The Secret of Violetta's Pregnancy

The Secret of Violetta's Pregnancy
Chapters 14. First Warning

"You've earned a lot of money from me, just keeping one pregnant woman can't?" The voice of the man on the other end of the phone made Jason rub a rough face.

"Sorry, Sir. I ...." Not yet had time to answer, Jason's speech was cut by the person who had called him.

"Don't let this happen again! Even if he's on the wrong side, you should close your eyes! If he and the baby are okay, I'm going to smash your nearly bankrupt cafe!"

The phone call stopped. Jason stared intently at his phone. The man actually really wanted to slam the flat object.

Jason, however, relinquished his intentions. If the phone breaks, it means he has to buy a new one. His current condition makes the man have to be careful with spending. If not, then his life will be ruined.

At Theo's house, Irene who still looked angry was sitting on her back in the living room. Vio's presence really made the woman's heart hot. What Vio was going through now, was his wish for a long time.

"Hey, listen to me, honey." Theo tried to persuade his wife to stop sulking.

"Listen to what else? You always tell me all the pregnancies of your patients! It makes me sick and depressed! Especially since you handled this woman! Almost every day you tell me about her fetal development!" Irene stared at Violetta cynically from toe to head.

"If you really love me, you shouldn't bring all the stories of your pregnant patients home! Even tonight you bring him home! What do you mean, Theo?" Now Irene's gaze turned to her husband.

"I'm sorry, he was in trouble in the middle of the road. So, I'm trying to help her. Come on, just let him stay here last night" Theo said.

"No! Take him home! I won't let another woman stay under one roof with me!" Irene then walked out of the living room.

"Irene! Wait, Honey!" Matheo tries to prevent the wife from leaving, but Vio prevents her.

"Yes, Doc. Just take me home. I just press my pride and ego to get in and beg Jason to accept me in his apartment." Vio smiled wryly.

Things really forced Vio to act like a beggar. He's like a scapegoat for his coworker's crimes. After today, he would be more wary of strangers being nice.

Vio was afraid that they would be kind only to trap and destroy him. Just like Evan did today. Vio was still inexhaustible as to why the man would have set him up on the day they first met.

"Then I'll take you home, okay? I apologize once again for Irene's attitude."

"I totally understand how she feels, Doc" said Vio.

"She should hear her husband telling her the pregnancy stories of patients all the time. I understand how you feel, Doc. Must be heavy. Every day dealing with pregnant women, even though you are struggling for the presence of a baby."

"Thank you for your attention. Come on, I'm back home now!"

The two of them left the house and left Matheo's residence. From behind the window of the room, Iris stared at the dislike of the car that was slowly moving away from her sight. Her jaw hardened strongly with eyes that stared dislikely at the vehicle of the husband.

"I should have carried the baby! Not you!"

The clock shows at 23:30 when Vio gets in front of Jason's apartment. He got out of the car and said goodbye to Matheo. Vio had just walked into the apartment building after Theo disappeared from his sight.

Vio seemed to think as the elevator doors opened. He hesitated whether to get out of there and knock on the door of the apartment, or just let the elevator back shut. Finally, within seconds Vio decided to completely suppress his ego.

The sound of Vio's footsteps echoed in the already silent hallway of the apartment. When he was at the end of the hall, he stopped his steps. The woman stared at the door in front of her, then pressed the bell.

"May you still want to allow me to stay here for a while, Jason."

Vio pressed the bell again because there was no answer. Her heart ached as Jason ignored her. Tears of the rampage began to spread.

The woman crouched down then drowned her face into the palm of the hand. He started crying. Even every second, her cries grew louder.

"You have the heart, Jason! Let this pregnant woman hang on the streets!"

Vio stood up again. He looked at the door that was still tightly closed. The woman clenched her head again and banged on the door to get Jason to open the apartment for her.

"I'll bang this door down if I have to! Go Jason! Open door! Or I'll break this door down!" yelled Vio frustrated.

"Why you?"

Jason's voice made Vio stop screaming. Vio looked back. Jason was carrying groceries while looking at him in confusion.

"Hey, Vio. You why?" ask Jason again.

"You're evil!" vio then cried hysterically.

The woman cried so much that it made Jason panic. He looked to his right and left to make sure no one had witnessed this. After that, Jason immediately opened the apartment door and pulled Vio's arm.

After putting the groceries on the kitchen table, Jason took out a bottle of mineral water and handed it to Vio. The woman took it slowly. After Vio looked a little calm, Jason began to open the conversation.

"What's wrong? Why are you crying?"

"Why, why! You look so calm! When I got out of the cafe, I actually wanted you to chase after me! To prevent me from getting out of there!" Vio began to express his disappointment.

"Even you look relaxed and even shop at will, without looking for me!" vio exclaimed among the rest of the sobs.

"Hey, sorry. I thought you'd be okay and definitely go home because you didn't know where to go." Jason smiled silly and made Vio back in tears.

"You're a bad guy, Jason!"

Jason chuckled at Vio who was sulking. He finally hugged Vio's body and patted his back slowly. The beautiful woman was crying until she was satisfied in Jason's arms.

Shortly after, Vio's stomach voice sounded. The twisting feeling began to be felt by the pregnant woman because the last she ate was in the afternoon when the break. Jason immediately let go of his embrace, then clasped Vio's upper arm.

"You hungry?" jason asked as he lowered his head to look at Vio's face.

"You think?" Vio still blicked his lips.

"What do you want to eat?"

"Apple pie and milk," Vio answered briefly among the rest of the sobs.

"Are you able to sleep soundly by just eating a piece of pie?"

"Who said I just ate it a piece!" Vio threw his face away while folding his arms in front of his chest.

"All right, wait here for a second. I'll make it for you." Jason smiled faintly, then stepped into the kitchen.

Coincidentally that day Jason had a stock of pie skins. He just made the stuffing, and roasted it into the microwave. So, it only takes about 30 minutes to make that food.

While waiting for Pai to mature, Jason approached Vio to invite him to a chat. However, a silly smile was engraved on Jason's lips when he found the prospective interlocutor was already curled up on the sofa with his eyes closed.
