"I'm sorry." The red-haired girl wiped her wet eyes.

"I've been thinking about this carefully, and still we can't continue this relationship any longer" he said.

"You decided on me?" Daryl.

The clear circle came back from Grusha's beautiful eyes and he again rubbed it quickly.

"What's my fault?" Daryl then asked. He took two steps forward until now it was only half a meter away.

"No, you're not wrong. Just me."

The man looked at her with a frown.

"Is there anyone else? Just tell me, I'm fine. If that were what happened."

"No, Daryl!"

"Then why? Three months you disappeared and suddenly just showed up saying something like this? Where's your wits?"

"I just …."

"You don't know what I've done. Looking for you everywhere and preparing to introduce you to my family. Didn't I tell you that I'm serious about this relationship?"

Grusha nodded his head, yet he again sobbed. It was hard to make a decision but this he had to do to avoid greater pain especially for Daryl.

He knew the man loved him so much that there was never a single thing he hadn't done since they were romantically involved. And meeting her with her family became her biggest plan.

"Why did you end our relationship? What's?" Daryl shouted while shaking Grusha's body.

Anger of course immediately filled his chest cavity so he did not know what to do.

"I'm sorry" said the woman again.

"You just apologized but didn't explain anything. What exactly do you want?" shouted again.

"I. .. just don't want to make you disappointed and sad."

"You did it!"

"Sorry, Daryl!"

"Then why did you come back if your intention was just to end this relationship? Why don't you just die and make me remember you as my Grush? Isn't that a weak girl like this?"

Grusha closed his mouth tightly. He wanted to tell the truth but was afraid that the man would be hurt more. And what's more, Daryl will feel very sad.

"Said you? Good. After this I won't be looking for you again no matter what. Go as you please!!" said the man who took his hand off Grusha, then left.

"You've heard?" Darren comes to his twin brother in the library hallway.

The man had just obtained the book he needed to work on the thesis on this semester's assignment.

"What news?" Daryl frowned.

"Grusha."

"Well! I have no business with him. And I don't want any more business with him. We broke up, remember?" She laughs.

"No, this is different!"

"No, it's the same. I set him free and he did it to me first. Three months disappeared and suddenly just a month ago appeared and she broke off the relationship. You know how I feel?"

"Yeah, but there's something …."

"Stop, I don't want to hear anything more about Grusha, we're other people now. And I won't let myself hear anything else about him. You also know it's hard enough for me to get up."

"No, Daryl. Let me talk first!"

"I told you I don't want to hear anything anymore, so go!"

"You'll regret it after this."

"Yeah, right." He chuckles.

"I'm serious." Darren was serious.

"Ck!" The brother clucked while rolling his eyes.

"Let me finish first, then you decide for yourself."

Daryl snorted loudly.

"All right, say it quickly! Don't waste too much time on me or I'll beat you up!" he threatened Darren.

The younger brother looked at his face fixedly and he prepared to deliver the bad news he heard.

"Grusha …. Died." Darren with a choked voice.

Daryl froze. His mouth was tightly locked and he was speechless.

"So morning, in the hospital." continued Darren, as he had heard from someone looking for his brother's whereabouts, and by chance they met in front of the campus.

"Complications, end-stage leukemia."

Daryl felt his brain suddenly empty and could not remember anything other than the name of the red-haired girl who was able to steal his heart.

"Grusha?" he muttered, and he tried to draw his consciousness that had scattered.

"Der, if you want I can …."

"No, Grusha!!" The book in his hand fell down when at the same time he ran out.

There was nothing she thought about but the girl and everything they said when they last met a month ago.

His voice was sealed when Daryl and Darren arrived at a public cemetery in a suburb of Moscow. The flowers had even been sprinkled so that he could not see the ground that buried Grusha's body underneath.

And Daryl was unable to hold back his tears even though Darren had tried hard to calm him down.

"No, I promised I'd take you to my family, you know? But why are you doing this to me? I just wanted to talk at that time!" it's a mess, and some people are trying to pull him away.

...ΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩ...

Daryl opened his eyes in a state of immeasurable dizziness. The dream came again after a long while of disappearing and he was already fine. He had difficulty forgetting and trying to get up alone.

"Ah, fuck!" he fell down, and he rose up while he was pinching the hair on his head.

"Hhh .. Grusha, I gave you up. And I'm sorry for everything that happened. Everything I do and say. Calm down there." he murmured softly.

Just a cactus can make me remember him again? It was just his favorite plant, and it had nothing to do with anything.

Daryl dropped his head on the bed, and his mind went back to the time after Grusha's departure.

He who died of complications due to terminal leukemia he had just learned shortly before disappeared and made him confused looking. Which then appeared only to end their relationship, which he now understood as preparation for death. And Grusha did it just for fear of making her sad.

Daryl got off after cleaning himself up and without waiting for Nania to get dressed. She knew that she might be avoiding him right now because of the debate last night.

However, Daryl was stunned when he arrived downstairs and found his wife moving flowers from the beginning into a box.

"What are you doing?" he asked, and he walked over.

"Make this right." Nania answered.

"Why cleared?" He stared at the contents inside the cardboard which was mostly cactus. What he remembered was a small space filler on the window frame around the house.

"You're being moved to the greenhouse?" ask her again.

"No." answered Nania, short.

"Continue?"

"You are thrown away" he said, along with the arrival of a gardener.

"Where are the non-wants to be expelled?"

"In a moment, sir."

"Why banished?" Daryl reacts.

"Yes thrown away, rather than making you angry." Nania glanced at her husband.

"Lho's? It doesn't have to be thrown away." Daryl's approaching.

"Well, what's it doing? I will put the flowers of kayak gini continue to be stored in the house anyway so it looks beautiful. Eh but even make the residents angry, yes do not want to be. Every day you see cacti fighting, right before!" Nania with annoyance.

"Eee .. don't throw it away." The man took out a few pots of cactus then put them back in place.

"Dispose of it!"

"No need. Baby right? You said the cactus was funny." He continues what he does.

"Funny but sweet, keep us fighting." Nania took the cactus that Daryl had tidied up and then she put it back in the cardboard.

"No, Malyshka!! Let them in there, make our windows pretty, right?"

Nania fell silent, and the man kept returning the cacti to their place.

"You don't like cacti?" He muttered.

"Indeed."

"Certainly why even behind it again there? It's good to be thrown away."

"Don't play shit, just let it go. Dislike doesn't mean it has to be removed."

"Continue getting angry every time I bring a cactus home. Why?" Nania started asking.

"No why. It's just that I think this is a strange plant. Thorny, living in an arid place but can survive."

"Cactus now knows well!"

"Yes I know." He placed the last cactus on the window frame so that the place looked beautiful.

"show? The window of our house is so pretty" he said, shaking his head at the gardener as a gesture to the man to leave.

"But you don't like it."

"Maybe if you're used to seeing it I'd love it?"

Nania looked at her husband's face, who then smiled at him.

"Many things I still have to get used to. Maybe for someone else it's trivial, but for me it's quite difficult. It is like dyspraxia. But then again I have to compromise, right?"

Nania's heart that was originally upset now warmed up.

"It's okay, if for example we don't like to move the cactus. I'm okay." His voice wasn't as simple as it was.

"It's okay. Just let me get used to it."

"Related?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"Luck, Daddy! So sweet, I'm so moved." Nania immediately rushed into his arms.

Daryl chuckled and he felt relieved. Although it was actually a bit difficult because the object he did not like it would always remind him of the sadness of Grusha's death, but he had to try to put it aside for the sake of a smile on his wife's face.

Though not a big thing, but being one that can make Nania's eyes sparkle and smile cheerfully. Just like when he ate his favorite food and drink. And this should be an easy and fun thing.

Grusha's just the past, and he's gone. Nania is now her world. That should be his top priority, right?
