Chapter 39. Almost Kidnapped

Jason hit Matheo blindly in the face. The man's face began to turn blue and drops of blood started to come out due to the scuffed skin. Jason continued to land the blow without reproaching Theo for retaliating or just getting up from the asphalt.

Javier who witnessed the incident finally rushed to open the car door. The boy immediately shouted as loud as he could to stop the father.

"Daddy! Stopit! Don't hit Uncle again!" yelled Javier with fingers firmly clenched at the side of the body.

Hearing the screams from the son, of course, made Jason stop. His fist was now hanging in the air. He looked towards the source of the voice.

And Vio and Matheo as well. They were all staring at Javier who was starting to shed tears. Vio immediately ran towards Javier and hugged his son.

Vio's heart was like being dyed with ice water. Seeing Javier was fine of course made his feelings very relieved. Vio lets go of his arms and then checks every inch of Javier's body to make sure the son is unharmed.

"Javy, are you okay? Where are you from? Why leave school without permission from your homeroom teacher? Mommy and Daddy are so worried!" Vio summarized the face of the son while covered in tears.

"I feel so sorry, Mommy. Javier jumped the fence because he missed Uncle." Javier looked at Matheo who was sitting limp on the asphalt.

Javier ran towards Matheo. He looked at the face of the father who was now battered while grimacing to imagine the pain experienced by Theo. Javier reached into his pants pocket and took out a handkerchief to wipe away the blood that ran down the corner of Theo's lips.

"It must be very painful, Uncle. Forgive Daddy, will you? She must be worried about not being able to find me in school. I'm really a wayward kid, aren't I?" Javier again let out a sobbing.

Matheo also immediately grabbed Javier's fat body. Getting a hug from the biological father made the boy's cry even more broken. His body shook from crying.

"Hey, Boy! Uncle is okay. Everything will improve in a few days." Matheo carried Javier's body then looked at Vio and Jason with a cold gaze.

"I know you must be panicking. Please think coldly before acting. You should have asked me nicely. Just go in first. Let's talk about everything inside."

Vio grabbed the husband's arm then nodded as their eyes clashed. Jason took a deep breath and then exhaled slowly. There was a sense of sadness and regret that slipped into his heart when he saw the son crying as he pleased.

Both of them followed behind Matheo. Arriving inside Matheo's house, they all sat in the living room. Javier seemed engrossed in playing with the puzzle that Theo had just bought.

"Drink!" Theo asked the two people in front of him to drink the tea he had prepared.

After sipping tea made by Theo, Vio also suppressed his emotions. He began to ask why Javier could be with the man. Before explaining everything to Vio and Jason, Theo took a deep breath and exhaled violently.

"I've done something evil. But, the bad guys aren't always going to be the bad guys." Theo smiled wryly as he stared flatly at the two people who were now sitting opposite him.

"I don't know how Javier got out of school without his permission. However, I accidentally passed in front of a mini market near the school. Javier seemed to be crying from being forced in by two people I think you know him as well." Matheo tries to explain the chronology of how Javier was able to be with him.

"Uncle and aunty are evil! He said a lot of bad things about Daddy and Mommy!" chirp Javier without taking his eyes off the puzzle he's playing.

Vio got up from the sofa and approached the son. He wanted to listen to all the chronologies from Javier's point of view. Instead of not believing in Matheo, he just wanted to connect the stories of the two of them.

"Yes, Mommy. The back of the school fence has several holes. I saw a couple of upperclassmen coming out of there to catch a snack outside the school cafeteria during break."

"Then Javy imitated that bad deed?" Vio squinted his eyes when he suspected the despicable deeds of the son.

Hearing the question from the mother suddenly made Javier stop his activities. He immediately looked at the mother at a glance, then lowered his head. The boy's fingers began to squeeze the pants that wrapped his lower body.

"Sorry, Mommy."

"Never repeat that, okay?" Javier nodded obediently then Vio hugged the son lovingly.

"So who are these two?" Jason finally opened his voice to question Matheo.

"Your former worker."

Jason frowned. He tried to dig up his memory. During running an information buying and selling organization, he never fired employees at all.

All Jason's problems are finding shortcuts to not fire the organization's members. After failing to remember who Matheo was referring to, Jason finally gave up. He shook his head while raising his shoulders.

"I never fired my employees. But ...." Suddenly Jason fell silent with wide eyes.

"God! So them?" Jason patted his forehead as his memory returned abruptly.

"Who, Jason?"

"You remember Evan and Monica?"

Vio's eyes were perfectly rounded to hear the names of the two people. They are two people who accidentally trapped Vio while working at Jason's cafe. Vio did not expect the two would have bad intentions to Javier.

"Lali, where are the two of them now?" ask Jason in flames.

"I've taken them to the police station. Before approaching Javier, I called the police and they were caught" Matheo said.

"Let's go there now!"
