EIGHTY FOUR

Agum ran while carrying Lintang's body into the hospital lobby which was not far from his contract. And behind him was Danang who also looked anxious. Agum's bruised face and Lintang condition filled with bloodstains made the hospital visitors who happened to cross paths with him just look at him with questionable gazes.

"Sus help my wife, please call the sus doctor immediately!!", cried Agum in front of the nurse who was in the hospital lobby. Agum's scream made the nurse who was there surprised.

"Wait a minute sir, let us get you a gurney first" the nurse replied.

Soon two male nurses approached Agum pushing a gurney, and Latang was placed on top of the gurney.

The latitude is pushed using the gurney towards the IGD chamber. And in front of that room was already standing a doctor who was a guard doctor tonight.

"Please save my wife doc, please!!", said Agum with unrelenting eyes shedding tears.

The doctor looked a little smiling. "Calm down sir, we'll try our best to save your wife"

The doctor began to step into the IGD room and was followed by Agum. The doctor stopped his footsteps.

"Mothers should wait outside. Let us handle the father's wife" said the doctor forbid Agum to go inside.

Agum flinched, he still wanted to accompany Lintang inside the room. "But I want to accompany my wife doc".

The doctor was trying to understand Agum's anxiety. "So, you just wait outside, let ka___"

"But I want to be with my wife doc!!", cried Agum trimmed the doctor's speech.

Danang approached Agum and patted him on the shoulder. "Gum calm down, we wait for the latitude outside"

Finally Agum, according to him, the doctor went back into the room to check the condition of Latitude. Agum dropped his body weight on the floor while leaning against the wall of the IGD room. He clenched his knees while ruffling his hair.

Danang can only be concerned about the condition of Agum which is so bad like that. He approached Agum and patted his shoulder trying to give him strength.

"Why am I not the only one who was injured?, why must Lintang bear all this?", said Agum lirih with tears so swift flowing.

And who breathed in. "You know how much Lintang loves you Gum?, even at the peak he felt the wound, he still sacrificed himself to protect you"

Agum looked at the ceiling of the hospital with a blank look. Many times he banged his head against the wall.

"Don't be like that Gum!!", Danang warned.

Agum. "Even until I die will never be able to make up for the pain borne by Lintang mas!"

And who breathed in. In his heart also terbesit a concern for the condition of Latitude, but as much as possible he must look tough to strengthen Agum.

"Already Gum, now we both pray for the healing of Lintang" said Danang

I heard the IGD door open. The doctor who was handling the latitude came out of the room. Agum and Danang approached the doctor.

"How is my wife doing, Doc?!", asked Agum impatiently.

The doctor smiled. "Alhamdulillah the stab wound is not too deep sir. After this, your wife will we move to the treatment room. Inshaallah, a maximum of one week, your wife can already be brought home"

Agum facing towards the Qiblah. He was lying on that floor.

"Thank You for saving my wife, Lord!!"

The woman was lying weakly on a hospital bed in the second-class ward of a hospital. His eyes are still closed. Infusion hoses, oxygen hoses and a bandage on his shoulder were also seen adorning his frail body. Although from the look of his face like enduring an insufferable pain, but his face still radiates an aura of peace for anyone who sees it. He seemed so peaceful in his current condition.

Agum sat in a small chair beside the hospital bed where Lintang lay. He held Lintang's hand and he put it on his cheek.

Agum sobbing. Seeing the current state of Latitude, he ceaselessly cursed himself.

"Why don't you let me get that prick, baby? Why do you have to sacrifice yourself just to protect a man like me?" said Agum lirih.

He kissed the back of the hand Lintang. "Dear, wakeup. I need you!!"

The sobs of Agum came to a halt when the door of the room at Latitude opened from outside. Her eyes widened.

Ratih's mother then rushed to embrace the weak lying Latitude.

"Yes Allah Ndhuk, why is it like this?" said Ratih's mother. "Wake up son, wake up!!", he continued.

"Father, calm yourself first" said om Toni.

Ratih's mother shook her head. "It must have hurt a ton, I can't see it like this"

Om Toni sighed deeply. "A strong female star, I'm sure Lintang can get through this "

Om Toni could only stare at Lintang's body with a pushy gaze. After getting word of his nephew, he rushed to Ratih's mother's house and then headed for the hospital. His gaze turned towards Agum.

"What exactly is Gum?", asked om Toni directly on the subject.

Agum sobbing. "I'm sorry, it's all my fault"

Om Toni scrunched her forehead. "What do you mean Gum?"

"Br*****you Gum!!, You may do this to Latitude.

Ratih's mother who heard the story from Agum, immediately his body was limp and he sat in a small chair beside the bed Lintang.

Agum then approached Ratih's mother and rested at her father-in-law's feet while holding her hand "Please please forgive mom, Agum beg for mercy!!"

Ratih's mother shook her head. "What's wrong my son??!"

Agum shook his head. "It's all my fault ma'am. I beg for mercy!!"

Ratih's mother just fell silent, stunned to see her daughter-in-law who was resting on her lap. His heart broke when he found out that the man under his feet had betrayed his daughter.

"Is this your reply to Lintang with all the filial love he has for you as well as your late mother?", asked om Toni sarcas.

"I'm sorry Agum om, I'm sorry Agum!!", said Agum pleading.

Om Toni grunts. "Even thousands of words of apology from you will never be able to restore the heart of Latitude as it was!!"

Agum was still at the feet of his father-in-law.

"We as a family have never incised this kind of wound in the heart of Lintang, I regret giving you my blessing. If from the layman I knew that you were br*****, I would never let Lintang be your wife Gum!!", continued om Toni.

Ratih's mother's cries are getting louder. He could feel what the current Latitude was feeling. A sense of tightness overpowered his chest. He pulled his hand from Agum's.

Ratih's mother breathed deeply. "Free Latitude from this misery mas!!"

Agum jerked. "I mean mother?"

"Mother ask, please return the latitude to us"
