully you can work in a team well." said Mother Eva while smiling at me.

Immediately I change my clothes with a special uniform of this restaurant, then follow Mother Eva who will introduce me to her employees.

First started on the front, there are two cashiers, there is Gina and Desi. Gina works in the morning shitft while Desi is in the afternoon shift. The waiters' team of five including me this morning. There are Akbar, Reza, Cika and Nara who will be my fellow waiters.

In the kitchen there is Pak Rama as the main chef, Mas Jaki in the snack or dessert section and Mas Riki as an assistant chef.

In the drink section there are Mas Awan and Mas Deni. We all work according to the shifts that have been set, both the time off was set. Thank God, everyone welcomed me well

The first day of work is very tiring, many visitors who come to eat and drink this restaurant. I was overwhelmed to deliver their orders, even though the waiters team was five people, still overwhelmed if the restaurant was crowded with visitors like today.

Our lunch time also took turns, so there is still someone on duty if at any time there are visitors who come. Lunch is prepared by the restaurant, even with a potluck side dish, but still delicious and delicious to eat, because this is assistant chef cuisine. Yes, Mas Riki is in charge of making food for employees.

On the sidelines of lunch break, Mas Awan came to me.

"Can I sit here?" he asked, pointing at the empty place beside me.

Not felt, the shift change time arrived. Yes, the morning shift will be home at three in the afternoon, while those who work in the afternoon shift will be home at eleven in the evening.

I walked out of the resto, crossed a pretty crowded street this afternoon. Waiting for public transport to the terminal. From the resto I had to use twice the public transport. The first is the terminal destination and the second is my home destination.

"Come, Rai, with me to go home" Mas Awan invited him who suddenly stopped in front of me.
