You, Me And Our Memories
Feel guilty

Diya took a deep breath and exhaled strongly. He didn't know why this had to happen.

"Had I not been present, this might not have happened" The girl closed her eyes regretting the incident.

Ferdi stopped his bike in Roro where the ferry crossing is quite famous village. After using his motorbike, Ferdi stood on a wall of turap lined up on the beach.

The young man looked agitated. He did not expect that his mother was determined to match him with Kethrine which he obviously hated him very much. Several times the young man breathed a heavy breath.

Diya understood the turmoil of her lover. After a long silence the girl said.

"It's all my fault, brother, why should I be present at Ferdi's party. If I don't come, maybe it's not like this" he said, breaking the silence between them. Ferdi did not answer. The young man looked straight ahead where the sea lay wide in front of him.

Seeing Ferdi not answering, Diya said again.

"Aren't you sorry about what happened?" Diya asked cautiously afraid the young man was offended.

"Repent?" Repeated Ferdi smiled wryly and turned to face Diya who was from earlier behind her.

*Even I'm happy with Diy, for what happened. At least my mother realized that love can not be forced" replied Ferdi steady.

"But Brother Ferdi has made them ashamed by refusing the engagement" Diya replied in disgust.

"Maybe it's Diy's risk" replied Ferdi a little heavy and then turned back to the front looking at the surging sea water in the blowing of the night wind. The atmosphere was silent again, quiet again, only the sound of waves crashing on the beach.

"I'm sorry brother. Because my brother and sister's family are fighting. It's all my fault. Just like me....,"

"I don't blame anyone either you or my parents. Perhaps this is the destiny outlined by the Power. We must be able to accept it" replied Ferdi sighing heavily.

"Mama's part as well, why not tell this plan ahead of time. Maybe the incident is not like this" said Ferdi slowly as he was.

"Ferdi's brother should think before deciding something. Maybe the incident will not happen" said Diya felt guilty. I felt that the shameful incident was caused by him.

"What do you mean?" The young man asked with a question mark. Diya sighed heavily then.

"Sister Ferdi must accept what his mother had planned, brother Ferdi. So that it's not like that"

"What?" Ferdi.

"I have to accept and get engaged to Kethrine. That's what you mean?" Diya nodded slowly and bowed.

"After that brother can wriggle and refuse him" Ferdi smiled faintly at Diya's confession earlier.

"No Diy, whatever the reason and whatever I won't accept if I have to get engaged to Kethrine. Even if it's just a play" said Ferdi.

"Ah...It's Diy, we don't have to talk about it anymore. Stuh....Everything has happened. We have to think about us, about our future"

"But brother, I feel very guilty about this" Ferdi came to approach the girl.

"Nothing to regret anymore. What matters now is how we have to deal with all these trials and conjectures in our romance" Ferdi replied reassuring her lover.
