Daryl's Sunday Night

"We're going home, right?" Ardi and the other two friends prepare to leave.

Nania nodded her head.

"Said Sister Ara later there will be a black car coming to guard. Maybe it?" Nindy pointed to a black car parked right in front of the store.

They were looking in the same direction.

"Who do I feel? Even though the one that was just yesterday afternoon just saw the doang from across. Why is it overkill like gini?" Nania laughed.

"If for safety it seems not excessive? Because it's about life. We don't know what the bad guys are going to do. Not to mention there are valuable assets in the tavern that might catch their attention."

"Yes, I don't think Ara's sister will be that relaxed about her belongings, if there are any employees in danger."

"Hu'um."

"Oh yeah, we go first? If there was anything to shout, the guard must have acted immediately. Because if one of us nelson a distance. Haha." Raka.

Nania nodded again. Then the three friends left immediately.

The girl began to close the curtains on the window, and she almost locked the door of the tavern when another black car came and stopped right in front of the previous car.

The black rubicon that he recognizes as Daryl's.

Nania looked at the man who came down and then approached the car behind her. He knocked on the glass and said something so the driver took his car away.

Daryl turned his body, and with a fluffy smile looked at Nania who was still standing behind the glass door she almost locked.

"Brother want to come in?" The girl decided to open a gap. I don't know why he did that which he eventually regretted as well.

Of course it was like an invitation to Daryl, and he immediately broke through the door. Made Nania retreat because of it.

"Why is it closed? It's only nine?" Daryl saw his watch.

"It's a little quiet tonight." Nania answered.

"Tumbens? Usually it's crowded until night?" They walked towards the middle of the room, and Daryl took down the chair that had been cleaned.

"Maybe people decide to take a break on Sunday night?"

"Hmm .. true as well. But you usually have an acoustic show on Sunday night. Not anymore?" The man sat on the chair he had dropped off.

"Since Sister Ara the accident is no longer. Repot with four employees should not be such an event. Visitors sometimes suddenly become overwhelmed and difficult to control."

"Is that so?"

"Yes." Yeah."

Daryl nodded his head.

"Father from where? You came all the way here?" Nania shifted the subject.

"From home." Daryl replied calmly.

"From home?"

"Yes. Was about to go somewhere, but just past the fork turned here." The man chuckled.

Nania stunned. It was not usual for this man to be as calm and friendly as he was now. Because he saw Daryl more often who was angry and grumbling. And it's weird because he's used to Daryl's sniffy, sloppy way of talking.

"Would you like to eat?" Then that sentence was thrown from his mouth because he did not know what to talk to her about. Looks like this guy intends to stay longer there?

Daryl did not reply immediately, instead looking at the face of the girl in front of him.

"I mean, if you want to eat I make it all. I want to make food. I'm hungry." continued Nania.

"Umm... Can it be if not a hassle?" said the man.

"Do you want coffee too? Waiting for the food to cook?" bargain Nania again, and this time she ventured to smile even though it felt awkward.

"May." answered Daryl again.

Then Nania immediately did as she said. Make him a cup of black coffee without sugar just mixed with creamer as Daryl used to order, then next he made food for them.

A small castrol containing Nania's flavored rice was placed on the table after spending about an hour cooking it.

There were several pieces of grilled fish and fried tofu plus vegetable chalks that became a companion to their dinner that night.

"Have you ever eaten rice?" Nania sat in her chair.Β

He immediately picked up a plate and scooped up the rice from inside the castrol which let out hot steam with the aroma of traditional herbs and spices.

"It seems I've heard the name of the food. What is traditional food?"

Nania nodded as she placed the plate filled with rice in front of Daryl.

"From the smell it smells good!" The man took a spoon and scooped up a little rice for him to taste.

"It looks like I've eaten this once when visiting Bandung." He remembered something.

"To Bandung?"

"Yes, if you stay at home. Grandma often makes food like this, but there is sambal and lalapannya that. Plus dried fish that tastes like salt."

Nania laughs. "Isn't it salty?"

"That name is? Not the salt fish?"

"Not, it's called salted fish."

