Chapters. 53. Zulaikha's Husband Candidate

Currently, Diana's mother was being examined by their family's personal Doctor. It appears that Defin and Rashid's father are waiting for the results of the examination of the middle-aged woman with worry, while Agnes is sitting on a couch while playing a mobile phone to look through her social media accounts.

"how Doctor, is my wife okay?" asked Rashid's father, he sat down next to his wife holding her hand.

"your wife is fine sir, she is just too tired and also a lot of thought. Try not to add to the burden of his mind anymore," explained the Doctor, then he wrote down a prescription drug that must be taken by Mother Diana.

Rashid and Defin's father breathed a sigh of relief when he heard the results of the examination, then not long before Mother Diana began to wake up and open her eyes.

"would you like a drink?" defin asked softly, he rubbed the sweat that had been approved by the Mother with affection.

Diana's mother shook her head to reject Defin's offer, she then tried to get up with the help of Rashid's father and also his son.

"just rest Mom, you're not well!" father Rashid exclaimed, but his wife shook her head and still wanted to sit down.

Defin handed a glass of water to his mother and helped her to drink, then she put the glass she had held back on the table.

Diana's mother then held Defin's hand as Defin wanted to get out of bed, and she told her son to sit next to her.

"Son, I want to talk to you about something!" mrs Diana, she glanced at Agnes who was sitting on the sofa.

"mom should rest first, we talk later, yes" hold Defin, he does not want if his mother fainted again because of the burden of the mind that he is feeling.

Diana's mother shook her head, "Mom wants to tell you about Zulaikha," Diana's mother said, then made Defin frown. Now he believes that something has happened between his family and Zulaikha.

Agnes who heard the name Zulaikha called directly staring at them, she felt annoyed because her in-laws brought back the woman's problem.

"just watch if he carries my name, I'll put poison in his food!" Agnes sharpened her hearing to hear what they were talking about.

"Zulaikha left because of Mom's request, son. Mother told him to leave this place so that you can no longer see each other,"

"what? wh-what do you mean by mother?" defin asked sharply, he stood up because he felt surprised by what his mother said.

"mom, we'll discuss this later. I need to rest first!" said Rashid's father, he did not want the condition of his wife back down.

Diana's mother remained adamant to say it today as well, she did not want to buy time and caused a quarrel between Defin and Agnes.

Then Diana's mother told Zulaikha everything she had done, including Ammar's confession of her status as the future husband.

Defin was shocked when he heard all his mother's stories, and what shook his soul the most was when his mother said that Zulaikha already had a future husband.

"Mom-I'm not kidding, right?" defin asked in a stammer, clearly a look of shock and disbelief on the man's face.

"Serious mother Nak, Zulaikha already has a future husband. Even her future husband had brought his family to meet Zulaikha.

Defin clenched his hands together when he heard another shocking news coming out of his mouth, "who? who's her future husband?"

Defin's thoughts were on the lawyer who had accompanied Zulaikha while taking care of their divorce, he could see the adoring gaze of the man on his ex-wife.

"why? you're curious about her future husband?" sambar Agnes, his words managed to ignite the fire of anger that was burning Defin's chest.

"hide you! I know it was all you, Agnes!" defin replied sharply, his eyes gleaming with emotion as he looked at his wife.

"why do you blame me, instead of hearing that your mother kicked him out!" said Agnes.

Rashid's father who had been silent since then began to be filled with anger when he heard Agnes' words, the woman was just as easy to blame his wife even though everything that Mother Diana did on the basis of her request.

"keep your mouth" Rashid's father could not continue his words as his hand was gripped firmly by his wife, she then looked at Mother Diana who shook her head as if she did not allow her husband to continue what he was going to say.

"you will always blame me for everything!" exclaimed Agnes as she stepped out of the room, she felt annoyed with those who still thought of Zulaikha even though the woman was already in the other side of the world.

Agnes then took her phone and called Rio, she wanted to have some fun with the man in order to dispel her current sense of unease.

While Defin who saw Agnes' departure was completely burned by the flames of anger, he wanted to destroy all the items in the room if there were no parents.

"Son, why do you keep fighting with your wife? that husband and wife can't go on like that!" said Diana's mother, while Rashid's father only remained silent because he was lazy to talk about Agnes.

"how could we not fight, ma'am? I see for myself how her nature is, I'm sure that she's the mastermind behind Zulaikha's departure!" defin said sharply, his chest rising and falling because of the emotions that completely filled his heart at this moment.

"isn't that woman your choice?" rasyid's father said right into Defin's heart, he fell silent because he could not reply to his words.

"that woman you've been fighting for all this time? even you can make a woman as good as Zulaikha as a second wife!" rasyid's father added back, for the first time he brought up his son's past.

"have it done, let it pass!" Diana's mother looked at her husband with joy, she did not want to add more problems at this time.

"That's how it should be! let the past pass, so now please enjoy your time with your dear wife!" Rashid's father immediately got out of bed and out left his son and wife, he had tried hard to suppress his anger when he saw his brash daughter-in-law dared to speak rudely in front of him.

"you are so stupid Defin, you throw away a beautiful jewel and step just for the sake of a lump of gravel that doesn't even cost at all!" lirih Rashid's father while continuing to move his legs.

While Defin and Diana were silent in the room, they felt pinched when they heard what Rashid's father said.

"who, Mom? who is Zulaikha's future husband?" Defin again asked the mother what the middle-aged woman said earlier, seen Mother Diana sighing harshly when she heard her son's question.

"his name is Muammar Al-Fateeh, Ibu tasa-"

"Muammar Al-Fateeh?" cut Defin, he then looked sharply at the Mother who was replied with a nod of the middle-aged woman's head.

"Mu-Muammar Al-Fateeh? in-in-he's his su-su-husband candidate?"
