The Wasted Bride

The Wasted Bride
Not Failing

For a week after Aldair's return from Calgary that was faster than his mother and brother. Aldair chose to stay temporarily in the workspace at his restaurant.

Yes, it was a long time ago when Aldair was thrown out of the house. He no longer held responsibility in his family-owned company because that responsibility had been transferred to Attalaric. That's why even though Aldair has now apologized from his family, he still knows himself not to ask for his position back in the company.

Moreover, he does want to be independent like Attalaric who already has his own startup company in the Land of Uncle Sam which he now trusts his friends.

Aldair let out a long sigh and leaned over to the sofa in the study at his restaurant. He closed his eyes and massaged his nose slowly.

His body is tired because now his restaurant business has grown rapidly, coupled with his new cooperation with a Chef in Calgary there. But not only that, because in addition to his body, his heart was no less tired of his thoughts about the marriage of Attalaric and Arwaa.

Surely the situation at his house is currently busy to prepare Attalaric application because Attalaric will apply for Arwaa first in Toronto, at his family home.

A wall-mounted clock shows almost half-hour 3pm. Maybe it's time he went home. Not until his family thinks that Aldair slumped because of the marriage of Attalaric and Arwaa. Although he felt it a little, but the logic is more dominant not to be dominated by temporary emotions.

Aldair got up and took his car keys on the table. He wanted to go to the supermarket first to buy fruit.

10 Minutes away, Aldair had reached the supermarket nearby. He got out of his car and walked inside.

Aldair, who was focused on choosing fruits, did not see anyone standing behind him. Both were choosing fruit, so when Aldair turned around, he accidentally nudged the woman behind him making the fruits that had just been taken, fall rolling.

"I'm sorry I didn't accidentally" Aldair said immediately crouched down intending to take the fallen fruit. But he was a little surprised because the figure of the woman who was nudged by him was just silent, not intending to take his fallen fruit.

"Yes..."

Aldair's body froze as soon as he heard the voice of the woman he knew so well. Aldair raised his head and immediately looked at the woman.

Aldair's eyes were round as if he could not believe what he was seeing. Slowly Aldair stood up. Now they are really facing.

Aldair noticed the woman's appearance from head to toe. The woman who once filled his heart really looked different from what he remembered in their time together.

That woman is Fani. His ex-girlfriend, the one he once loved so much that he forgot everything, the woman who had given him a beautiful daughter but also took her back.

After an accidental meeting with Fani. They took the time to talk for a while until the ashar adhan reverberated.

Aldair's heart warmed to hear the story of how his former lover chose to emigrate. Yes, Fani is now trying to improve. And what made Aldair surprised earlier was the appearance of Fani who now closed his aura perfectly.

He also wants to be reunited with Arwaa to apologize for all his mistakes that have hurt Arwaa. It seems Fani did think that Arwaa and Aldair were still husband and wife.

However, Aldair also did not intend to tell all that had happened to his story with Arwaa because he did not want to make Fani feel more guilty. So Aldair agreed to Fani's request with an undetermined time because Aldair only informed him if the current situation was not possible.

Since Aldair returned to his parents' house. He was a bit confused because the situation there was very calm. Didn't Attalaric propose to Arwaa, he thought.

A month...

Two months...

Three months...

Aldair was getting strange with the atmosphere in his house. Everyone became quiet, of course except for his sweet nephew. In addition, what makes Aldair wonder is why Attalaric and Arwaa did not immediately marry, because as far as Aldair knew his brother wanted to immediately make Arwaa as his wife. But for three months now, people at home are just preoccupied with their daily activities.

Aldair sighed. Since then he only stayed in the room because he was dizzy with the confusing situation in this house.

Aldair moved as soon as the door was knocked on by someone who turned out to be his sister, Arrazi. He told Aldair to get ready immediately because he was willing to enter Maghrib time.

After congregating at the mosque near his home with his father, and his two brothers. They went home and gathered at the dinner table for dinner.

The atmosphere at the dining table somewhat makes Aldair uncomfortable because his family members seemed to keep a burden on each of them, except Hanna who was chattering ria told about the activities in his paudnya this morning.

"Eh."

Aldair looked at the brother who had just cleared his throat. They looked at each other for a moment before Attalaric shifted his gaze.

