Chapter 9. Enlightenments

Vio cried with excitement at the thought of the kindness given by Jason. Pregnant women are very sensitive. Moreover, the current state of Vio that makes his feelings more sensitive.

When her own family dumped Vio while she was pregnant, there was a stranger who cared deeply. He hopes Jason's concern doesn't just disappear when he finds out that Vio is pregnant.

"I-I am moved by the kindness you have done to me. We never really knew each other!" vio exclaimed in the middle of sobs.

"Why do you care so much about me and want to help this nobody?"

"Hey, it is the duty of social beings like us to help others who are in trouble. Quickly finish your food! After that, we talk carefully from heart to heart." Jason smiled broadly displaying a row of his white teeth.

Finally, they returned to lunch quietly. When finished, the two chose to sit on the balcony of the apartment while enjoying the fresh breeze of spring. The rest of the sobbing made Vio's shoulder continue to move like one who was hiccuping.

"So, what's the problem with you?" jason asked, then took a sip of chamomile tea and put it back on the table.

"I'm pregnant" Vio replied briefly.

There was no look of surprise on Jason's face. He considered it common in the United States. Free association, narc*ba, and other social deviations are not taboo there. It was precisely now that she was astonished when she saw Vio who looked frustrated because of her pregnancy.

"Why? Regretted? Don't you and your boyfriend enjoy doing it?" A slanted smile was etched on the lips of that Hazel-eyed man.

A hard slap now landed on Jason's cheek. Vio's eyes began to get wet from enduring the sadness and anger. It turned out that Jason was the same as everyone else, who blamed him for this incident.

"If I were to have that kind of relationship with Mathew, I probably wouldn't be frustrated like this! I became like this because I did not have any intercourse with anyone and suddenly became pregnant!" vio exclaimed with a trembling voice holding back the cry.

"There must be something that can make you pregnant. It can be explained logically!" Now Jason looked seriously at the woman who was now starting to shed those tears.

"Be prepared! We're going to the hospital now!" Jason walked up from the chair followed by Vio trailing behind him.

The two of them finally came to the hospital where Vio confirmed her pregnancy first. It just so happened that the doctor on duty was Matheo. She was the first doctor to examine her pregnancy.

"So, you're maintaining that content? A wise decision!" Theo smiled broadly then began to open the map containing Vio's medical records.

"Doc, can a person get pregnant without having intercourse?" ask Jason straight to the point.

"Of course you can. Some same-sex women always come here to consult before doing a baby tube program. Technology is so advanced now! Women can conceive without intercourse if they want to."

Jason turned to look at Vio. The woman seemed confused by the doctor's explanation. His gaze could not be separated from Theo, and his two eyebrows were interlocked.

"But I've never done a baby tube program, either, Doc. Then how could a fetus enter my womb?" ask Vio.

"really? It's weird!" Theo rubbed his chin and advanced his lips.

"Baby tube procedures require permission from the future mother, so you should know this." Mathew tried to explain the procedure for the baby tube.

Big question marks started filling Vio's mind. His head felt throbbing because it was difficult to understand everything. But he can't do anything.

Vio had already taken the decision to accept the baby, because God granted his wish to stay alive when his life was on the edge of danger. Finally, Vio and Jason walked out of the room with mixed feelings.

There is a little light, why Vio can get pregnant. However, at the same time a big question arises. How could she have undergone a tube baby program, while never planning one?

"Miss!" call a young woman in a nurse's uniform.

Vio and Jason stopped their steps. The nurse approached Vio and began to introduce herself. They finally decided to chat in the hospital cafeteria.

"What's wrong?" ask Vio in a flat tone.

"I know, why you could be pregnant!" Debby's eyes looked fiery and looked so convincing.

Hearing Debby's confession, of course, made Vio stumble. The woman starts leaning toward Debby. Vio's eyes are breaking, ready to hear Debby's confession.

"About two months ago, you were brought here by a man in a stupor. A fertility doctor will treat you. Coincidentally, I helped him."

"I'm still confused. Get to the point!" snapped Vio frustrated.

Jason grabbed Vio's shoulder, then rubbed it gently. "Let him finish his words first, Vio. Be patient."

"To my knowledge, doctors inject embryos into your uterus. Based on the data that I read at a glance, you are willing to be a surrogate mother for the baby."

Vio got up from the chair and then kicked down the table. His eyes stared hard at Debby. Jason forces Vio to sit back and calm the woman as much as possible.

"I never even once agreed to that! This is a misuse of data!"

"Vio, tenanhlah first. We can take things slow." Jason kept trying to calm Vio down.

"If we may know, who is the man who brought Vio here?" jason asked in a soft voice.

"I know less. But, the man had curly hair about 6 feet tall." Debby raised her arm to describe the mysterious man's height.

"Is there a more specific feature?" lick Jason.

"Ah, ada! He has a birthmark on his right wrist!"

Hearing the physical characteristics of the man mentioned by Debby, making Vio back up from the chair. He walked quickly towards the exit. Jason kept calling her, but Vio ignored the man.

"Thank you for the information, Sus. I'll go first!" Jason immediately chased after Vio who continued to quickly leave the cafeteria.

When Jason caught up with Vio, the man pulled his arm. Automatic Vio stop step. His face looked crimson with a stingy breath.

"Why are you, Vio?"

"I already know who did this to me!"

"What exactly?" Jason frowned.

"Mathews! He must have done this to me! I have to meet him to ask for an explanation!" exciting Vio.

"Let me take you!"

The two go to Mathew's apartment. Arriving there. Vio keeps pressing the Mathew apartment unit button. However, there is no answer.

"Are you looking for Mathew?" ask a woman in her 60s.

Vio and Jason looked over. The woman approached and explained that Mathew had left yesterday. According to his description, Mathew left a few hours after being caught by Vio.

"Damn!" vio's curse while hitting the air.
