The Wasted Bride

The Wasted Bride
The Neighbors

Almost a full day since yesterday I did not leave the apartment at all because I was not ready to meet those who had seen my aura, albeit accidentally.

Unceasingly this self blames itself for carelessness that is sometimes always done unconsciously.

Uncle Jhonny had repeatedly apologized because he said the incident at that time could also be said to be his fault that could not stop judging me.

"Arwaa, I'm home."

The activity of cleaning up the files for the purposes of college administration stalled with the arrival of Uncle Jhonny who had finished shopping from the supermarket.

I chuckled to see the man who will be 46 this year having trouble carrying groceries.

"Sorry Uncle I'm so troublesome" I said, intending to bring some grocery bags into the kitchen but stopped.

Indeed I ordered a lot of ingredients to make a cake because I intend to make some cakes as an apology to the neighbors who some time ago prepared a welcome party for Uncle and also me.

But it failed because of an unexpected incident so they finished the party faster because of my absence.

"We made this welcome party for your niece, not you. Tired of actually seeing you again" said Uncle while mimicking the style of women's speech because he said Emma, my left-hand neighbor who talks like that.

Uncle even grumbled a little after saying that which actually made me see a little happiness in his eyes when talking about a woman who was 18 years younger than him.

So I wonder hihihi

"Hey you why are Arwaa's own smiles? Have brought the groceries so Uncle bring all of you to the kitchen,"

"Although not young anymore, but Uncle's strength is still as strong as steel," said Uncle made me realize from daydreams about him with the next door neighbor made me chuckle amused because of the level of thickness.

Well even though that is the reality, because I can not deny also if Uncle Jhonny still looks attractive at the age of almost 5 heads.

I don't know what the reason is so that Sister of Alm My mother is still single until now. Even so I hope he is not used to a life that likes to change women, like Seba who proudly says that, he said, as if it was an achievement made me not stop being privileged when I first met him.

"Arwaa hurry, why are you still there? Uncle can't wait to enjoy your cake."

Once again I snorted, awakening from my daydreams about the man I had considered to be my own father.

"What is this Uncle. I'll make a cake for our neighbors. Not for Uncle," I chanted as soon as I entered the kitchen area.

"This basic fish of yours!"

I quickly avoided Uncle's hand that was ready to ruffle my hair making us chase for a moment. Although it finally stopped because Uncle gave up, tired he said with a breath of boredom and I chuckled amusedly to see it.

"Haha yes already then Uncle rest first, let me make the cake myself. Uncle just accompany me when delivering these cakes that I will make. Okay?" I said that only replied by Uncle's hand that made the shape 👌.

***

"Uncle is it really okay?" I was a little hesitant when I was at the door of my left apartment, Emma.

"Why indeed?"

"Yes, I'm afraid they're rejecting this cake."

"Well, we won't know if we don't try."

Relaxed Uncle Jhonny pressed the bell while greeting the apartment owner through the intercom.

Shortly afterwards the red-haired woman with glasses framing her face opened the door.

"Pulse... Hello Mis..."

"Wait!"

I haven't had time to say hello he cut my words making myself a little nervous.

"Call me Emma hehe."

I gaped at Emma extending her hand with the sweet smile she gave.

I thought he would scold me because I, who was not present at the welcome party they had prepared, was wrong.

Suudzon I will be.

Astarghfirullah's.

"Oh... Yes, Emma. Here I bring you a cake as my apology for not being present at your welcome party" I said regretfully.

"It's okay, I get it. Instead we were worried when you chose to stay in the room. We thought there was nothing because your face was so pale when you saw us."

"It's not. At that time I thought there was no one in the apartment besides me and Uncle Jhonny so I went out of the room without wearing my khimar. I get mixed up when you see my hair even though it's actually my fault."

"It's okay. It feels so good anyway. I haven't seen my Muslim friends since I was a volunteer medic in Palestine,"

"Let's go in first. We're talking inside!"

Just now Emma was about to pull my hand, but was stopped by Uncle Jhonny.

"No, no, no. Not now my dear, there are still some cakes we have to give to other neighbors, unless you want to come with us," obviously Uncle Jhonny made Emma tick while I just smiled.

There was a hidden intention.

"All right, I'm coming. Wait a minute okay. I'll save this tantalizing cake first," she explained, throwing a smile at me but turning into a sharp delicacy at Uncle Jhonny made me want to laugh out loud because of it.

"What the fuck is he?!" Uncle was upset when Emma walked into his apartment.

"Move out!!" [Soaring!!]

Emma nudges Uncle Jhonny as soon as he exits the apartment making the man cluck.

"Let's Arwaa," said Emma, pulling at my arm.

I wish I could be a good friend with him.

***

"Who are you going to give this cake to?" Ask Emma.

"Pulse... Seba?"

"NO!!" Uncle and Emma both surprised me.

"Ke... Why?"

"Kue for Seba just let Uncle give it later. He must be working at the moment. For now we just give the cake to others," explained Uncle Jhonny, who was adopted by Emma.

I hesitantly went along even though it was a little strange, as if they didn't want me to meet Seba.

What the hell is it?

"All right," I replied.

***

"What a great taste" said Emma, who was presented with a small pinch on her waist by Susan, a resident of Emma's apartment.

