The OVERPROTECTIVE Man's

The OVERPROTECTIVE Man's
Chapter 80's

Sean stared at the laptop in front of him which showed a graph with many lines in it. Sean meticulously stared and occasionally danced his finger on the keypad.

Until finally the ringing of the mobile phone interrupted its activities. Sean picks up his phone with the origin, instantly picking it up without seeing the caller's id.

"Hello."

"Mrs. Romanov, I Thomas want to tell you the lab results are out" Thomas said from across the street.

Sean was immediately aghast, his eyes no longer staring at his laptop. "I'll be there." said Sean.

"Good."

Phone connection disconnected. Sean hurriedly got up from his chair, put on his suit and walked out of his room. He got into the elevator and was swallowed by the iron door.

Sean steps quickly down the lobby and magically, he catches the figure of Valerie who just came to work.

Valerie gasped as she saw Sean's figure stepping towards her. Sean looked at Valerie who was going in the opposite direction to him.

Valerie tries to be ordinary, until they finally cross paths, Valerie looks down respectfully and Sean continues his steps out of the building.

Likewise Valerie, she continued her steps towards the elevator as if nothing had happened between them, like not knowing each other.

"It seems something strange." Inner Vale.

"I'll ask Sean later." his inner self again tries to get rid of prejudice.

Sean stared at the computer screen showing pictures he did not understand.

"That water we've never met before. I can say this is new research for us. I can say the guy who made this is a real genius." Thomas stared at the computer screen.

"What's the use of it?" ask Sean.

"Making you live like a dead man" Thomas replied, staring at Sean.

Sean looked at Thomas with a surprised face. "It can be said like the fairy tale Sleeping Beauty, but in medicine this is called paralysis. In short, this fluid paralyzes all of your mother's limbs, even to the point of not being able to open her own eyes" Thomas said at length.

Sean was silent, but his jaw tightened and his hand clenched. "So this liquid that kept my mom from waking up all this time?" ask Sean.

"really. They made your mother an undead."

Sean really did not expect, he had been fooled all along. Her mother had been lying in a hospital bed with medical aids all this time, and it was all because of her father and grandfather.

"Is my mother still curable?" sean looked at Thomas with a hopeful face.

Thomas was silent for a moment, then opened his voice. "This is a new case for us. If your mother is treated in this place, we can investigate further and try to find a cure" Thomas said.

Sean breathed a sigh of relief, yet something felt awkward in his brain. Sean tried to twist and reassemble something that felt stuck.

"So soon, isn't there something strange?" sean looked at Thomas with a pensive look.

"What's wrong?" ask Thomas.

"The water was injected not just once, but repeatedly" Sean said. Thomas looked at Sean with a frown and finally he began to understand the direction Sean was talking.

"What's possible, the liquid has a time limit, then injected again so that the effect appears again" said Sean.

Thomas's eyes widened. He looked back at the components contained in the liquid.

Thomas looked back at Sean. "Maybe right. Slowly the drug reaction begins to disappear and must be reinjected. However, looking at the compound of its composition, although your mother is aware, most likely she will experience paralysis. Whether temporary or permanent, we can only find out if your mother has been checked" Thomas said.

A bright spot. Sean still has hope to see his mother again. Sean squeezed his hand with confidence.

"I'm gonna figure out a way to get my mom out of Russia" Sean said.

Thomas nodded. "After this, we may be making a new breakthrough from this rare case" Thomas said.

"We will prepare the best tools for this research. My mother's recovery was the best achievement for my team" Thomas said, throwing a warm smile.

Sean stepped inside his car parked neatly in the Basement. Sean unlocks his phone after he sits in the driver's seat and finds a message from Valerie.

Sean smiled briefly, then opened the message.

Sean, I saw you coming out in a hurry, what's up? Did something happen?

Sean smiled warmly at the message. He did not expect to make the woman worried. Sean typed in to reply to a message from Valerie.

I miss you, I want to see you.

Valerie who received the message frowned in surprise. Instead of answering her question, the man replied with a sweet speech like this, making Valerie blush.

I just came to work, it's impossible to just get out.

Sean returned.

What is impossible? That's my company.

Valerie snorted at Sean's message. He retaliated.

Let's meet at the office. Baby and I want to eat sushi, get over here! Adios.

Valerie smiled amusedly, then put her phone on the table. Unostentatious. Valerie just wants Sean to make her happy, and vice versa.

Sean who saw the message smiled with excitement. Valerie cravings and somehow it makes her smile happily. For the first time Sean is useful to be a father.

Sean starts the engine of his car, then drives to his company.

At 1pm. Valerie stared at her wall clock for a bit, then stretched her stiff muscles. Valerie twisted her sore neck and her hand that had been struggling on the keyboard. Not to mention his tired and dry eyes.

A short ringtone from his phone, which means an incoming message. Valerie opened the message.

It's lunch time, stop working baby!

The arch came back up at the end of his lips. Valerie couldn't help but smile broadly. His fingers danced over his phone screen.

Ready bos🤭

Goody. Come up here, the Sushi you ordered is coming.

Valerie gaped happily. Sean actually ordered sushi, but the man was allergic to some seafood. Sean must have picked it right so he could eat it.

I'll be here soon.

Vale smiled as he stood up. Tidy up the files so as not to be scattered, then stepped out of his room into Sean's room.

Valerie walked out of the elevator, looking down at Brenda's empty table. Valerie continued her steps and walked into Sean's room just like that.

Valerie's eyes immediately sparkled staring at the sushi array on the table. Valerie took a quick step and looked at the sushi in awe.

Sean who saw it just smiled amusedly. "Sit down!" Valerie immediately sat next to Sean still staring at the sushi.

"Remember, eat what you can eat!" sean's words were immediately answered by an enthusiastic nod from Valerie.

Sean smiled slightly at Vale's behavior. "Happy Baby." said Sean stroking Valerie's stomach gently.

"Good meal" Vale replied staring at Sean with a big smile.

After that, Valerie began to eat the food served impatiently. While Sean ate so elegantly while paying attention to every food Valerie took, so as not to be mistaken.

Seriate....
