Different Atmosphere #2

Nania collapses in front of the closet when again she vomits. All the food that went into his stomach came back out like the days before. His body seemed to reject anything that came in and this time was completely unable to accept anything even though he had already forced it.

"Come on Nania!" He muttered and tried to stay awake even though he was no longer able to wake up.

"Miss?" Sofia comes back to check and finds her daughter-in-law sitting on the kitchen bathroom floor, leaning against the wall.

"Why?" And the woman approached him immediately.

"It's okay, Ma. I'm just dizzy." And Nania got up soon.

"We were waiting for you to eat together, but you didn't come." Then Sofia helped him move to the dining chair.

"Udah earlier, but even nausea." Nania answered.

"It must be from your stomach acid, right? You don't drink the medicine?" The woman gave him a glass of warm water which he took from the dispenser and then sat down with him.

"Udah. But it may be a little longer to normal. But it'll heal, too, Ma. Usually so." Nania downed her drinking water.

"Don't you take long? A quiet house if you are sad. We always worry." The woman touched his hand.

Nania nodded and she tried to smile.

"Sad and disappointed, but don't forget that life isn't just that. There's something else waiting for you that might be better than now."

"Yes Ma."

"Let's go to the big house? Gather together again as before so that your sorrow will be less." Sofia got up and took her away.

Nania was silent for a moment while looking at her in-laws.

He who is trying to raise his heart even though maybe the disappointment has not disappeared completely. His attitude was already ordinary but even made Nania feel even more embarrassed.

But there's nothing wrong with coming because he's also trying to figure out what happened, right?

"Come on." He then followed his in-laws outwards.

Yet again his steps came to a halt in the doorway and he felt hesitant to come out.

Her feet almost stepped on the porch but she paled when she recalled her husband's words.

"Why?" Sofia turned around when she realized Nania was left behind.

"Umm .. I think I'm dizzy." The woman reasoned.

"Dizziness?" Sofia returned home.

"Yes, dizziness. It's …."

"Yes, just rest. Gather it up tomorrow again." Sofia led him.

"Want Mama to take you to the room?" he nodded when he managed to deliver it.

"No need, just here. While waiting for Daryl to come home." And Nania immediately dropped herself on the sofa.

"All right then." And the in-laws fixed a pillow for her so she seemed comfortable.

"I'm sorry, Ma?"

"It's okay, just rest. Later if there is anything just call? Mama stay, okay?"

Nania nodded her head.

...ΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩ...

"Bapi, see?" The couple was standing by the middle room window that went back. And from there they could see Nania who was in the doorway at the end of the afternoon.

"What is he doing?" Sofia uncovers the curtain to make her pandagan more clear.

"Waiting Daryl?" Satria did the same.

Satria looked at Nania who was exactly what her wife had said.

The woman stood up, looked to the right and to the left while extending her legs, and at the moment of almost stepping on the porch she undoed her intentions. Then back into the house.

"Will he run away?" The man made a sound.

"Where is it possible? If you want to run away maybe Nania has done it from yesterday. But this is so continuing. Even going out doesn't seem like he's brave."

Then they saw Nania who was again in the doorway and now the son-in-law had really set foot on the outside terrace. Then in the next minute he stepped down and was outside the house.

Nania stopped for a moment. He looked around which the atmosphere had never been different from the previous days. Stay quiet, beautiful and peaceful.

But then she backed off and went back inside the house when she heard the car engine entering the yard, and it was her husband.

Both Sofia and Satria could only look at each other with foreboding thoughts.

...ΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩ...

"Nania still doesn't want to join?" Satria started the conversation when no one among the three of them spoke.

Even Daryl seemed to be eating quickly without pause like he was being chased by something.

The boy stopped and looked up at him. "No." she replied, briefly and she continued her eating activities.

"Aren't you asking?" Sofia ventured to talk.

"Why should I be invited? He's an adult, already knows what to do, doesn't he?"

Both of his parents seemed to be breathing slowly. It's not easy. Talking to those experiencing anger and disappointment like their son should be careful and completely calm. Otherwise, he might have misrespected and made her angry again.

"Stop, Son. Forgive Nania." Sofia touches Daryl's hand so that his son stops again, even though the food is only a little leftover.

"He's hurt, just like you. Any mother would feel sad if she lost a child because we were pregnant and felt her presence long before others. We were more tormented when that time came and nothing could compare to anything."

"Don't drag on like this, Der. Understand, because he might not understand our ways." Satria added.

Daryl did not say, but he quickly finished his meal.

"I'm done. Good night." he said.

Daryl got up and rushed back to his house. Both her parents looked at each other.

The house felt so quiet these few days, and the lights always went out even before it was late. The place was like it had no life when before it always felt warm.

The room is like a world without lights that is always dark every time Daryl enters it. But he forced to go home even though he felt reluctant.

Especially when he saw Nania who had been curled up under his blanket, as if she had fallen asleep. Daryl knew that she was still awake.

But at this time he did not want to disturb her at all because he remembered their interactions in recent days when Nania always looked scared when she approached.

While Nania waited with a thump under the darkness of the night. She put her blanket together, and bent her legs so she felt protected from what might happen tonight.

"Nenice?" Even Daryl's slow voice sounded terrible to him. Makes her hug her own body tightly.

"Nania, are you asleep?" asked Daryl who got into bed and approached to check on her condition.

But Nania did not respond at all. So the man abandoned his intention to speak, and he chose to lie down nearby.
