Nannian Intentions

"Why your face?" Daryl couldn't help but care as he looked at the bruises on Nania's cheeks and the plaster on her eyebrows.

"It's okay sir." replied the girl who put down the lunchbox and arranged it as she used to do every day.

"You had an accident?" Daryl tilted his head to look at Nania more clearly.

"Just fall down." The girl answered.

"Fall down?"

"She fell down the stairs." He nodded his head.

"Why can you fall down the stairs?" Daryl kept asking.

"Yesterday cleaned up the house."

"Why did the house finish up like this? What are you cleaning up? Former wind tornado?" The man looked up, then laughed.

"It doesn't matter, sir." Nania sighed softly.

"Not important but to the point of being battered so? You cleared the dragon's nest?" Daryl sat on the couch and started eating.

Nania was silent for a while, but then she remembered to say goodbye immediately.

"Aren't you going to get me a drink?" The man said.

Nania exhaled while closing her eyes, then she immediately did as Daryl said.

"I'm sorry, sir." he said after believing everything he had done. Then turning his body meant to come out of the room.

The man pulled one end of his eyebrow up.

"Hey Nania?" But Daryl called her so that the girl stopped her steps.

"You have a problem? You don't seem okay?" Then he asked.

Nania was stunned for a while, yet she did not turn around.

"Hey, I'm asking you?" Daryl spoke again.

"It's not important, sir. Excuse me?" replied Nania who then completely left.

While Daryl was silent in his place staring at the girl's back until she disappeared behind the door.

"Hey, what's the matter?" he murmured, who then continued his eating.

...ΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩ...

"You have a problem?" Ardi shifted an ice bag to the front of Nania who had just finished delivering orders to visitors.

The shop was relaxed enough that they could sit in the pantry and talk for a moment.

"Nothing is." The girl grabbed the bag of ice and then pressed it against the bruised cheek.

This makes it better because it reduces the pain. It seemed like Hendrik's punch was hard enough that even though it had been last night he still felt pain.

"Seriously, you're quieter than usual and I'm starting to get suspicious?" Then the 20-year-old boy handed him a glass of pineapple juice.

"What are you talking about? Haha." Nania just laughed.

"Did something happen to you?" ask Ardi again.

"No, what the hell?" replied the girl again who then pulled the glass and sipped the contents in half.

"Hey, I've known you since the store opened. And it makes me recognize your habits and how you are doing everyday, so don't worry." Ardi.

"Nothing, why don't you believe it?" Nania laughed again.

"I've only seen you so differently since your father died?" Ardi did not want to give up and just believe.

"Mmm... Maybe that's where the problem is?" answer Nania later.

"What?"

"I just miss Dad." Nania with a choked voice.

Of course he misses his father a lot. They have always been together, and experienced many things together. Especially after the breakup with Mirna, and she was handed over to him after the mother got married again.

The man chose to remain single and raise her alone without a wife. Because Arshad is afraid that if he remarries, the child will feel excluded by the existence of others among them. Especially if there is another child from her marriage.

At least that's what the father said every time they talked and Nania told him to get married again.

But that man is right. They do not need the presence of any woman to continue to live because the proof is that father and son still feel happy even if only two.

They took care of each other and paid attention as if there was nothing else to do besides that. Arsyad is a good father and mother to Nania, so she has no need for anything other than her father.

Not to mention his lack of closeness with Mirna certainly makes Nania only look at Arshad as the only parent he has. And he did not know another figure who became his role model other than the father.

And the man's death clearly devastated her.

"Don't be sad!" Ardi stretched out his hand to pat the girl on the back.

"You have a reliable friend and a place to complain" he said, which made Nania smile.

"Your father is at peace with God. You have a family too, right? Your mother is still there, right? So what are you thinking?"

Then the smile disappeared from her tiny lips. The memories he remembered of Mirna were the worst, especially after they now lived together. I just want to get out of that house.

"Why?" Ardi asked again when he saw the look on his coworker's face changed.

"You think if for example I ask permission to stay here, Ara will give me permission?" Nania asked back.

"Why do you want to stay here?" Ardi wonders.

"Let deket. I'm tired of going back and forth to mom's house, far away." Nania reasoned.

"No idea, try asking yourself Ara's sister."

"If for example Brother Ara ngizinin, you have no problem?" Nania asked again.

"If I hadn't. Don't know the others."

"Raka, Nindy?" Then he called them both.

"Yes?"

"I want to ask for permission to stay here with Kaka Ara. If you're allowed to have a problem, right?" ask them.

Raka and Nindy looked at each other.

"Why do you want to stay here?" Nindy asked.

"Let's not go back and forth. My mother's house is far away." Same reason Nania threw.

"I'm okay, are you Ka?" nindy replied, then she turned to Raka.

"No, why should that be a problem?" Raka also answered.

"If I'm relieved, talk to Ara?"

The three coworkers nodded simultaneously.

"Yes Nna?" Amara turned her attention away from her laptop which was showing videos about pregnancy and childbirth.

"Can I ask permission?" Nania ventured.

"Izin for what?"

"If for example I want a residence permit here?"

Amara did not answer.

"Again Kak, just not until payday next month. Then I'm gonna go find a hostel around here."

"Why?" Amara.

"No why-why. Let's not go too far." Reply Nania as before.

"Surely this same shop your mother's house how far?" The woman asked.

"Lumayan. Sometimes I like being late." lamented Nania. He hopes that Amara will give him a residence permit in the tavern for a while. At least until he had other ideas about where to live and his grandmother.

"Can." Amara answered.

"Really Brother?"

"Yes, I don't live here, so it's okay if the room above you fills up?"

Nania with sparkling eyes.

"But talk to each other first, let it be equally delicious. I don't want to be considered favoritism, because the four of you are both my employees." Amara glanced at the other three employees.

"Sir, and they have no problem with that." The girl was excited.

"Tell?"

"Yes, brother, really."

"Yes already. When do you want to start sleeping here?" Then Amara asked.

"Maybe tomorrow, brother."

"Why not now?"

"I have to finish my clothes and talk to Grandma too."

"Oh …."

"It was going to invite Grandma too but .." Nania thought.

If she brought her grandmother to live there, there would definitely be many questions between Amara and her friends.

So the best solution is, he lived first in the store for a while until later had the ability to contract a room to live with his grandmother.

Yeah, looks like it's better.

"Why are your grandmother?" Amara asked again.

"Mm .. It's okay, brother. Just wanted to bring Grandma, but I don't think so."

"Yes, the problem is that there's only one room, so …."

"Yes Brother, about Grandma I thought later. What matters is that I get out of the house." The girl almost opened a secret that she sent herself

"What's? Get out of the house?" Amara looked suspiciously. "You have a problem with the house people?"

"Mmm .. no, I mean .. let it work that way. It's easier. If I have to stay late until night, I'm not afraid to go home." Nania immediately turned her attention.

"Ohh .. Yes, it's up to you. Good idea too."

"Here ... safe right?"

"Pure. I want nothing for a year."

"OK okay." The girl nodded her head.

"If I work again." Nania excitedly got up after the conversation was over.

"Yes, okay.'

The girl smiled cheerfully and she looked relieved.
