Chapter 50 - Meeting Held

“Bi! Let's take a quick shower, we have a meeting in 15 minutes. This is your email I have replied to. We are told to stop working first.” Dara knocked on the bathroom door, giving her husband important information.

“This already.” The bathroom door suddenly opened, and Tomi walked out of it. He hugged his wife and kissed her.

“Come. We'll be late for Zoom. Kids still sleeping.” Dara pulled her husband's hand, and Tomi walked around trying to hold her towel.

Dara opens Zoom, and looks like all her friends are there. There were also dozens of other names he had never seen before.

The notification sound of group messages on his phone began to get crowded immediately, when the CEO of the company owner entered the meeting session.

Mira: [This is what is Miss OM? ]

Danang: [Yeah, kok serem no boss sir ]

Glinda: [Hahaha rising mass salary ]

The group continued to be crowded until finally the CEO turned on his microphone. Everyone tried to listen carefully. In the first minutes, everyone was so amazed by all the praise that came out of the man's mouth for the hard work of his employees. Until ...

“We have finally decided to send everyone home because our business is going for liquidation soon ..” that sentence stops the brain work of all who hear, including Tomi, and Dara. Dara was stunned to no longer know if he was still treading on earth or had moved nature.

The CEO's man still continues to talk, until he finally finished and the meeting was closed. Working groups on WhatsApp are back.

Danang: [How should we go, this? **__* ]

“Office close, Ra?” Tomi still does not understand what happened at the meeting. Naturally, he was not very good at understanding foreign languages.

Dara nodded softly, and Tomi patted her forehead instantly.

“We just wait. After this there is a group call with ma'am OM. I actually heard this issue a few months ago. Many of our products are not already being run. Some friends have found new jobs. Do you remember, many have resigned before? They've sniffed.” Dara explained in a limp tone. He knew this was going to happen, but had no chance to find another job.

However, on the bright side, this company said it would not be out of hand and still pay severance. Hearing that, Dara was a little more relieved.

“Friends still have to work until the end of this month. Six more days. After that, we will be finalized.” said the OM. Little Dara could accept, for at least they did not leave empty-handed. After all, he is optimistic that he can work again after this in other companies.

The call was over, and both were still pensive. Their expenditure was not so great, but Tomi definitely thought about how to meet Farah's demand.

“Do not be afraid. There must be a way out ..” Dara encouraged her husband and gave him a warm embrace.

“Iya. You're correct. There is no point in me complaining. Better, find the solution.” Tomi quickly accepted everything that had been decided.

“We try first tomorrow using the tool. After that .. we can open officially. Fortunately you already have this business idea, dear” he continued praising Dara. Dara smiled, and clasping her husband's fingers gave her strength and returned to work as usual, even though her brain was divided here and there.

Their offices are not the only ones affected by the pandemic. So far, there have been many people who have lost their jobs because of businesses that went down due to the coronavirus attack. What can I do? Dara and Tomi fortunately can be heartened and not fixated on the problems they experience.
