The Woman Behind The Scenes

The Woman Behind The Scenes
Chapter 48 - Four Eyes

Slurp!

Enthusiastically, Tomi sipped the soup from his wife's noodles. The current weather is most fitting accompanied by a bowl of warm noodles, and Dara is always good at spoiling her husband's tongue. Dara ate nothing, but looked on greedily the man who married her finished what she was cooking.

“Oh yes dear. Is everything ready? I mean, when the tool is done, you want to open it?” ask Tomi to his wife.

“Iya. Decorations, logos, menus, everything is ready. I might want to make the first day free for the neighbors around our store later.”

“You know not?”

“What?” ask Dara to her husband's question.

Tomi smiled, sipped water in her glass, and stroked her head.

“You are all-rounders, and I am a lucky man to have the chance to be your husband. Imagine if I was still with Farah?”

Strange but real, the words just popped out of Tomi's mouth, and not trying to be hypocritical, Dara liked the compliment. She caught her husband's hand, and kissed the back of his hand.

“I'm the lucky one. I got a guy like you, willing to support my dream,”

At the end of her tongue, Dara held all the comments she wanted to make in response to Tomi's talk about Farah.

“Do not. Not now.” He murmured inwardly in order to resist that desire, and not to spoil the atmosphere. He could not deny at the age of his 6th marriage this year, Dara still could not end his frustration with Farah. In addition, Tomi still treats Farah the same as several years ago, especially in financial affairs. One thing is different, Dara is no longer much to comment on financial matters to Tomi, because he is slowly starting to take over the results of his own efforts, he said, and no longer arranged by Tomi since their quarrel about Fani.

“You seriously don't want to have another child, baby?” Tomi brought back the joke that Dara had answered earlier when they were in Sapri's workshop.

“Iya. Enough for two.”

Tomi nodded. He approached his wife, hugging her tightly, so that Dara could feel her husband's heartbeat.

“Tumben,” protest Dara with annoyed voice.

Gently, he kissed his wife's forehead, and hugged her again ...

“Promise with me,”

“What's dear?” ask Tomi.

“No more no other Fani ... I've pretty much swept gravel for six years ..”

Tom nodded and looked at his wife. Both hands he put on Dara's cheeks.

“I love you, I love kids. We've got K’s soon. I need to be able to take better care of my family so that K’s can thrive. We never know if your business can be great for us and our family.” Tomi also put his forehead on his wife's forehead, trying to convince Dara. His eyes looked so serious, and of course Dara was suddenly captivated.

Dara hugged her husband, feeling the time brought back the atmosphere 7 years ago when they first met. She must have loved the man who had married her so much, and that was why she had survived, and believed every apology from Tomi.

As a couple who often quarrel, the cold afternoon became their place to sit and talk with each other with a cooler head. Possibly ... Dara is not brave enough to talk about Fani and other women who have ignited her emotions. But, at least she could explain what she wanted from her husband.

“You're funny, baby. As if not needed, but it turns out it takes the same me,” Tomi pinched his wife's cheek, and made the woman blush.

“I'll have more time with you and the kids. I'm also old, actually already uncomfortable hanging out here and there. But ... social life is like that dear.” Tomi continued explaining what basic he often goes with his friends.

Dara clasped her husband's fingers, and placed her head above their grasp.

“Sometimes I think .. what I should stop until here .. there used to be Farah. But I also arrived here. From being very hurt and can cry, to not crying again now.” said Dara and reviewed her thin smile.

“I know. That's why I chose you. You're a great woman. You're powerful. I trust women like you. I promise I'll be better.” Once again Tomi convinced his wife.

For this time Dara can be a little calm, although she knows she can not be too cling to the words of her husband, but at least the words are quite comforting after decades of quarrels that they have passed. I don't know. He is also not sure what he wants, but at this time a harmonious household, may be enough for him.
