Chapter 29. Quickest

Jason bowed lethargicly, preparing to receive a maki curse from Vio. Sweat now drenched his palms. His heart was beating so fast. He's done with what's coming next.

The sound of breath could be heard coming out from Vio's lips. The woman got up from the sofa, then went into the room, and put the Baby Kiwi into her baby basket. Jason frowned at the sight of Vio's usual attitude.

After dropping the baby kiwi into the baby basket, Vio came out of the room, opened the food cooler, and took two cans of fizzy drink. She went back to Jason, and gave the husband a can of drink.

"Darling, I actually know it all." Vio smiled gently and looked at the husband.

"What! D-where did you know?" Kason's eyes rounded perfectly because he did not think that it turns out that Vio already knows all about Theo and himself.

Vio opened the lid of the can, the sound of soda froth was hissing due to the carbonation reaction. Vio straightened the drink slowly, then placed the can onto the table. She smiled faintly at Jason and began to tell him what Rose had told her.

"A few days after we went here, Dr. Theo went to see his aunt. He threatened her, almost killed her. Auntie didn't say where we are now. He counsels Doctor Theo with many things." Vio began to tell me everything Rose had told him.

"Why doesn't anyone tell me all this!" jason was upset.

"Auntie knows your attitude. If you find out, without thinking, you'll go back to Missouri and kill Doctor Theo with your own hands." Vio chuckled as he looked at Jason's expression that was getting hot.

Jason rubbed his rough face and looked at his wife. He did not expect Vio to be a very patient woman. Even the woman had been acting ordinary, like she did not know anything about her lies.

"Auntie told me everything. He told me all about you, your work, your initial intentions approaching me, until there was so much disgrace and your ridiculous habit." Vio chuckled as he remembered many things about Rose's story a few months ago.

"Vio, why aren't you angry that I lied to you?"

"I was mad at you at first, Jason. So angry!" Vio folded his arms in front of his chest while throwing a sharp glare at the husband.

"But, after thinking with a cold head. We meet, get acquainted, like each other, and now live together."

"Vio ...." Jason's heart seemed to be poured with ice water because he heard the words of his wife.

Jason was really moved by it all. His love for Vio is getting stronger. He promised not to make the beautiful woman suffer.

"Did you know that Mama Anna was my mother?"

This time Vio's eyes widened. Looking at the woman's expression, it certainly hinted that this time Vio was not aware of that fact. Vio only finds out that Jason is approaching him for wanting revenge on Anna without knowing his main motive. Jason began to tell me everything.

"I told you, didn't I get taken care of by Aunt Rose from birth?"

Vio nodded. His eyes can not be separated from Jason who is now staring at the ceiling of the apartment. The woman was preparing to hear the past story of her husband that she did not know yet.

"Mother left me for pursuing another ambition. She was eager to become a beauty doctor and pursue the love of one of the great businessmen of Missouri at the time." Jason smiled wryly then turned his eyes to Vio.

"And you know who that guy is?" Jason tilted his head while smiling wryly.

Vio's heart was racing. She suspects that her father is what Jason meant. Vio gulped roughly, and subconsciously held his breath as he waited for the next sentence that came out of Jason's lips.

"Dad Mathew, was the man my mother originally targeted."

"Then, why is Mama Anna now my papa's wife?"

"Because of the grudge," Jason briefly replied with a serious look.

"Rudge?" It felt like things were getting complicated for Vio.

"Yes, my husband was bankrupt because many investors turned to your papa company. Mathew's father suffered a heart attack and later died. I assume this is all your father's fault" Jason explained.

"How could Mom think that? Isn't it common when an entrepreneur goes bankrupt? I really didn't expect mama to have such a short thought."

"Your mother committed many sins in order to avenge your father. Including trying to kill your real mother."

"What!" vio exclaims for not expecting that his mother's death involves Anna.

"Even your father is now in danger. But, take it easy .. I've put one of my confidants there to take care of your papa. He foiled every plan mama made to finish off papa."

Vio rubbed a rough face. A sense of vengeance began to appear in Vio's heart. There is even an intention to avenge all the actions of the stepmother someday.

"That's it, it's all just the past. Let's focus on our lives. Raising a Baby Kiwi and carrying out the role of parent as best as possible." Jason clasped Vio's fingers while smiling faintly.

"Jason, you're right. I don't think I need papa's treasure. There's been you and Baby Kiwi beside me, I think that's enough." Jason's words were able to flush out the anger that was flaring in Vio's chest.

Vio thought, if it continues to wallow in revenge and the past will make his life more complicated and unsettled. Moreover, that grudge would be continuous and would be endless if it were to be passed on.

Jason pulled Vio's arm and hugged his wife tightly. He spilled all his affection towards Vio with dozens of kisses on the woman's white neck. The gratitude Jason now said to God for having gotten a wife as good as Vio.

"Oh yeah, honey." Vio let go of Jason's embrace, then looked into her husband's eyes.

"We haven't given a name to Baby Kiwi."

Jason patted the forehead. He forgot that his beloved son did not have a name. Jason seemed to rub his chin thinking of the right name for Baby Kiwi.

"How about the city give him Javier's name. Jason Violetta and -er are elements of the name that our son has" Vio suggested.

Jason just nodded in agreement. He would agree to whatever Vio liked as long as it was good. The atmosphere turned silent.

Jason drew his face closer to his wife's face and looked into the eyes of the woman he loved so much. Jason rubbed his wife's cheek gently, and landed a kiss on Vio's lips.

The kiss was getting hotter and longer. The breaths of the two hunted each other down. The desire started to overflow. However, Javier's cries made the two stop the hot kiss.

"I forgot I had to keep him for the next 40 days. To Javier remind us!" Jason smiled slightly with his forehead still attached to Vio's forehead.

Vio blushed. What my husband said was right. Even he was almost swept away in the atmosphere.

"Then I calm Javier down. Just be patient in a minute, honey." Vio closed his conversation with a gentle kiss on the husband's lips.
