Chapters. 11. Thumped

Mom screamed hysterically at the sight of Zulaikha unconscious, as did Dad who panicked to see his daughter-in-law.

"quick call Defin, Dad!" shouted the mother who was currently holding Zulaikha's head.

Father escorted the Doctor out while Defin and Mother were still faithful in the room, they waited for Zulaikha to open both eyes.

Deg, Defin's chest felt tight when he heard what his mother said. He looked towards Zulaikha who was still asleep, then he looked back at the sobbing Mother.

Someday, you'll regret Defin. You'll be so sorry." Mother woke up and immediately left Defin who was currently pecking in his place.

Without them noticing, tears dripped from the corner of Zulaikha's eyes that heard all the words of Mother and her husband. He who was conscious when I wanted to talk to Defin chose not to open his eyes, he wanted to hear what they were saying.

"where are you going?" tanya Defin was currently holding onto the woman's shoulder.

Zulaikha immediately put away the hand perched on his shoulder making Defin a little surprised, with slowly Zulaikha trying to get out of bed.

Zulaikha who was still limp slipped while setting his foot on the floor, but swiftly Defin caught it and made Zulaikha's body land perfectly on top of his body.

"okay Ma'am," Syifa replied across the phone. Zulaikha immediately turned off the call when he said hello.

"why should I be picked up? there will be me" said Defin who was offended by what Aleta did.

"no need, Mom! thank you," Zulaikha refused, she lay down and closed her eyes to let Defin out of the room.

Defin, who knew that Zulaikha would not be bothered to choose to come out, stepped his feet with a giant as if he was carrying his heavy burden on his shoulders.

Zulaikha opened her eyes again when she saw her husband had come out, she exhaled softly while thinking about what had happened.

"O Allah, strengthen my heart in undergoing every trial from YOU" he murmured as he returned to tears.
