The Wasted Bride

The Wasted Bride
Farewell & Meeting

After two days of cleaning up the items that will be brought moved.

Finally today I will go to Calgary with Uncle Jhonny, having previously gone through the drama of the women with Naina, Aunt Claire and also Grandma Xin.

They kept crying and would not let me go with Uncle for different reasons but one thing, they did not want me to leave.

Awed but also feels funny. Especially when Aunt Claire sulks until her son, Sean feels ashamed of himself.

"How will I be lonely and troubled in the Bread Shop. You know for yourself the only son Aunt is unreliable," he said scowlingly hugging my hand.

Same with Naina and Grandma.

The woman who had given birth to my mother was sad because later there would be no one to accompany her to enjoy a cup of tea in the afternoon. Unlike Naina, she will lose a confiding friend she said. Although he can still be connected by phone but according to the girl is still different.

Actually there is one more person who is quite surprising me for his sudden appearance at the airport, Kak Mehmet.

Especially before Naina who had been staying at my house since yesterday told that her brother was on a trip to Edmonton to check the state of the halal restaurant branch that had just opened.

The Turkish man gave me a box, I don't know what it was because I haven't opened it yet. Uncomfortable with the gazes of those taking part in ushering into the airport.

Actually want to refuse the gift, but considering he gave it in a public place, it would be impolite if immediately rejected.

Moreover, Uncle had spoken without a sound when I glanced at him with a doubtful look when he got the gift.

"It's okay to accept it" he said, nodding and smiling soothingly.

Then inevitably I accept the gift of Mehmet.

Not because I want to refuse his gift. I just don't want it to be like giving false hope to my best friend's sister. Especially before I had rejected the proposal from Mehmet.

She deserves to be happy without expecting anything from me that somehow worry about failure in this marriage will haunt.

"I hope you'll call me whenever you need help there because I'll come right over" she said, making me feel a little uncomfortable.

And it seemed like Uncle was aware of that, so he patted Mehmet on the shoulder and said, "I don't really understand the rules of relations in your religion, but one thing I remember from my late brother is that you shouldn't hold hope in humans, even if you're brave, so leave a place in your heart to accept disappointment because your Lord is the only place you should keep hope. Am I right?"

Mehmet smiled bitterly.

It seems like he can catch Uncle's intent well. So he said, "Um... I'm sorry if it makes you uncomfortable, so just ignore what I said earlier. I just hope you'll keep on reporting on Naina."

I unraveled the smile of wanting to make the man a little kind of feeling after the indirect reprimand from Uncle Jhonny.

"God has many ways of meeting. I hope that someday He will meet Brother with someone who is kind and worthy of being your life companion Brother."

Mehmet smiled in response.

I think he understood that it was the way I didn't ask him to stop expecting so much from me.

But it turns out he is not the type of man who gives up easily because only a few steps me and Uncle Jhonny left after saying goodbye.

He shouted out loud enough and attracted the attention of some people who were there.

"YES, AND I HOPE IT'S YOU!!"

I stopped for a moment and looked at him. It was enough to make this heart tremble to find the sad look of the beautiful-eyed man.

Before finally Uncle embraced me turned around even though he had turned to Kak Mehmet and like saying something I could not catch, as if a secret for them.

I don't know what it was because when I glanced at Uncle, he just smiled as if calming this feeling.

The nearly four-hour journey to Calgary left me very exhausted, although I did not do much more than just fall asleep on the plane.

It is inconceivable if previously Uncle obeyed my desire to go by train, because he said the journey using the vehicle would take longer, which is eight hours.

Subhanallah.

Our arrival at the airport was greeted by Seba, Uncle's friend who was the resident next to Uncle's apartment that I was going to occupy.

"I thought you'd bring your wife or your lover when telling me that time, but only your nephew hahaha is still single apparently. Though it's almost five heads, it will run out of you," the dark-skinned man's claw made Uncle snort before joking around by locking Seba's neck.

"You're talking about yourself, huh?!"

Astagfirullah al - adzim.

It seems to have to get used to and also more familiarize yourself with the culture here.

Although previously in Toronto was the same but the closest people there are enough to keep the oral to not be too thinly clasped personal matters as Uncle friends do.

Joking two men who could not be said to be young again was finally stopped because a security officer at the airport came closer and reprimanded them. Maybe he thought it was a fight.

Just-there's.

"We're sorry sir," said Uncle Jhonny while his friend was just a grin that was responded to the grunt and also the flickering of the officer's hand.

Sign us to leave immediately.

"Sorry about the airport earlier, you must have been scared at the arrival of the officer," he said as soon as we entered the apartment area.

"Your uncle is always making trouble, even though he is old," he continued mocking which again only responded to a snort by Uncle.

"It's okay Uncle Se..."

"No! Don't call me that, I'm not as old as your Uncle. So just call Seba, don't hesitate," explained Seba cut.

"Pulse... Yes Se... Seba."

I'm a little embarrassed, however, it's not unusual to call an older person just by name without frills like Uncle, Om, Brother, Brother, Brother, or Aunt, and Aunt.

Haa... It seems like I should get used to this as well from now on.

We are currently in the elevator to the seventh floor of the Uncle Apartment I will occupy.

Of course enlivened by a small quarrel Seba with Uncle who seems to be going on for two people together.

'Ting'

Finally the elevator opened to make me take a lot of breath because inside there is quite stuffy especially with crasak ksuruk Uncle and his friend.

"You have to be patient a lot later because you have to be neighbors with him," said Uncle with the mocking intent of making them finally romp.

While I was just gaping to see the remains of the two people who could be said to have grown up.

Especially Uncle because usually he is so guarding the image when in front of me.

"Awaaas you!!" Shouted Seba trying to pull Uncle's shirt but it didn't hit.

Uncle finally arrived first in front of the door which seemed to be Uncle's apartment.

In a hurry Uncle entered the password to open the door to avoid Seba.

But it turned out that I, and Seba were surprised when Uncle who immediately jumped back when the door was open.

"What the f*ck?!"

Screeched Uncle with eyes glaring at someone I thought was in his apartment.

"Hahahaha," Seba's laughter broke.

"Got you Johnny!"

I was just staring at the puzzled woman who was dressed quite openly from inside Uncle's apartment.

Moreover, there was a flash of anger in his eyes as soon as he saw me making me frown.

The more he doesn't understand who he is and what's happening.
