The Woman Behind The Scenes

The Woman Behind The Scenes
Chapter 43 - The First Complaint

“Assalamualaikum!” Dara enters her house, finding Tomi watching with their two children.

“Mama!” Kio runs to hug his mother. His eyes were fixed on the bag that Dara was carrying.

“This is for Kio, and Kayla.” said Dara handed over the large parcel, and Kio was immediately busy opening it. Kio pulls out a large excavator toy, and a cute panda doll for Kayla.

“Thank you, mom!” Kio hugged his mother again, and seemed immediately busy playing his new toy.

“Why buy toys? Though already said do not wasteful.” Tomi asked in an unhappy tone.

“Not. This is from Mira and Danang, kok.” said Dara lying, after he discussed with Mira and Danang earlier. Tomi nodded.

Dara sat down while tidying up the floor scattered with other toys. Today he enjoys his time with his friends. For 3 hours he can unwind his fatigue, although occasionally keep checking if Tomi has gone home.

“Child Fani is sick.” Tomi suddenly mentioned Fani's name again. Dara did not know what to react to, because she was very unhappy with the woman.

“Then?”

“Kok then? If your child is sick, people will empathize. You know the question like that?” tomi's tone was slightly raised, and Dara knew she couldn't let a fight happen.

“Then? I mean, what can we help?” he answered calmly.

“Fani the single mom. She was widowed, her husband never supported her. His son is only 2 people, the youngest is sick already 3 days of fever. But he can't go home because he has to work. The house is far away. In padalarang.”

“You know a lot about him. Till I know where his house is,”

Tomi breathed out, as if unhappy with his wife's reaction. While Dara this time sturdy did not change her facial expression at all.

“You don't know that kind of thing, because you don't get along. You're arrogant. Where have you ever sat with the nannies there? Worth something like this you don't know.”

Dara growled for a moment. This time, she felt that her husband's words made no sense.

"I don't have to sit and talk to people. Especially until long pleasantries chat every day with the opposite sex. That doesn't matter!" Dara spoke in a Ketus tone, then carried Kayla and Kio, taking them to the room to be put to sleep.

Tomi was stunned, because this time his wife really did not hesitate to show her dislike.

Dara closed the door, then put Kayla to bed in her baby box that was tidying up. The baby was fast asleep, as was Kio who started to look sleepy. He took his cell phone, as if he wanted to complain about what Tomi said to Danang and Mira. Both are good listeners.

He opened WhatsApp looking for his in-law contact.

He also sent the same message to his brother-in-law, Tami.

The crane! Cellphone ringing. Phone call from his father-in-law. Dara immediately raised the call.

"Sister Dara! Geez! Kangen." Tami's voice instantly sounded so loud on the phone.

"Yes the same. Where's mom, Tam?"

"It exists. Oh, by the way, brother. It's a loudspeaker, really,"

"What's up, Dar?" her in-laws voice sounded.

"Mom are you busy later? I want to go there with the kids."

"alone? Or with aa?" ask Tami.

"On your own, Tam, Mah."

"Hmmm. What's the matter?" her in-laws knew something was wrong.

"I'll tell you there, Mah. It's about the kids. I think I should get them out of daycare for a while. Because .. eng ..."

"What, Dara?" said her in-laws again.

"Aa I see it's really nice to chat with the nanny there. His chat was excessive mah, until he was invited to the girl's house everything."

"It's the crocodile take insaf!" Tami grumbled in annoyance.

Dara could hear her mother-in-law breathing.

"Later mama talked to aa. You are patient. No matter what happens, you have to be strong for the kids" her in-laws suggested. Dara held back her tears.

"Yes already, mah. I'll love you again, I'll say."

"Yes .." answered her father-in-law briefly. Dara ended the conversation.

She was actually very sick of her husband's behavior, but the advice from her in-laws always asked Dara to stay. Dara never told her family anything, let alone her mother. He was afraid that the intervention of many people made him not think clearly. Alright. This time it seemed like he had to hold on even more firmly.
