The Woman Behind The Scenes

The Woman Behind The Scenes
Chapter 40 - Remember the Word Mother!

"Mah! Mah! Dara!" tomi's voice calling out loud boomed inside the house. Dara quickly finished what she was doing in the kitchen and approached her husband.

"Yes. Why?"

"Where are the books we buy in Singapore?"

"There was. Wanna wear?" Dara was amazed, because her husband did not like to use branded products to and fro in his daily life. Tomi did not answer, just looked at his wife with a heavy breath, indicating Dara's question did not need to be answered actually.

"This .." said Dara while giving a polo shirt that he just took out of the closet, looking neat in a hanger.

Tomi took it without further ado and left his wife, and went to take a bath. On this holiday, Dara hopes her husband can take her to a place to unwind her, it seems she is wrong ... It seems Tomi has other plans.

Dara returned to the head of the snapper that he was processing earlier. She was cooking her husband's favorite gravy snapper.

Ting! Ting! Ting!

The tone of the incoming message on her husband's phone. From whom are these messages? Dara fights with her curiosity, weighing whether she should open her husband's phone ... again.

"Well .." he muttered to himself and went to get the phone. Not opening, just see the contents of the message from the notification shortcut on the home page of the phone.

+6287765*****: [ Hahaha! Yes, Kio's father. See you then ]

"Ehem! Why you?" tomi's voice startled her, Dara quickly scrolls the notification up again.

"Eh. Yes ... I saw the clock" polishing it.

Tomi rushes to get his phone out of his wife's hand and into the room. Shortly after, he came out with the clothes he had asked for, navy jeans, and shoes that he rarely wore.

"Rapi once ..." Dara's mind was unpretentious with various questions that popped into her head.

"I'll go first. Go get the kids. You get ready, when I get back here, we go with the kids." Tomi said briefly, without looking at his wife, not waiting for Dara's answer.

Dara flattened her expression, thinking that her husband had rarely done their habit of getting married, waiting for a kiss on the back of her hand before going anywhere.

"Is he angry with me? Am I too busy taking care of two kids?" his inner.

Since they did not use the services of domestic helpers, Dara became busier. He must wake up early, prepare their supplies in the office, as well as for his two children during the deposit. When you get home, Dara usually rushes to cook, wash, and do other homework.

I don't know .. he himself does not understand how to divide his time, but after all finished after work, he always has time.

This routine has lasted for months, not felt at this time Kayla has entered the age of 8 months. The boy already has 4 front teeth that add to his cute, and has started to speak in baby language. Kio has started speaking, adopting the language used by his friends in daycare. Because of his interest, Kio was finally decided to take a PAUD class with the other children there, and he looked enthusiastic. Too busy, until time passes ...

Dara returned to her almost finished cooking. He just needs to boil it in 4 minutes.

"Hmmmmm. Delicious." he murmured after tasting a spoonful of gulai.

As her husband said, Dara immediately took a shower and prepared. She knew very well her husband did not like to wait for someone to get ready if they want to go anywhere.

It seemed like her husband was going to take her for a walk after a full week at work and at home.

Dara took her mid-skirt. That creamy color looked so pretty on her body, with a pale white top. Her hair is so pretty.

Drrrt!

Cellphone sounds. An Instagram notification. Dara opens it, seeing a friend request from someone by the name of Rafa Aditya. Hmmm, pretty familiar. He accepted the request, then continued to comb his hair.

Drrrt!

His phone rang again. Dara checked it, got a like notification on the photos she posted, then a message from the person she just confirmed her friend request.

Rafa Aditya: [ Hi. It's Dara? Dara Maudya's? My Junior Friend, right? ]

Dara: [ Yes. Its me. Peot rafa? The cheque? ]

Rafa: [Ohaha! Yes, I'm the cheque, peot. How are you doing? You have 2 children, Ra? ]

Dara: [It is already 2. You alone? ]

Rafa: [I'm still alone, Ra. I work in Jakarta now, but our family has moved to Bandung. Which side are you in, Ra? ]

Dara: [In Dago. Rafa's. Sorry, yes. It will be connected again. I am ready to go with my husband. I also can not often reply messages .. mmmm .. fear to be slander. ]

Rafa: [I understand. MashayAllah. You are a Muslim woman. I'm happy! ]

Dara did not reply to the last message, just read it. She was very careful to reply messages with the opposite sex, unwilling to raise questions from her husband if read.

It has been an hour since Tomi left, there has been no sign of him returning, even though the distance of the house to daycare is so close. Dara patiently waited, sending the message to her husband.

Dara: [ Already? ]

The message was read only by Tomi but not replied to. Dara waited long enough, until finally he decided to lie on the mattress, unwind his back. Two hours passed, not yet.

Pippee! Her husband's motor honks. Dara rushed down with her bag.

Kayla in an MShape sling on Tomi's body, while Kio sits sweetly in her bell chair. Dara took the baby girl, then carried her and climbed on the bike.

"Where's bi?"

"Shop, huh? Make it at home .." replied Tomi. Dara nodded.

The motor drove them to a shopping mall not far from it. Dara rushes down and helps Kio get off his seat, while Tomi is seen replying to something on his phone before finally getting off as well.

"Kio here is equally papa," Tomi gave his hand to reach his son. Dara picked up a shopping cart, then walked down the corridors picking up what they needed at home.

They used to shop regularly like this every week, and Dara was so smart about managing everything at home.

"Yahoooooo!" kio's crying voice shocked him. Dara searched for the origin of the cry. Apparently the boy fell in the corridor next door. Dara cuddly looking for her husband who was with Kio. He calmed his son, looking around. Tomi was seen so far away from Kio, standing fiddling with his phone.

"Bi!" call him Tomi. The man did not flinch. Dara's voice was not so audible.

Dara raises Kio on the shopping cart and heads towards Tomi.

"What the hell, so busy with HP? That's Kio falling!" dara said, seizing the phone from her husband's hand.

"here! Balikin's! I'm replying to people's messages!" tomi's tone shot up, making several eyes look at them.

Dara held back her wrath.

"This is Kio falling, bi. Save the HP first." he spoke in a slower tone.

"Have the shopping finished? Come on home!"

"Yet. You please dong, bi. How can I hurry up if Kio alone no one is guarding." Dara is getting smoother again. Tomi keeps her phone and holds the toddler.

"Hurry along. I wait outside, in the food court." Tomi said and passed with Kio. Tomi's not usually like this. Usually he was most enthusiastic to accompany Dara shopping.

Dara quickly walked down one corridor to the other, then went to the cashier to pay.

He went to the cashier to pay and came out carrying 3 bags of groceries. From a distance he could see Kio and Tomi. The boy was devouring a bowl of fruit ice, while his father still looked solemn on his phone. Dara exhaled, feeling like she wanted to get angry but not start fighting. Every time something like this happened, she kept telling me what her father-in-law said, "Patience, Ra. So the wife has a lot of patience."

She knew she had to be more patient with her husband, even though she had changed a lot in recent months. Still the positive thoughts he tried to use, that is, they just became very busy, and it was natural.
