Turning Point

Turning Point
FORTY NINE

Ranti's mother is seen sitting in the living room chair waiting for Agum's return. He tried to hold back his sleepiness, because at nine o'clock this night, he usually fell asleep. But not for tonight because he felt that something had to be done with Agum.

"Mom, don't rest?", asked Mimin

"I wait for Agum Min, you go to sleep first" replied Ranti's mother.

"Alright ma'am, I sleep first yes", said Mimin then waltzed away.

Ranti's mother was still patiently waiting for Agum. He felt he had to speak to his son so that his dispute with Lintang did not drag on. Moments later, the sound of Agum's car entered the front yard.

Czech....

Agum opened the door that happened to not have been locked. He was surprised to see his mother sitting on one of the living room couches.

"Why haven't you slept yet?", asked Agum in surprise.

"Do you think you can sleep well, see your daughter-in-law crying all day and not come out of the room?", asked Ranti back.

Agum was shocked to hear the story from his mother. He did not expect that today Lintang would lock themselves in the room.

"What have you done to your wife Gum?", asked Ranti's mother to break the silence.

"What do you mean by mother?", asked Agum puzzled.

"The star told me everything. I didn't think you'd behave like this to your wife. You really hurt her" said Ranti's mother.

Agum lowered his head. Trying to master the turmoil that was inside his chest. He feels he is the most evil man if he behaves like this to the Latitude. Because after all, the sex of a fetus in the human womb is the absolute right of God given to humans.

Ranti's mother breathed a rough breath. "You know, your wife is taking on a heavy responsibility as a wife, and now that you're adding to your childlike attitude, you're completely outrageous Gum!!!"

Finally a tear escaped from Agum's eye, he rested on his mother's lap, and wept there.

"I'm sorry ma'am!", said Agum lirih

Ranti's mother shook her head. "Not to your mother should you apologize, apologize to your wife, please don't hurt her with this attitude of yours"

************

Slowly, Agum opened the door to his room. He moved his feet towards the bed. Visible Lintang is asleep with a sloping position facing the wall. Agum sat on the edge of the bed. He looked at his wife's sleeping face. Lintang looks so calm in his sleep after a day Agum managed to break his heart, and now he looks so peaceful in the sea of dreams even though both eyes still look swollen.

Slowly, Agum rubbed Lintang's head, hoping that his presence would not disturb his sleep. For a long time he stroked his wife's hair while looking in any direction. No doubt make Lintang squirm, feel the presence of someone. He opened his eyes. And saw Agum was already nearby.

"Darling?", call Agum lirih.

Latitude noticed Agum's face. His eyes looked teary like they were holding back tears. Then he dropped his body weight next to Lintang's body and hugged her tightly.

"Darling, I'm sorry!",

That was the first word that came out of Agum's mouth after he had silenced Lintang since yesterday afternoon. Lintang was still stunned, he did not know what kind of response to give because his heart still hurt.

"I'm sorry for my attitude, baby. I'm sorry", added Agum. Agum no longer knew what words he had to say, because he felt that he had hurt his wife too much.

Latitude just smiled wryly. "Sleep, rest your body!", cried Lintang.

Agum looked at Lintang's face, and Lintang simply smiled as he nodded. I don't know what that means. Lintang did deliberately not want to discuss the problem he was facing at this time because his body felt so tired.

************

The morning sun began to climb his throne. Replaces a tired night on the throne. It looks like Agum is busy struggling in front of the stove accompanied by his mother and Mimin. This Sunday morning, he plans to make breakfast for Lintang who is currently back asleep after this morning prayers.

Agum rushed to his private room. With a tray containing rice, chicken soup, bananas, and a glass of milk specifically pregnant women, then he put it on the nightstand.

"Honey, breakfast first yuk?!", said Agum while waking his wife.

"Dear, wake up and have breakfast!",

Agum kisses the forehead as well as the latitude cheeks. Then he also landed his kiss on the belly of Lintang while rubbing it slowly.

"Good morning little angel father also mother, we have breakfast first yuk!", said Agum.

The flabbergasted latitude did not believe Agum was doing that after his dispute yesterday. Does that mean he can accept the presence of a daughter?, and forget his passionate desire to have a son?

"Mas?", call Lintang while shedding tears.

Agum smile. "Yes baby, I'm guilty, I'm sorry. Now whatever God gives me, I will always be grateful"

"Thank God if you can beat your ego",

Agum nodded. "Yes breakfast first yuk dear, pity from yesterday our child in here has not eaten" said Agum while rubbing the stomach Latang.

"Suapin!!", replied the spoiled latang

Agum also took the plate that was on the nightstand. Then he bribed Lintang lovingly.

"After this get ready baby!", orders Agum.

The latitude scrunched his forehead. "Where are you going?",

Agum smiled too. "We shop for our children's needs"

******************

At a baby supply store, Lintang was busy traveling around to find all the necessities to welcome the birth of her baby. Before leaving, he first consulted his mother, what items he should buy.

The first step is the baby diaper. However, diapers are the primary items needed by newborns. Two dozen diapers made it into her shopping cart.

He shifted to clothes, hand shirts, socks, and long and short baby pants. He looks anxious to pay attention to the tiny objects, feels like he wants to put everything in his shopping cart.

"Why is it so much predominantly blue, dear?, is it not that girls tend to pink?", asked Agum.

Latitude smile. "It does not have to be pink mas, blue is more neutral"

Agum nodded too. "It's less what else, dear?", he asked.

"Living nyari bedong, blanket, same equipment for sleep only mas" replied Lintang.

"You want to buy a baby box, dear?", asked Agum.

"Emmmm don't do it, our child will sleep in our bed only. So just buy a small mattress and pillows are also bolsters", replied Lintang.

"You want to take this?", asked Agum while pointing at the stroller next to him.

The latitude chuckles. "Our son doesn't need that yet. He needs to be in a cradle directly with his father and his mother"
