Episode 17's

"Hey, I want to see how Dietmund runs. Can you go up and show me?"

"That's why we came." Nolan's eyes narrowed as he smiled. He liked my idea.

Because basically he never smiled, seeing his face made me melt.

I didn't know he could make a face like that ...

Fortunately, Nolan beckoned to the horseman's son and walked out without noticing my gaze.

Today, I think I can see a new side of Nolan ...

He rode on Dietmund and the two immediately ran away.

He looks so handsome now!

"Whoa!" I watched him rise in awe when he suddenly made Dietmund run straight towards me.

"Good." Deftly Nolan let go of the saddle and gracefully descended by my side.

"Can't! Last time I rode a horse was only with my father when I was a kid ... " I refused it.

"What are you thinking? Besides, I never said you had to ride it alone."

What does it mean we're riding together?

"Put your feet here." Nolan pointed to the stirrup.

"O-okay..." I followed his instructions and put my right foot in the stirrup.

"Your left foot!" I quickly swapped my other legs in stirrups while Nolan held and supported me as I climbed up

*I thought Nolan might be a little bossy...

Somehow I can climb without falling, but it's so high here*!

"Swipe forward a little." Nolan

"Hmm?" Confusedly I advanced forward a little and gave Nolan enough space to sit behind me.

“H-Hey! It's so narrow!" Excruciate.

Very**narrow! And again he's too close.

“Can't hold it. This saddle only fit one person." Nolan said without further ado.

*It's hard for me to focus because he's pressing on my back!

Besides, his arm is encircling me to be able to hold the control rope*!

I pulled myself forward, squeezing the saddle horn with all my might.

It felt like he was holding me from behind!

I glanced at my shoulder and looked at him.

Nolan looked back at me, his handsome face much closer than I thought it was.

"What?" Ask.

"T-No!" I turned my head forward, hiding my blistered red face from his sight.

Meanwhile, Nolan nudged his horse with his foot and made Dietmund take a quick step.

"Aren't we going too fast, Nolan?"

"You're the one who wants to see Dietmund run."

Just by her tone of voice, I knew that she really liked to bother me like this.

I hope he stops that soon!

"I said I wanted to see Dietmund run, not while riding him!" I shouted because we were riding very fast at the moment.

"You're really picky." He spoke while laughing, slowing our pace down to a comfortable tempo.

"If it's like this, I can handle it." I soon got used to the altitude and speed. And can start enjoying the scenery and the wind that hit my face.

"It's been a long time since I last rode a horse ... I forgot it feels good! It seems like all my stress and worries are drifting along ..." I said.

"Yes. That's why I came here."

"What was that?" I turned around and asked, her calm words carried by the wind.

A confident person like Nolan can even be stressed?

"It seems strange that someone like you could be stressed out, Julia." Nolan

"Hmm? Hehe, I thought the same thing about you." My reply.

"Don't be too confident." Nolan snorted as he urged his horse to leave faster.

I held the saddle horn as his horse galloped.

The nice thing about Nolan is that he can see me for who I really am, so I don't have to pretend to be someone I'm not.

After some time around together ...

"Let's stop and let Dietmund rest for a while." Take Nolan

"Good idea. I'm sure he'll take a break, too." My solute.

Nolan jumped off the horse, held the control rope in one hand and stretched the other towards me.

I grabbed Nolan's hand and swung my leg up to cause his horse to fear and pull himself back.

"Whoa!" I would definitely fall tumbling to the ground, but instead of falling, I floated harmlessly in the air.

"Julia!" Nolan shouted in panic and grabbed me into his arms.

Although he had a slender body, his arms were surprisingly strong and could stop me from falling.

"Are you okay?" His usual cold gaze disappeared, now replaced with worry and fear.

"I'm fine, just a little scared. Thank you, Nolan." I said.

"certain." He lowered me to the ground gently.

When he treated me well like this, my calm heart started pounding.

Now all I can think about is the warmth of his arm ...

"Hey you! More carefully! Why don't you pay more attention?!" Shouted Nolan.

"Nolan? I'm not sure if you're yelling at me or the horse." I looked at him confused.

"You two! You are too light which is good for yourself. Dietmund probably didn't know you were still there." Nolan.

That's not a good reason to be mad at me, is it?!

"Come, I'll get Dietmund back and we can stop by the cafe." Nolan said as he walked away.

"T-Nolan, wait for me!" I chased behind him in a hurry.

I take back my words! He's not good at all!

After that, we went to a simple cafe and sat down for lunch.

When we finished eating, Nolan stared out the window at the prancing horse while sipping tea.

"You've been riding horses since you were a kid?" My toot.

"Yes. I started before I went to elementary school." The answer.

"That's a good hobby. I wish I was better at it." I said.

"Early ... It was my father's hobby at first." Nolan.

"Hmm? Your daddy?" My toot.

So, her father who was that famous lawyer also liked horse riding as well?

"He didn't even ride it. He just came to meet a rich client." Nolan.

"Huh? That's a strange reason to come ..." I said.

"Any .. yes. Growing up with him must have made me weird too." Nolan said, his eyes glaring.

*I want to know what he means...

It would probably be disrespectful for me to interfere in his family affairs*...

Although I hesitated to ask, Nolan decided to keep telling her.

"My father was always hard on me in terms of education."

"Not only learning ... He brought me here to learn what he did in his spare time as well."

"There's horseback riding, tennis, golf, yatch riding, clay pigeon shooting. The list is long and keeps rolling." Nolan.

"That sounds like a good father to me. It's good for kids to have so much experience." I said.

"Well, it does look like that if you don't know the truth." Nolan spoke with a bitter smile and continued.

"When I was a kid, I thought my dad really loved me."

"I'm proud that everyone calls me 'Nolan. Jr.' and I wore it like a badge of honor. "

"But as I grew older .. I realized what my father was planning." Nolan.

"What's that?" Askaqua.

"He told me to do all these things so he could make connections with the rich." Nolan said this with a horrified look on his face.