"I think it's called salt fish. It tastes like salt." The man chuckled.

"Yes indeed. This should be so too. There's sambel, lalapan, salted fish too. New good."

"Why did you make it like this?" Daryl took a piece of grilled fish which he then tasted as well.

"I think maybe people like you are not used to eating such food, so …."

"People like me?"

Nania nodded her head.

"What am I really like?"

The girl silently looked at him who was eating voraciously. Like he had never found food in his life.

"You know, it tastes good. It's called traditional food but I seem to fit in?" The man added his rice.

"Especially if there's a sauce, maybe better?" he said, then he chuckled.

Why is his heart so happy just like this?Β

"Yes, maybe next time I make the sauce." said Nania who was still comfortable seeing the man eat.

"Oh yeah, that would be great." Daryl focused on his food.

"You know, among my brothers, it seems like only I can eat anything without fear of getting sick or allergic. Brother Dim is not strong enough to eat spicy food. He'll be sick for days if he eats a little sambal. If Darren will experience severe allergies even though only a little seafood or food containing seafood. But I can eat all kinds of food without having any problems afterwards." The man told me.

"Omnivore." Nania mutters.

"What?" Daryl paused his eating.

"Father of omnivores."

"What is an omnivore?"

"Eating everything."

The man fell silent.

"Umm .. I mean …."

"You're right too, hahaha …." He laughed and continued his meal.

"You yourself, why not eat? Even watching me continue?" Daryl realized the girl who had been silent since.

"Huh? Eee …." Nania was wrong.

He tried to grab the spoon, but instead made it fall to the floor. Then he tried to take it but instead made his head hit the table. And after that many things fell down to make the quiet state of the tavern become a little rowdy because Daryl laughed out loud.

"Why are you so careless?" he said he helped the girl pick up things.

"Don't be afraid, I won't eat you even though my stomach is still hungry" she said, leading Nania to glance at the nearly empty castrol.

"Mr want me to make some more rice?" bargain later.

"No, this one's enough." But the man refused it.

"Should you say you're still hungry?"

"Yes, but it's not necessary."

"Seriously. If I want to make it again." Nania is about to move on, but Daryl holds her hand to stop her.

"No, sit down. You haven't eaten either?" he said, glancing at the plate of the girl whose food was still intact.

"But …."

"It's okay, eat yours first" he said, which brought Nania back to her seat.

Daryl switched briefly towards the showcase to pick up two bottles of soft drink. Then go back and put one of them in front of Nania.

"Now it's my turn to watch you eat after you've done it" said he, who pressed his back against the back of the chair, as he sipped his drink occasionally.

And it lasted a while, until then he restarted the conversation. Then everything just flowed as if they were already very familiar.

Daryl talks about many things, while Nania listens, and vice versa. Sometimes they laugh at something when there is something funny, then look for other topics so that togetherness does not stop. At midnight, Daryl realizes the girl is exhausted.

"All right, I think I should go home?" He drank his soft drink.

Nania nodded her head.

"You're gonna be okay here, right?" he said he got up when the black car looked back.

"I think so."

"Yeah." The man was silent for a while, but he took out his wallet and took out several pieces of fifty thousand bills.

"Not to be paid sir, consider me the deal." Nania refuses when Daryl puts the money away.

"There is no term for women to treat men. Not in my family."

"Ee .. I don't mean so, sorry. But …."

"It's to pay for the coffee and the drinks."

Nania looked at the money sheet.

"But mostly?"

"More consider it a tip because you've accompanied me to chat."

The girl is still silent.

"Take it, so that I don't feel hesitant if I ask for your help." His hand is still like that.

Nania finally accepted the money. After all, she needed it because she remembered her grandmother at home who might always be waiting for her arrival.

"Thank you sir."

"No." Daryl shook his head. "thank you. This time my Sunday night was a lot of fun" he said, then he smiled.

"Mm …."

"I'm good-natured." said the man as he retreated towards the door.

He got out and walked to his car. But turned around first to look back at the girl who was locking the door.

Daryl waved his hand before he finally entered and immediately left the place.
