Chapters. 33. Give Rest

Agnes was sitting on the floor holding her stomach which was very painful, Defin who heard the cry of Agnes immediately approached the woman with concern.

"Agnes!" Defin held onto Agnes' body which began to droop limp on the floor, from the base of her thighs flowed a red liquid that managed to make Defin's chest shake uncontrollably.

Irham who heard Defin's screams immediately entered his room, he felt very surprised when he saw the condition of Agnes who was unconscious.

Defin immediately lifted the woman's body to take her to the hospital, while Irham immediately prepared a car for their departure.

All the employees looked at Defin who was holding Agnes, they felt surprised and wondered about the figure of the woman who was being carried by their superiors.

Defin immediately put Agnes in the car, and Irham immediately gas-fired to the hospital.

"sickness," Agnes' groans sounded with cold sweat drenching her face.

Defin rubbed the sweat that Agnes was wearing, he then clasped the woman's hand to give her strength.

"hold on Agnes, hold on," said Defin softly, he stroked Agnes' stomach hesitantly to make the pain she was feeling disappear.

Not long after, their car had reached the hospital yard, Defin immediately took Agnes to the ER to get help. A doctor and several nurses rushed to check on Agnes and her baby.

Defin paced in front of the room waiting for the Doctor's examination, his heart feeling unsettled and regretful for what he had done.

"calm down sir, I'm sure that Agnes and the baby are doing well" Irham said, trying to calm her boss.

Defin then sat next to Irham, he rubbed his face rough because he was still worried about the state of Agnes and also the baby.

Not long after, both of Defin's parents came to the hospital, they got news from Defin's brother who also worked in the company about Agnes' condition, making them worried and decided to come to the hospital.

"Define!" calling Mother Diana made Defin raise his head.

"Mother? what are you doing here?" defin asked, he got up and looked at his parents.

"how's your baby doing?" mother Diana asked, even though she did not like Agnes but the baby contained by the woman was still her grandson.

"i don't know Mom, the doctor is still checking," Defin replied as he sat back down.

Diana's mother and her husband also sat in front of Defin, wanting to see their grandchildren.

After waiting for about 35 minutes, the ER room finally opened. A Doctor came out of the room making them instantly get up and approach towards him.

"how's Doc? are they okay?" defin asked, he looked at the Doctor with concern. Likewise with both Defin parents who hope that their grandchildren are okay.

"alhamdulillah everything is fine sir, your wife and son are in stable condition. But your wife must be treated for a few days, sir, so that the condition of the womb is stronger," explained the doctor, then he ordered them to move Agnes to the treatment room.

"actually what happened, Defin? why did Agnes get to that?" mother Diana asked, she sat down next to her son who was currently in front of Agnes's treatment room.

"forgive Defin Bu, Defin did not intentionally push him," Defin replied softly, he was truly sorry for what he had done.

Defin's parents exhaled a rough breath, Diana's mother then pulled Defin's body and hugged him tightly.

"Son, forget all the memories of your past. Forgive Father and Mother for forcing you and making you suffer like this" Diana said softly, she felt sorry for making her son suffer.

"i'm happy with all your blessings, but I want that blessing for me and Zulaikha, too" Defin has not been able to forget the woman in his life.

Then they went into Agnes' room, saw that the woman had regained consciousness and looked at them.

"Defin," called Agnes quietly, her hand raised to have Defin come closer to her.

Defin walked up to be next to the woman, then Agnes held Defin's hand which was also countered by Defin.

"excuse me Agnes, forgive me," Defin said, staring at Agnes who was also staring at him.

"Defin, I was so scared that something happened with our baby" Agnes said with teary eyes, glancing at Defin's parents who were watching them.

"it's okay, everything's fine" Defin exclaimed, stroking Agnes' hand to give the woman peace of mind.

"Agnes!" call Mother Diana who had been watching them since, she drew closer to the side of the bed to be able to talk more clearly with the woman.

"yes Ma'am," Agnes replied with a slight smile, she did not expect that Defin's parents would come to see him at this time.

"forgive us for refusing and blocking your relationship with Defin, and for setting her up with another woman" said Diana, staring at Agnes, who was also staring at her.

"now we will bless you, live happily and take care of our grandchildren until they grow up" Mother Diana said, holding Agnes' hand jolted the woman a little.

"thank you Mom, thank you Dad" said Agnes, bowing her head in delight.

"Defin, after Agnes was discharged from the hospital. You immediately take care of your marriage, to be officially in the eyes of religion and country," said Rashid's father, before they left the room.

After confirming Agnes' condition, Defin's parents decided to go home. While Defin himself chose to accompany and keep Agnes in the hospital.

"do you want to eat something?" tanya Defin, she was peeling an orange to give to Agnes.

"alright, I'll try to accept all this. I will also try to forget Zulaikha and start my new life with Agnes!" Defin had already made the decision to treat Agnes well, and started a new chapter with the woman because that was exactly what was supposed to happen at the moment.

While Agnes is feeling very happy, she manages to get Defin back to attention for her and love her as he once did. Especially now that she has got the blessing of both Defin's parents, and there is no other woman who is on her husband's side.

"in a moment, I will soon rule over all their wealth!" Agnes felt very happy because her plan was going well.
