Turning Point

Turning Point
FIFTY NINE

A week passed. Ranti's mother was still lying in a hospital bed. Today Agum is off, and took the time to accompany Lintang in the hospital.

Every day, twice a day Anwar doctor made a visit in the room of Ranti's mother in the care. During this week, the state of Ranti's mother did not show significant development, instead it looks increasingly drop.

Ranti's mother was also seen several times whining to go home, she felt bored in the hospital.

"Mbak?", call Ranti's mother.

"Yes Mom?"

"I want to go home, I'm bored, ma'am"

Lintang smiled and then he clasped his mother-in-law's hand. "Please ma'am, soon Anwar doctor here, later we can ask if you can go home or not". Ranti's mother nodded.

"Mas, can you ask for help?", asked Lintang to Agum who was seen lying on the floor with a mat in front of the nightstand while looking busy with his cellphone.

"What deck?", asked Agum briefly.

"Please take care of mom for a while, I want to go to musholla for a while, want to pray dhuha.

Agum nodded and Lintang set foot towards musholla. But his footsteps stopped when he saw Dr. Anwar enter his mother-in-law's room. Lintang also denied his intention to go to musholla and chose to see Dr. Anwar.

"Good morning ma'am?" said doctor Anwar kindly greet Ranti's mother.

"For the doctor", replied Ranti's mother.

"Where are the circumstances today ma'am, do you feel healthier than before?", continued Dr. Anwar

Ranti's mother shook her head. "I want to go home doc, I'm not here anymore"

Doctor Anwar smiled. Then it circulated its gaze towards Latitude and Agum.

"How is my mother doing, Doc?", asked Agum.

"It seems that your mother's condition did not show a significant development, so for example today it would be taken home, I allow. Fear mother feels bored here, then make her psychic down so that it inhibits her spirit to heal. Perhaps, if he is at home can be happier so that he can re-awaken his spirit" explained Dr. Anwar.

"Then, what should we do in the dockhouse?", asked Agum.

"Later I give a prescription medication that must always be routinely taken mas. At home can also be treated by frequently massaging the hands and feet of the mother using rub oil to feel warmer mas, so that it can stimulate the nerves as well" replied Dr. Anwar.

"So today you are allowed to go home doc?", asked Lintang affirms

Doctor Anwar smiled. "Please mbak"

"Bundaaaaaaaa!!!", shouted Nana as she ran into the arms of Lintang shortly after an online taxi stopped in front of her house.

"Honey.!!!", said Lintang while shedding tears because his heart was filled with a passionate longing for his little daughter. "How are you feeling baby, Nana is healthy?, does not make the same grandma bother with aunt Friska right?", continued Lintang.

Nana shakes. "Neither mother, Nana has always been the same grandmother"

The latitude smiled too. Agum looks to be picking up Ranti's mother then takes her into the room.

He laid his mother's body on the bed. Ratih's mother is also seen waiting for his iron return and is currently sitting on a plastic chair next to his bed.

"How is she?", asked Ratih's mother.

Ranti's mother just shook her head. "I'm tired of being in the hospital mom, eating it I asked to go home",

"Patience ma'am, you must have the spirit to get well soon",

Ranti Tetiba's mother shed her tears. "I don't know until when I'm like this mom, I also sometimes want to give up". Ranti's mother tried to hold back her sobs. "But I am grateful to have a daughter-in-law like Mbak Lintang ma'am, she did not mind when taking care of me especially when cleaning the dirt from my body, she did not feel disgusted at all"

Ratih's mother smiled. "It's been a latintang bu obligation so you don't have to feel shy".

Ranti's mother even more sobbing. "Thank you very much ma'am"

"Sama-sama ma'am", replied Ratih's mother.

************

A month has passed. Ranti's mother's condition is still the same. There is no development of anything even Ranti's mother looks no longer have the spirit to live.

"Let's get a little lifted up his body, let Lintang change diapers, this is too dirty, Lintang is worried to make the mother uncomfortable" said Lintang while wearing special diapers adults to her mother-in-law.

Latitude smile. "Why, baby?"

"Mother doesn't stink?", asked Nana plainly

The latitude covers both of his sons cheeks. "Nana remember, back when she was a baby who used to change diapers and take care of Nana?"

"Mother", he answered briefly.

"Well tomorrow when the mother is old and can not say anything more, replace Nana ya who takes care of the mother. Just like now, when my grandmother was sick, so my mother had to take care of her" said Lintang.

"But the one who became the grandmother's son was the father, not the mother, so the one who should take care of the grandmother was the father" protested Nana.

Lintang was anxious to see the babbling of his little princess. "Honey, I'm working to support all of us, so you're the one who replaced me"

"Oohhh, is that your mother?"

"Yes dear"

Nana then climbs on top of Ranti's mother's bed. He rubbed his grandmother's hand.

"Grandmother healed quickly, so I can play with Nana again"

*********

The latitude looks busy in the afternoon. After he bathed Nana and now engrossed in playing lego in the living room, Lintang switched to taking care of her mother-in-law. He mopped his mother's body with warm water then changed diapers and clothes.

When he finished, he cooked a meal to welcome Agum. From morning he did not have time to cook and only buy cooked vegetables at the rice stall, therefore this afternoon he took the time to cook to welcome the return of Agum.

Finished his job. Although there are still piles of pots and dirty pans Lintang chooses to rest for a while by sitting in the living room while waiting for Nana to play.

Chequek...

The sound of the door opening. Soon Agum came in. The latitude is a little surprised, it is not usual for Agum to come home at this time.

"Mas, have you come home?" said Lintang as she approached her husband and kissed the back of his hand. Nana who was there also greeted her father.

Agum just smiled wryly. "Yes", he answered briefly.

Agum's eyes widened to see the messy living room with Nana's toy. He set foot into the room, he again looked up at the bed was also a mess. Then he went to the kitchen, he was surprised to see the laundry had piled up on the sink.

Agum threw his breath rough. Seeing the condition of the house like a broken ship.

"Will you eat now?", asked Lintang.

Agum looked into Lintang's eyes with a slightly different look. "You can actually take care of the house, right?"

Latitude gasped, hearing Agum's rude-sounding question. "What do you mean?"

Agum rattled his hair rough. "You know, I came home from work tired, wanting to rest but instead saw the state of the house like a ship broke gini. Why are you all day?"

The deg!!!

Latitude Heart as if pierced invisible knife heard the question from Agum. A question that should not be asked by him.

Lintang smiled bitterly. "Why do I ask you all day?"

Agum was silent without flinching.

Lintang tried to hold back the tightness in his chest. "I take care of mom, I take care of our son, I take care of the house, and I still ask you why all day?, do you deserve to ask me questions?

Agum still put up his flat face. "If you run the house why this house ma____________________"

"I was just resting my body for a while, just a moment!!", said Lintang cut Agum's speech with tears that he could no longer bear.
