Twisted Love's

Twisted Love's
Episode 1's

Finally, after a long flight, I arrived in Kaleido.

"So this is Kaleido City I've always wanted to visit ...!"

"Hey, you dropped something!" When I turned around to see where the voice came from, I saw a tall and slender man holding a passport.

"What?"

"Oh!" I quickly checked the inside of my bag.

Where's my passport?

"This is yours." After taking out the passport and making sure it was indeed mine, I looked at the man.

"Thank you ka-" When I wanted to say thank you, she suddenly leaned over.

Huh huh? What was?

I became nervous under his unwavering gaze and sharp face.

"Aren't you..." When he's gonna say something...

"Yeah!! Found you!" A group of excited girls suddenly broke through between us.

"Welcome back! We've been waiting for you!"

W-what is this?

In the blink of an eye, I was pushed aside as the girls surrounded the man.

"Well, be sure to be careful from now on. See you soon." He peeked over the heads of the girls dragging him and waved at me.

"Thank you!" I waved back.

What the hell just happened?

It seems like he wanted to ask me something.

I put my passport in my bag and looked at the man again.

Is he a celebrity?

As I tilted my head, wondering exactly who he was, I saw another crowd approaching me.

"Hmm?"

That guy, I feel like I've seen him somewhere before.

As if he was being dragged by a group of girls around him, his gaze landed on me and his lips curved upwards.

"Hehey"

Did he just laugh at me?!

I became irritated, as if I was somehow mocked.

I watched as he walked towards the man before.

So they know each other, huh?!

They somehow broke free from the crowd and quickly left the lobby.

Just when I thought it would return to peace and quiet, a commotion began near the giant TV monitor.

"What else now?"

Hey, I know that guy.

A famous swimmer was on the screen, wearing a stern expression.

"Miguel Hernandez, who won the Olympic gold medal in swimming last year ..." Speak news anchor initiates.

"... has announced that he will rest indefinitely!"

"This sudden news shocked the team members as well as the acquaintances."

"I'm sure many of his fans will be anxious waiting for his return."

I remember watching her performance at the Olympics on TV before.

Too bad. Everyone thinks he has a lot of potential.

"Wait a minute! We have the latest news!"

"Says there's a surprising reversal!" Another man's face appeared on the screen while the news anchor was getting excited.

This guy is a famous lawyer. I guess, I've heard he's never lost a case.

From my limited knowledge, he defended politicians against tax evasion charges from citizen groups.

"Mr Zarek! Do you really believe your clients are innocent?" Said one of the reporters.

"Please tell us what you think!"

"...No comment" He seemed to leave the crowd of reporters.

"He won again in the face of the hope of a great defeat, I present it to you ... Nolan Zarek's. Jr!" Said the excited host.

"This is the ninety-nine times he did such a great thing!"

As I was engrossed in the news, I felt something touch my shoulder.

"Well, whoa! Isn't this Julia!"

"Mrs. C! Haven't seen you in a long time!"

The one who came to pick me up was Mr. Nathaniel Chrysler, one of my father's friends.

He's the one who helped me find a home in Kaleido.

"Well, this is where you're going to stay, Lilac Court!"

Mr. C dropped me off in front of the apartment building before saying he had to finish some work and leave.

It turned out that only people were sought by Mr. C alone can stay here.

I sighed deeply as I stared at Lilac Court, my home from now on.

"Woof! Woof!" Just then, a golden retriever ran up to me to greet me.

"Welcome home." And a man with a gentle demeanor appeared from behind.

"It's nice to meet you, I'm Julia Darwin. I'll be in your care starting today."

"I've heard everything from Nathaniel. I run Lilac Court, my name is Joshua Cooper. It's nice to meet you."

"Please call Josh. This is the apartment's pet, Lucas. We look forward to your presence here."

I spent the rest of the afternoon around the apartment and cleaning my room.
