The Woman Behind The Scenes

The Woman Behind The Scenes
Chapter 34 - New Team

That morning Dara and Tomi had been preparing since 7 a.m. They're going to visit his new office. Not yet working, just got acquainted with his new environment. Their motorbike stopped in front of a house with Dutch architecture, with a very spacious yard, enough to accommodate 10 cars and dozens of motorcycles. Two shady mango trees, adding to the coolness of the house, and without a doubt the two immediately went inside.

A woman greeted them as soon as they reached the living room. There, they put on their office names. The office, which used to be in the Philippines, is now moving to the magnificent house.

“Hai. It's Tomi and Dara for sure, yeah. I'm Sara.” The woman who looked might have been three-headed, greeted them so kindly, and the smile never dropped down the arch. Sara is their new manager in the office. The Bandung native bloody woman was petite, with a trendy casual style, and her shoulder-length hair.

“This Mbak Dara yes, who likes to check our work?” a man with a very friendly smile, white and tall, small-eyed, greeting virgin. That's Dimas, a supervisor at the office.

“Hai. Just know.” Dara replied in a friendly manner. It didn't take long to become familiar with the new people who were there. He likes his new friends, who look full of jokes and laughter at all times.

That first day they just came for an introduction, looking around the office. Dara is introduced to Mira, her supervisor, and Tomi is introduced to Fanya, another supervisor. Mira is so friendly, she oversees 9 employees, including Dara. They looked compact, and Dara easily blended in with them.

“Kak Dara, will sit near me tomorrow yes, say” said Danang, a member of their group. Handsome man with a tall, strapping, and slim body. Typical appearance of bank officers. With his rather seductive style, he never fails to make Dara laugh with every joke. In the group she was commonly called Barbara, another name when she acted like a girl. Dara immediately became close to Danang, he told Dara a lot of things, introducing where they used to buy their breakfast, lunch, and soto chicken subscriptions.

The next day, Dara and Tomi split shifts. Dara was on the morning schedule, with her team. Danang was already there.

“So sit here right, yes brother?” he was friendly, patting the chair next to him. Since then, Dara has become familiar with the multi-talented man. His war is always cheerful, and give jokes in the middle of working hours, making Dara click as soon as he befriended Nino in the Philippines.

“So, sister's husband ... how long has brother been married to her?” asked Danang on the sidelines of busy they reply to incoming emails.

“Now, it's been four years, Nang.”

“Before 5 years old brother. He said if it lasts 5 years it lasts a lifetime later. Nice guy like, yeah.” Timpal Danang, and Dara could not respond with anything but a smile and nod.

“So this is the second child huh, Dar?” ask Mira at the lunch session.

“Iya. Second child ... I will know the same first. Maybe come with my husband for a minute. After that I'll go home with him.” Answer Dara.

Words true. After that lunch, from the office window, he could see Tomi carrying Kio on an additional splint at the front. Mira really likes children. He approached the boy and his father with Dara.

“Halo little sister!” but Kio did not budge. Dara laughed a little.

“She doesn't speak Indonesian, hahaha!” he told Mira.

“Hi young man's. What’s your name?” Mira changed the question. Kio just smiled looking at the girl.

“This is grey.” Kio instead pointed to the color on Mira's cardigan, and it made Mira and some of the officers who suddenly came, immediately fell in love with Kio.

Dara smiled happily, knowing her family was even well received by her new friends.

“Kak. Come to think of it, Bang Tomi is quite old and has just had a child, huh?” ask Danang after they return to the room. Dara was entrenched, in her heart weighing whether she should answer yes, or tell the truth. Uh! It's too early for them to know every detail. He nodded slowly and with the same smile.

“Iya, Nang. I was quite old when I gave birth to Kio. Now the second child is even getting older, hehe.”

“Nothing. The important thing is that he loves big brother, right?” what Danang said made Dara pensive for a moment. Maybe true, his past is no longer important. Most importantly, he is currently loved by Tomi.