"There's something I'd like to say" Attalaric said, leading Aldair to think his brother would announce the date of his marriage to Arwaa.

"I'm going back to America."

Forehead Aldair wrinkled. He doesn't understand Attalaric's intentions, shouldn't he be going to Toronto? Marry Arwaa?

"Why America? Not Toronto?"

"What's going there for?"

Bu Hayya looked worriedly at Mr. Ahmad who was only answered with an eye that meant, "Let the children solve their problems," Arrazi himself chose to shut up and pay attention to his two brothers.

"Who? Of course to marry Arwaa. Wouldn't you propose and marry Arwaa?"

Attalaric chuckled slightly to make Aldair slightly offended.

"There is no marriage whatsoever my dear sister" Attalaric said, looking at Aldair with a grin, but still with sadness in his eyes.

Unfortunately Aldair is not so sensitive. So he ignited emotions with Attalaric's astonishing statement. Didn't the man himself tell her that he wanted to propose to Arwaa, but why did it end up being like this.

"DON'T TALK NONSENSE!!" Aldair's screams pounding the table made Bu Hayya rush to bring Hanna upstairs so as not to witness the adult debate.

"Well, that's the truth."

Attalaric just casually responded to Aldair, even the man started to enjoy his dinner making Aldair even more furious. While Mr. Ahmad shook his head in disbelief with the behavior of his eldest son, as well as Arrazi who tried to be patient so as not to follow the emotions because of the cowardice of his first brother.

Aldair ruffled his hair in frustration.

"Don't tell me it's all because of me?" Grumpily Aldair.

I don't know it's just that his instincts said the cancellation of his brother's intention was because of him.

"Nope. Arwaa asked for it," said Attalaric but did not make Aldair immediately believe because he remembered how Arwaa asked Aldair to let him be happy.

But Aldair tried to cool his head. Faced with Attalaric will not win if with emotion, especially his brother is good at playing words.

Aldair took a rough breath and leaned his body on the chair. He looked at the older brother who had been staring at him too.

"Good then," said Aldair flat make a slight change in the look of Attalaric's face.

"Quite Arwaa is not happy with me. Don't let him be unhappy with his marriage with you because of your cowardice, brother."

Attalaric hands clenched.

"It is enough that he feels the love that claps one hand with me. Don't get to you either" Aldair said, turning his attention to the food on the table.

He began to spoon the rice and took his side dish leisurely without caring about the look on Attalaric's face ready to pounce on anyone.

"I'm not you" Attalaric's wrath was answered by Aldair's shoulder force.

"of course. I'm not a coward like you. I'm just less responsible, that was hehe, too," kekeh Aldair embarrassed for praising himself at the wrong time even though he managed to ignite the emotions of the brother because now Attalaric's turn to hit the table made Aldair back grinning to look at his brother.

"Why, isn't that right, sister?"

"At that time Brother asked me for permission to marry Arwaa on the grounds of wanting to achieve new happiness for Hanna and you. Even to the point of making me cry, it's a shame."

Aldair flicked his hands across his face in shame to remember his crying self in front of his older brother.

"But in fact it's just nonsense. But Arwaa cried to ask me to let her achieve happiness with you. He did not say that directly, but his eyes could not lie. I can capture sincerity and happiness when we talk about you."

"Don't talk nonsense!"

Attalaric looked at Aldair.

"Well, that's the truth," Aldair replies mimicking Attalaric's style when saying that.

"Yasudah Brother. Let my long nights that try to take Arwaa with you be vain and useless. Maybe Arwaa will always continue to think of me as a bad man because it hinders her happiness,"

"I'm a baaaaad guuuy. Duh!"

"Pff! Ahahahaha!!"

Arrazi's laughter immediately broke out hearing Aldair singing a piece of Billie Ellish's song, Bad guy. He really couldn't help but laugh and that made Aldair laugh. The same is true with Mr. Ahmad who also laughed, although in fact he did not really understand.

Attalaric felt weak as soon as he realized his mistake. But a second later he began to smile when he saw Dad and his two brothers laughing. With his determination Attalaric rewinded his chair making those who laughed instantly speechless and attentive to Attalaric.

"I'll call Uncle Jhonny!"

Mr. Ahmad and Arrazi smiled to see the spark in Attalaric's eyes. So did Aldair raise his clenched hand, "Spirited Brother!"
