Chapters. 47. The Past of Zulaikha

After a long thought Zulaikha decided to leave the place, he contacted Ridwan to inform him of his move.

Ridwan who was surprised by Zulaikha's decision to go to the woman's house with his wife, he wanted to hear firsthand the reason Zulaikha went far from where he lived.

"what's the Deck?" asked Ridwan, after he had previously met Ammar and his mother who was still at Zulaikha's house.

Zulaikha was forced to tell Ridwan the truth at once to ask for his opinion, while Syifa was busy arranging all the items that would be taken away from the house.

Ridwan felt very emotional when he heard all the stories of Zulaikha, he even clenched his hands until his veins protruded around the neck.

"truly people who have no heart, they will never live happily ever after!" Ridwan who was already feeling very angry could no longer control his emotions so he cursed those who always disturbed Zulaikha.

"Mas, it's not good to say that!" reprimanded Aisyah, she tried to calm her husband even though she herself felt indignant over what Mother Diana had done to Zulaikha.

"so, what do you think of Mas?" asked Zulaikha, he was already looking forward to worrying about the decision that Ridwan would take regarding his departure.

"why do you still ask Dek, Mas always supports whatever your decision," replied Ridwan, in fact he does not agree that Zulaikha went from that place because they should not have expelled Zulaikha from his own house.

However, Ridwan also did not want them to always bother and make trouble with Zulaikha. So he handed all the decisions to Zulaikha.

"but, where are you going Dek?" ridwan asked, a worried look clearly visible on the man's face.

"god willing, I will go with them, Mas" said Zulaikha, looking at Ammar and his mother.

Ridwan who already knew about the Ammar family felt a little calm, especially he had known Yusuf who was a close brother of the man's family.

"alright, Mas will take care of all the things about your departure," said Ridwan later, he will immediately take care of all the important things about Syifa school which will certainly move along with Zulaikha.

Then Ridwan turned to look at Ammar who was busy watching Zulaikha, Ridwan smiled faintly because he knew that the man was in love with his sister.

"Ammar, can I speak to you with four eyes?" said Ridwan made everyone look at him.

"of course, Mas!" ammar answered while rising up and following Ridwan's steps to get out of the house, while the others were again busy with their respective activities.

After arriving outside, Ridwan invites Ammar to the nearest cafe while familiarizing himself. They then walk because the location of the cafe is only across the Zulaikha store.

"what do you want Ammar to order?" asked Ridwan, he then mentioned his order to a servant standing before them.

"i'm coffee too!" exclaimed Ammar, then the waiter left and prepared their order.

"Ammar, I want to talk about important things about Zulaikha to you," said Ridwan suddenly, Ammar who had been looking outside the cafe turned his eyes towards Ridwan who was sitting right in front of him.

"please leave it, Mom! I will hear all the stories that Mas tells me," exclaimed Ammar with great enthusiasm, he felt very excited to talk about Zulaikha.

"but before, I wanted to ask you one thing" said Ridwan, forced to stop because of the arrival of the waiter who brought their order, the waiter placed two cups of coffee on the table in front of them.

"thank you, Ma'am!" said Ammar kindly made the cafe waiter blush, he then moved away from their table and returned to his place.

"do you like Zulaikha, Ammar?"

"thank you, Mum!" said Ammar, he then drank coffee to eliminate the unpleasant taste in his throat.

"sorry Mar, you must be surprised by what I said!" lirih Ridwan, he felt very guilty for making the man choke like that.

"no, Mum! I'm just a little surprised" said Ammar, though he still said he was a little surprised at the man.

"eem to be honest, I've really liked Zulaikha since I first met her Mas!" ammar said slowly, he felt nervous as if he was asking permission to propose a girl.

"i know, Ammar. I can see clearly from the look in your eyes when I look at Zulaikha,"

Ammar was embarrassed to hear Ridwan's words, his face even reddened to make Ridwan chuckle amused because he did not think that a man like Ammar could blush like that.

"but you know what Zulaikha is doing right now, maybe he's still traumatized or can't even forget his past with them" Ridwan said, the hatred that grew in his heart for the Defin family is increasingly becoming.

"i'm taking Zulaikha's mother away doesn't mean I'm going to marry her right away, Mas. I just don't want to see Zulaikha's mother suffer, even though my heart is completely in love and eager to marry her" Ammar replied, his words managed to make Ridwan's heart touched.

"Zulaikha is my kindest and meek sister, she always takes care of the feelings of others and always relents to what others do to her. Including accepting Syifa and loving her, even though Syifa was the son of her father's relationship with another woman,"

Ammar was shocked by what he had just heard, Ammar did not believe that Syifa was a sister who was not a mother with Zulaikha.

"during this time, we kept that secret from Syifa. We don't want him to feel uncomfortable knowing the problem" Ridwan said later, sighing harshly as he recalled the past.

"and for Zulaikha, he married at a age that was arguably not young anymore. It was very difficult for him to forget the past that happened between his parents, which caused my aunt to have a heart attack and die," said Ridwan, clearly seeing how sick he was when he found out that his only Aunt had left him.

Ammar was sorry for what he knew today, he did not expect that Zulaikha would experience such a thing.

"Zulaikha was married when she was 28, and not for a year. He had to go through suffering that I might not be able to deal with. The wound he felt once again reoccurred in his household ark," finally Ridwan's defense collapsed as well, he wiped away the tears that had escaped the corner of his eyes.

"know Ammar that he is pretending to be strong and always smiling with everyone. Without anyone else knowing, he was always crying in every breath at night,"

the atmosphere felt very crowded and painful at this time, the two men were really concerned about the fate that befell Zulaikha's life.

"god willing, I will always be happy, my dear! I will remove all the wounds that have scratched the recesses of his heart all this time" said Ammar confidently, whatever he will do to make Zulaikha's life filled with happiness.

"thank you Ammar, thank you" Ridwan said, thanking him for being able to meet a man as good as Ammar. Although he had just known the man, but his little heart felt confident that Ammar was a man who had a good heart and noble character.
