Chapter 22. Can't Be Far

Hearing Vio's request, of course Anna immediately nodded quickly. She got off the couch and walked first to her husband's room. Jason and Vio followed the woman from behind.

When she reached the door of the room, Anna stopped her steps. She turned around, looking at her daughter to make sure that Vio would be fine after seeing her husband.

"Prepare your heart, Vio." Anna's fingers are now holding the door.

Vio stared in front of his father's room. His heart is beating fast. He could not imagine how his father was doing right now.

As the room door opened, Vio's legs became limp. Jason who was behind him swiftly caught the body of the woman. Vio's heart trembled at the father's seemingly apprehensive condition.

Jhonson's body is plastered with a lot of medical aids. Heart rate detection devices emit a special sound that can break the silence. A clear fluid-filled pouch hangs on an infusion pole hook with a dangling hose, and is connected to the man's hand with a needle.

"Papa," said Vio in a quivering voice.

Anna began to step in and then pulled the chair beside the bed. The woman waved at Vio, then patted the chair. Vio stepped up slowly with the help of Jason.

"Sit, Vio. Even though your father is closed, he can still hear every word you say. Hopefully with your presence here, your father will wake up soon."

Vio landed his ass on the chair. He began to grasp Jason's fingers, whose skin began to wrinkle due to age. Tear drops wet the cheeks of women who were pregnant for 5 months.

"Pa, wakeup. I'm sorry, because Vio can't be Papa's pride." Sobs began to escape Vio's lips

"Pa, Papa knows. Vio really didn't break the promise to mom. Mathew made Vio pregnant. He rented my uterus to someone else by faking Vio.”'s signature Vio smiled wryly among the cries.

"But, Vio will fight for this child. If that person had come to take this baby, Vio would never have given this baby. He's already a part of Vio's life. He lives with Vio's blood and eats from my body." Vio gently rubbed his twitching stomach.

As if hearing Vio's words, Jhonson shed tears. Vio also took the tissue on the nightstand, then wiped the tears of the father. Vio felt that Jhonson had understood now, the woman was a little more relieved.

"Hey, why are you crying, Pa? Come, awake! Papa can get through this. Don't you want to see your grandson born?" Vio smiled widely, but tears kept flooding his beautiful face.

That conversation went on for quite a while. Jason had to go outside that room because he got a call from Matheo. The man hurried to pick up the call.

"I don't want Vio out of your sight! Get him back to the apartment! Remember, don't do anything! Listen to this ...."

A momentary silent voice. Shortly thereafter, Theo began to hear him talking to someone on the other end of the phone. A second later the familiar female voice greeted Jason's hearing.

"Jason, how are you? Thank you for sending a lot of groceries to Auntie through your friend! You are a good boy! I heard your friend is a doctor? She also gave Auntie some medicine to deal with the vertigo I've been experiencing lately. Even she promised a discount if Aunt checked herself in the hospital where she worked!"

Jason's jaw hardened instantly. She did not expect that Theo would dare to use her aunt to threaten her. He could only listen to his aunt who kept praising Matheo.

"Good, paiku! It's been a while, huh? Auntie's baking a pie to take home with your friend."

There was a little laughter and conversation coming from the other end of the phone. Soon, Matheo spoke to Jason. Jason's brows fused with an increasingly sharp gaze.

"What do you think? Aren't I good at business?" There was an explosion of laughter that made Jason even more furious.

Hearing Jason's cry, it made Matheo even more bitter. Jason continued to curse and asked in a high tone so that Theo would not see his aunt again. However, Theo is not his name if he obeys Jason's words. Here he is the game's control, not Jason.

"I think I should go back home. I can't go with you back to the apartment."

Suddenly Jason gulped a rough saliva. Just now he had received a threat from Matheo, and now Vio took a very astounding decision. Jason also had to rack his brain so that Vio would stay home and be in his custody.

"Can you stay with me, Vio?" Jason's shoulders slumped with his head lowered at the end of the shoe.

"Why?"

"I. .. I can't if I have to stop staring at you for a second." Jason stared at Vio.

Hearing Jason's words certainly made Vio stunned. He's looking for lies on Jason's face. However, what the man said was truly sincere.

"Go home with him!"

Vio and Jason, turned towards the source of the sound. Anna was leaning her arm against the door frame of Jhonson's room. The woman smiled gently, then walked over to the princess and Jason.

"Mama will report on your papa's progress. Where's your phone number?" Anna began typing a row of numbers called Vio into the flat object.

"All right, let's have dinner first. After this, you can go home."

They went down the stairs to the dining table. Jason was silent when he saw Vio and Anna talking. Jason was struggling with his own thoughts.

Thinking of a way to escape Matheo's surveillance. He tries to recall the day Theo met him at the cafe. After successfully recalling everything, Jason was turned upside down instantly.

Jason will make sure of something by meeting one of his friends who knows about technology. After finding out how Matheo was watching him, he immediately took Vio and his aunt away from Missouri.
