Ustadz Ridwan's Dream

Ustadz Ridwan's Dream
194. It's Brother's Obligation

"Eat Wan..."

Mother said as she looked up from the curtain on the door of Ridwan's room.

Apparently, Ridwan was busy in front of his study desk to read some messages via email that just arrived.

Among them is the first financial report from the treasurer of the Foundation, related to the needs of finishing the last development.

The plan, Ridwan will ask Iis to make it in the form of a neater report later, so that Ridwan can immediately convey to the children of the late Mr. Sahudi.

"Mom, for a second, tek send an email to Iis first."

Said Ridwan, Mother nodded, too,

"Well, then eat together,"

Said Mother,

Ridwan smiled at his mother and then nodded,

Mother then turned to walk towards the dining room where there was already Ajeng who was peeling oranges.

Ajeng had taught up to fifty verses of Surah Al Kahfi, and tomorrow he will continue with Mbah because his Uncle is not every day at home in the time of Maghrib to Isya.

Maak Wening was then also seen out of the room, he just finished praying after first bathing with warm water, he looked moved to the kitchen, to boil the water replace the hot water in the tremos that he used before for bathing.

Until the kitchen, Madam Wening then looked surprised, because she saw the water kettles had been superimposed on the burning stove.

"Eating all Ning, an empty stomach is easy to catch a cold."

Said Mother who appeared from the kitchen entrance, Madam Wening was a bit surprised because Mother was suddenly there.

"Mother boiled water? Sorry nggih Bu, Wening was in a hurry to catch up on prayer time first."

Said Mbak Wening,

Mom smiled as she walked towards the plate shelf picking up some empty dishes,

"Just remember, Mom, Wening will take it, this is Wening and wait for the water to boil, it looks like it's soon."

Said Mbak Wening anyway,

"Wis okay, this is the plate Mother just brought, that you later make your sister fresh tea,"

Mother also ordered, too,

"Mother wasn't made either?"

Ask Ma'am Wening, please,

"No need, this afternoon Mother had a sweet tea with Iis, let Ridwan alone made tea, she likes to eat less greedy when eating but drinking water water water white."

Said Mother,

Wening nodded, too,

She then walked with her empty plates to the inner room again, where she would take them to the dining room,

Coincidentally Ridwan also just came out of the room, Ridwan was about to go to the dining table where Ajeng was now eating oranges, but he remembered having to talk to Mbak Wening first.

Ridwan seemed to wander for a while looking for Ma'am Wening, when then he saw his mother emerge from the kitchen carrying an empty plate, Ridwan asked, asking,

"Mbak Wening in Mom's kitchen?"

Ask Ridwan.

Mom nodded her head, though,

"Let's go, in the kitchen it's boiling water to brew tea."

Said Mother.

Ridwan nodded, then walked towards the kitchen room, Ajeng had followed Ridwan with his eyes,

But because then he saw his Mbah carrying an empty plate, Ajeng also preferred to jump from his seat to help his Mbah bring empty plates for him and others to eat dinner.

While turning off the stove and grabbing the tremos to be filled with hot water, Madam Wening continued to hum without realizing Ridwan's presence there.

"Mr..."

Call Ridwan when he is finally in the kitchen and approaches Mbak Wening,

Seeing Ridwan suddenly appear, Mbak Wening was again surprised, and his face immediately looked timid.

There is a concern on the look on his face, seeing Ridwan who put a firm face it will clearly say something that Mbak Wening did not feel ready to hear, he said,

But...

Ah, of course, it is clear that Ridwan will discuss this. Discussing how he came home from the house of Bu Lurah with a man.

Wening's mom went in first.

"Mother, I'd like to talk to you for a minute."

Ridwan.

Ma'am Wening then appeared to stand facing Ridwan,

"Why Wan?"

Ask Mbak Wening to pretend to be calm, not want to look panicked, she said,

Ridwan sighed, then then spoke again,

"Sir, I would like to speak as the younger brother in charge of your safety, as well as your honor. You know, don't you, if whatever's on you, it's just like Mom, it's my duty to look after her?"

Ridwan looked at Mbak Wening, who then nodded,

"I, will not forbid you if you want to get married again later, want to start a new life with other men after Mbak long lived alone. I understand very well that your needs are certainly not just about the things I can help fulfill, but..."

Ridwan paused for a moment his sentence, he stared more sharply at his brother,

"But, I beg of you, for your honor as a woman who has been married and now has children too, keep your behavior Ma'am, do not be close to a man who is not a mahrom like before."

Ridwan.

"But we didn't do anything Wan, Mas Amin just picked up at Bu Lurah's house, then we went straight home without stopping by anywhere first, he came home too late, he said, it's because Mas Amin went to take his son home first to his ex-wife's parents' house."

Said Mrs Wening,

"Yes that have happened already, Ma'am, not that I do not believe, not that I was bad to think, but I as a brother who loves you very much, certainly want your honor awake."

Ridwan.

"Yes Wan, I thank you."

"If Mas Amin is serious, ask him to sit down to see me and Mom to talk to you about his intentions. After all, you are also not a child of Junior High School and High School, right? Of course it's not worth dating. If in the past when Mbak Wening was still a girl could keep himself from dating because he knew it could get closer to adultery, hopefully today, after Mbak Wening was married, Ma'am Wening could be better able to take care of himself."

Ridwan said expectantly,

Ma'am Wening nodded, her eyes glazed over, she said,

He had been bad to think that Ridwan would talk rudely to him, but it turned out that so softly Ridwan spoke, that Mbak Wening's heart even became filled with a sense of haru.

Yes, indeed, one luck in itself certainly, getting the attention of a very dear little brother.

Dear little brother because of God, who he knew and well aware that loving his sister was part of his duty.

Loving her by protecting her, keeping her honor, helping her economy if she is hard, taking care of her if she lives alone until old age.

The older sister was sort of a mother anyway, and Ridwan who studied religion well, of course wanted to practice it anyway.

And...

The greatest affection is, of course, keeping all members of his family from one day being able to go to hellfire.