We chose to give Susan the next cake because based on information from Emma, Eric, residents of the apartment in front of Seba's apartment are working at this time.

"Not that you got it, why eat mine," Susan wry.

With a twist he kept my cake out of Emma's reach.

"Ei don't be stingy Susan, it'll be hard to be a match."

"Difficult how to mate. My man has got my soul mate. It's you and the old man," Susan made Uncle Jhonny who had closed her eyes next to me woke up.

"Why? Not that it was true," Emma chirped Susan while Uncle Jhonny snorted.

"You're wrong. I have a partner," said Uncle Jhonny, making the three of us look at him curiously.

"Who's Uncle? Stella?" I asked if Uncle was staring in disbelief at me.

"You're kidding Arwaa. That's right huh!"

"Have you met Stella?" Ask Emma.

"Yes, when I first came here."

"Wah amazing. Then, did he meet you?" Emma asked enthusiastically to make me frown.

"No. But he almost wants to attack Arwaa" said Uncle Jhonny.

"WHAAT?!"

Emma and Susan were suffocating to hear it.

"You're okay, right?" Susan looked at me worried that Emma was grumbling against Stella.

I don't know what's really going on between these guys and a woman named Stella. But he doesn't seem to be very welcome here.

"I'm fine..."

"Yes, because I was so tired, Arwaa turned to throw the suitcase so that my debate with the woman stopped, and it worked. He even dared to get Stella out of the apartment door. Not my nephew is this great?!" Obviously Uncle Jhonny patted my head.

"Aish what the fuck is this Uncle."

I stopped his hand, embarrassed. Uncle just chuckled in response.

"Truly yes he is, very shameless. I even remember when the ****** was running amok in the hospital where I worked."

"Why?" Ask wonder.

"She thought your Uncle cut her off for being in a relationship with me, just because she accidentally saw us both walk into the apartment building. Crazy right?"

I gaped in disbelief at Emma's explanation while Uncle just sighed. Maybe he was worried about remembering that incident again.

"I was with my husband, Tommy, even wondering where you could get to know that woman Jhon" Susan said.

Uncle Jhonny rubbed his face.

"Can we not talk about that woman?" [Can we not talk about that woman?]

"Why? He's your past, you might want to reminisce a little about him," Emma sneered and got a snort like Uncle Jhonny.

'Ting Tong's'

The four of you turned towards the entrance as soon as the bell rang.

"Your husband?" Ask Uncle to make sure that was answered by Susan.

"Nope. Tommy will be home this afternoon. There are a lot of people who are booking studios today" he explained.

The couple owns a music studio in the city centre.

"Let me see first" he continued, getting off the couch and going to the door.

"Could it be Stella?" Emma said with an expression made like fear.

"You're crazy!" Ketus Uncle made me and Emma chuckle.

"Let's go in!"

Susan's voice made us look back at the entrance.

The woman who had the butterfly tattoo on her shoulder walked in with a brown-haired man.

"Oh Eric you're here. What's up?" Smooch Emma as they approached made the man named Eric cluck.

"Why? I didn't need your permission to come here, did I," he said as he walked to the empty sofa next to Uncle, and Susan went to the kitchen with a bag that contained what it was

"It's so arrogant of you! I'm just messing around."

Emma throws a salty snack at Eric but manages to avoid it making the reddish-haired woman tickle.

"Have you come home at this hour?" Ask Uncle.

"Yes only half a day the restaurant opened because someone rented the restaurant later that night" Eric replied flatly.

I snorted as soon as our eyes met but I immediately nodded my greeting sign.

"Your nephew?" Asking while continuing to look at me made me a little uncomfortable.

"Yes and stop looking at him like that" said Uncle while Eric just flicked his shoulders in response.

"Hallo I'm Arwaa" I said, introducing myself.

"Eric" he answered.

"Oh I'm sorry that it was holding you," she explained again making me frown.

Ah looks like she's the one who held me back from falling that time.

"Ti's... No, I'm the one who apologized for my own carelessness and almost fell, "my ringis not good.

"No problem" he answered briefly.

I quickly took my eyes off her because the man kept looking at me making himself uncomfortable.

"I told you to stop looking at him!"

Uncle Jhonny ruffled Eric's hair making the man snort angrily at him.

"Stop. I just admire her beauty" Eric said, surprising me, not playing.

"HEY!"

Eric was suffocated as soon as Uncle Jhonny tried to lock his neck.

"Easy-after. Don't fuss here. Let's better eat this lasagna made by chef Eric," said Susan approached us while carrying a tray of food to make Uncle Jhonny release Eric.

"You're, you should be glad that someone admires your niece" snorted Eric, who was presented with a spoon toss by Emma.

"Aragh!" Briefly because the spoon fits on his forehead.

"Hehey listen to Eric. Arwaa is a Muslim so not just anyone can look at her like that. It's obvious what you did was gonna make her uncomfortable" Emma said.

"What do you know about that?" Eric Decak.

"You forget, I've been volunteering for almost 3 years in a Muslim-majority country. So of course I know, if only her husband and family can look at a Muslim woman for a long time."

"Then I will be her husband."

Everyone here was wide-eyed by Eric's words.

Same with me, so surprised because I don't understand what Eric means to talk like that.
